This game is fucking horrendous.
All the players and the movement is so slow. Like really "sluggish", takes aaaaages to pass the ball. ~Feels like my TV isn't in Game Mode.
What's with not being able to choose difficulty of opponents in 2v2. Play with 3 star team and constantly playing Barcelona.

I've come from FIFA this year so i'm used to the responsivness from FIFA.
The delay in button press to actually passing the ball is way too high.
Meh - I like playing 2v2 with 4* teams. On FIFA it would match you against other 4* teams. On this you get 5* teams every game and it's just unfair.
The person I play with is pretty much hating every minute of this.
Are you holding the sprint button all the time?

I loved the online BETA, this feels different

I've played PES pretty much exclusively online for the last couple of iterations and I've never had a problem with it. It plays a much better game of football than the alternative and that's all that matters.
Anyway, just a few hours to go now!
I play it online all the time. It's fine if you use the strict network level and have a half decent connection.

I know this is meant to show off the passing possibility of the game and it does but some of that defending is horrendous.
Defenders standing around and watching attackers breeze past them......
Really hope that's on amateur difficulty.

Can't say I've ever had that issue to be honest.
What region are you? Because I do know online is region locked so if you have a version from a less popular region (US for example) then I could see that being an issue.

Lol the demo was probably designed to not intimidate people... the game is actually a LOT harder, and has an extra difficulty "Legend" that you have to unlock
After having the demo there for days, I decided to play it today and I'm kinda surprised how much I liked it. There still a few things that bugs me (goalkeepers animations and some IA moments) but other than that, I really liked the demo. And after playing the FIFA demo yesterday, there's no doubt which football game I should buy if I ever decided to get one.
No still waiting here. So much for an early night...

Yeah this has been one of my complaints for ages. Coming up against Real Madrid/Barca in every match gets boring fast.

Would keep an eye on PESgaming.com if you're really eager for one with a decent amount of teams early on (PS4).

I've never played a PES game but I'm finally jumping in now that the pc version isn't shite. How does getting the user made licenses work? Are they mods or just one big file?
Played some PES demo, played some FIFA demo.
Seriously... I used to be a PES fan from the PS2 era but was also one of the first sim fans to realise that FIFA got their game together in 06-09. Since that the game has stagnated and I chose PES for 16 and 17. Going back to FIFA 18 demo now feels...just like it did 5 years ago. Predictable play and ball glued to the feet of the players. I feel no dynamic of the game and it still feels "scripted".
To be honest I am not noticing a huge difference from PES 17 this year except some close ball control - but the game still feels tremendous and leaps and bounds over the alternative. Will get PES this year again, but will probably wait for a sale. Last year it only took a month or two.
