Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Gameplay/Pre-Launch Discussion Thread

The game could use more villains, & I'm usually a bit more lenient about the Capcom side (with a select few exceptions, like Phoenix Wright.......please add him as DLC, Capcom). So if Meio ends up being an interesting character, I say bring him on.

I mean SFV get's free Fight Money from time to time and with the challenges as well. So it'd be nice if they offered something. Though I doubt it'd be anything substantial. In one of the the fiscal reports it was said free DLC like Not a Hero and stuff would be something they'd want to do in the future. To keep people holding onto their games and such. But to see if such an idea makes it past just Resident Evil and Monster Hunter World remains to be seen.

it will never happens. I literally never seen this kind of sales for PSN and XBLA like ever.

I strongly believe that Death wouldn't be playable character. She literally never fought in the comic book.

Part of me hope the Zip Leak is off. But we know Winter and Venom aren't in the story so they're pretty much confirmed for DLC unless they got cut or something. I'd like there to be a surprise on one of the sides that no one was expecting.

Death has never really gotten her hands dirty in the Marvel Universe. So unless Capcom took some liberties with her, I can't really see Death being playable.

I really hope it is. We haven't really been surprised at all when it comes to reveals. It would be nice to see something out of left-field and actually be (happily) surprised about it. Stuff has been too obvious.

Sigma/Black Panther
Monster Hunter/Venom
Meio/Winter Soldier

That's my guess. Ant-Man disappeared.
 
Grandmaster Mayo would be a lot easier to swallow had he been in the base roster or we had not been told explicitly that he was an NPC. I just don't get how you can straight up lie to people.

Would much rather have had Solo or even Hien if it were gonna be a Strider character

Also as much as I am glad to have Venom back, dude is not a brand new character.

To be fair, we don't know if he's playable yet, it's all process of elimination right now. But yeah, I'd imagine that more would be okay with Meio if he was in the base roster.

The only Capcom villains I really want to see are Jack Baker, Alexia, Lord Raptor, B. B. Hood, Teepo, Myria and Fou-Lu.

Trying to grasp at straws concerning the zip leak. Is there a reason Modok is not listed? Is he only a stage asset? I thought he might be apart of story mode?

Black Widow has to be coming at some point, right? I thought she was guaranteed for the base roster, but I'm dumb as hell apparently so who knows...
 
Oh yeah, Dr. Wily would be fun too. Although less so as DLC.

It's less that we're against Meio and more that there's way more characters we'd rather see. For me it'd be different if be was a launch character, but I'm not very keen on spending money on him specifically.

Pretty much. It's a fan service game. So DLC imo should kind of encapsulate that if you want sales. Not saying everyone needs to be a big wig. But Meio was never brought up in any capacity in MvC threads for as long as I can remember compared to other strider characters.
 
Dr. Wily would be too cool.

I imagine him as either a Doronjo like character that summons robot masters.

Or he's in a mech a la Tron Bonne, and summons robot masters in his supers.

He isn't. That recent leak was fake as heck and the "all-new characters" thing was also overstated. They never confirmed that the DLC would be all new characters, that was just speculation.

I'm can tell you've never played Marvel Heroes because it's painfully obvious that the models in MH are nowhere near as detailed as anything in MvCi

That game looked ugly when it first came out and that was like 5 years ago

Also I'm not entirely against Meio. I like weird unconventional characters.

Pretty much. X, Sigma and Jedah are good additions, because they all placed high on UMvC3 DLC polls. Poll favorites and characters, particularly leads, from unrepresented franchises I think should be prioritized, especially when there's so few characters already there and so many to pick from. Meio is kind of like, we already have Strider represented as a franchise, and it's not really a franchise with a lot of characters.
