Hunter x Hunter Community Thread - OSU!

Even if he's an ass, Ging is still well respected in the Hunter community and the world at large because of all his accomplishments. Isn't he one of the most decorated and successful hunters in the organization?

He is one of the top 5 Hunter and nen master

He's also one of the top 5 Nen users in the world. Dude has professional clout in spades, but he's still an asshole lol.

Ging isn't even officially a hunter. He never got his license. He is like an honorary member

Are you sure? I thought I remembered that when he took the Hunter exam he was the only one to pass that year.

Edit: Oh duh, and the license that Gon was looking to give back to Kite was actually Ging's. Totally forgot about that too.

Huh guess I misremembered all that. I think it was one of the Zodiacs complaining that Ging never actually passed the Hunter Exam? That might not be right either.

By no means a new image but always makes me laugh:

Kinda looks like a Gamecube. The chapter was released after its release so it does fit. Also I just noticed Togashi's dog on the pillow which I never saw before.

Edit: Also the upright PS2 behind the Gamecube which I also just noticed and didn't circle

I tried looking for that specific comic but unfortunately I couldn't. What I did find were short comics drawn and written by Takeuchi about herself and Togashi. There's one about how they started dating, how Togashi had cold feet about proposing to her, and about having their first child together. They're absolutely adorable! I would love to see that cleaning one though if it exists somewhere.

And Togashi drew Komugi and the King as his take... or Palm and Gon ><

I've read that comic before. I don't remember how or when I did. But, it's got Takeuchi as the bunny, and Togashi as the doggo, right?

Yeah, there's a whole bunch of different ones about getting married/having kids/ her looking for jobs/ etc and it's kinda interesting seeing behind the curtain, so to speak.

I think I found where I read it, if this isn't allowed I'll remove it.

According to this Togashi didn't read Sailor Moon or even heard of it...damn. What is milk pudding and why does Togashi subsist off of it? He likes calculating money. Now all of the haggling stuff in YorkNew and APR make sense. Wait Naoko is the broke one? Lol at Naoko not wanting to wait for HxH to finish before they get married.

She would be an old lady or dead if she waited for HxH to end.

Just found out about this thread... now i dont have to suffer alone

Wait..that's less than the usual 1-2 year break @----@

Well his weekly comments aren't about his back killing him all the time and making his life miserable so I think he's probably feeling better finally.

So how is every one like this arc so far? To be honest im not a big fan of it rigjt now.

Same. Too many faces/names to memorize, which wouldn't be too bad if they weren't so similar looking. Outside of that, I'm struggling to get invested into the arc. Aside from the crazy prince that's learning Nen, I'm not particularly into most of the new characters. Basically waiting for the reunion between Kurapika and the Spiders. What makes it worse is the hiatus, which will inevitably have my interest wane even more.

I think it's been a fantastic arc so far. I think it has the potential to be one of the best ever. I have found the story to be very engaging. It's almost dense to the point of being overwhelming at times. There is just so much shit going on in the Black Whale, and I find it all very fascinating.

I was enjoying it in the beginning as I enjoy political intrigue and infighting but now I just want things to move forward. There's so much that's being set up but it's only being followed up by more set ups. I'm also with Lotus on the sheer amount of characters that were introduced in this arc alone. It's too hard for me to keep track of all the maids and bodyguards and how they do or don't have loyalty to whatever prince they're under. I feel like the arc is eventually going to be a good one to read through all at once, but right now I have middling feelings about it. Having the manga go into a regular release schedule, even a monthly one like Berserk or JoJo, would do wonders.

I'm really enjoying it but I love all the politicking going on and the tension and dread that is setting in. No one feels safe and I really don't like calling this "set up" anymore as I consider this the actual meat and potatoes of this current arc. The back stabbing, the sneaking in the shadows, the horror movie feel of different aspects all come together to make what could possibly be the darkest arc we've had so far. I also don't think the large cast will remain all that large as they're already dropping like flies.

I actually like this arc a lot. It's slow and tense, but it's pretty interesting. It will need an anime adaptation though to distill the Togashi-ness a bit.

A continuation of the anime would be fantastic, but with the pace the manga is going at right now it'll be a looooong time before there's enough content to justify more episodes.
