‘Destiny 2’ (-71%) holds firm at No1 for a second week in the face of six new releases to make the All Formats Top 40.

‘NBA 2K18’ slam dunks ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2018’ as this week’s highest new entry at No2. Basketball charting ahead of football is no mean feat and in doing so it achieves the biggest launch week ever for a basketball game as well as its highest ever chart position. It is a close run thing with Konami’s ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2018’ debuting 1,500 units behind at No3. ‘Dishonored: Death of the Outsider’ enters at No6 with ‘Metroid: Samus Returns’ new at No8, ‘Rayman: Definitive Edition’ for Nintendo Switch starting out at No11 and ‘NHL 18’ debuting at No23.

Jesus, D2.

FH3 and Crash will still be at the top of the charts in 2018, I'm betting on it. This is a sign, Crash Tag Team Racing is coming.

I thought Rabbids would have longer legs than this, given Switch has been fully stocked everywhere the last couple of weeks. A little disappointing.

Good to see Rayman making another chart appearance on the back of the Switch port. Hopefully we'll still get another sequel. It looks beautiful on the Switch screen too, having played the demo.

I was hoping for Dishonored to debut higher because of the low price for a standalone expansion (it's way cheaper in my local stores than Lost Legacy at launch). I guess other people like me have more important games on their priority list.

GAME were selling a Switch bundle with Rayman for the normal price of £279.99, so may explain why Rayman did surprisingly well

It was however also sold out on Amazon

I know Basketball's definitely grown in stature in the UK and Europe overall, but that's pretty embarrassing for PES and Konami to drop below a game in that sport.

Basketball being the more popular sport in UK confirmed.
Until the better football game launches and destroys every chart for some months.

Metroid only released on Friday, so that might have been a factor.

I really hope it and Mario/Rabbids do well enough to warrant future installments.

A shame we don't have more concrete sales figures but there is a chance that Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition might have had a better debut than the best-selling sku of Raymand Legends back in August 2013. At the very least, it should be in the same ballpark or very very close.

That makes me happy, I hope a sequel is in the cards at some point.

Such a shame to see these more recent PES games not performing well, they are fantastic. As far as gameplay is concerned they definitely got their grove back. Oh well, I suppose FIFA is gonna destroy the charts as per usual.

That's good to hear. It's a fantastic game, though I got my money's worth on Wii U and am not going to get the Definitive Edition.

It would be ironic if the two strongest platforms for this game were Wii U and Switch lol.

According to gamesindustry.biz it sold roughly in-line with last year's title. So about 20,000 - 25,000 units.
Thanks, sort of what I expected. Konami pretty much lost the UK, countries like Italy, Greece and Spain are pretty much their only strong markets in Europe.

It still astounds me to see GTA V right up the charts.
That thing has legs, it's making bank!

I think I read the other day that it's like the 2nd or 3rd best selling game in the US this year as well. It's crazy.

Oh hi Persona 5.

I seriously wonder how it would have done had the stock not been extremely limited at launch.

I was hoping for Dishonored to debut higher because of the low price for a standalone expansion (it's way cheaper in my local stores than Lost Legacy at launch). I guess other people like me have more important games on their priority list.

I still have Dishonoured 2 in its cellophane wrapper. If I enjoy that I do intend to buy DotO, but they've got to take a back seat due to my big backlog right now.

I know NBA sells extremely well but is outselling PES over here significant or expected? Unsure how much PES sells usually.

I think it's probably an indication of both this NBA series gaining popularity in the UK and PES having shrunk its marketshare a shit load since its heyday.

Metroid bombed.

Nintendo games rarely make a big impact on the chart here though. Given Metroid is one of Nintendo's more niche big franchises and that 3DS games often don't do well on the UK charts I'd say this is about as well as can be expected. It'll no doubt drop sharply next week though.

Is that Dishonored a new game or is it DLC for 2? (available separate)

It's a standalone expansion I believe. I guess comparable to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, or the recent Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

It would be ironic if the two strongest platforms for this game were Wii U and Switch lol.

Why would it be ironic? Wouldn't people who like platformers own those two consoles?

Rayman selling is a bit surprising... Then again it's a great game.

Why would it be ironic? Wouldn't people who like platformers own those two consoles?

Considering how Ubisoft sabotaged the Wii U version virtually as much as possible, then a port 4 years later that added very little, outperforming the 2 other platforms with significantly higher users bases, I'd say it makes Ubisoft's actions of peeing off the largest audience of their Rayman games even more stupid in hindsight.

Ubisoft were well within their rights to do what they did of course but I doubt many would have seen this coming when the delay of the Wii U version was announced.

Agents of Mayhem dropped out of the UK Top 40 and didn't make it into Germany's Top 20. That must be one of the biggest bombs of the year.

No showing for Ys VIII at all which is a shame. I thought NISA publishing the game might have made a difference to interest among RPG or action game fans.

It's not on the UK PS4 top 20, or both top 40 charts. It topped the Vita chart but when 2012's Metal Gear Solid HD sits at number 2 it's going to be slim pickings.

If it didn't crack the UK top 40 what sort of sales are we looking at here? 200 units?
