I feel like if you are able to be there at launch, you should be able to get one.

Everything after that depends on how Nintendo handles restocks.

I live on the outskirts of a small city and it seems like almost everyone who shows up at least an hour or so early will get one. I expect the stock situation to be much better than the NES Classic.

About 18 people in front of me at Best Buy Union Square NYC. Four just racked on with friends. I’ll wait for a bit and see how it goes.

Your friend isnt supposed to do that I dont think. Gamestops preorders were sold out. Je basically is "holding" one of the first come first serve ones for you. That's messed up considering some of us made the effort to go out to 24hr stores or fight scalpers with macros....

Not technically holding one for me. A person who is going to be there isn't buying one so I gave them the cash for it to get it for me.

i got the classic nintendo last year at walmart.

gonna try my luck again and head there a little after 11. If i see alot of people, ill leave but if it's a few, ill stay.

Wish me luck. I want to relive the days of Super Contra and FZero and mode 7 madness...

Saw this:

I have mine pre-ordered so i'm just gonna go in later, but this is for everyone else.

Man this amazon situation right now is annoying af. I wouldn't be worried if they had an estimated delivery date, whenever it was. I don't care if I get it a few days or even weeks late if they'd guarantee I'm getting it. The main reason I was happy to get a pre-order in was so I wouldn't have to stress the camping-out/etc. launch drama. If I don't try to go get one now and then my amazon order cancels a few days from now.......

I really don't want or have need for 2 either though. Ugh.

There is no stress-free scenario when Nintendo products are involved.

I read that as well. I’m not sure, to be honest. I want to ask but don’t want to lose my spot.

I’m assuming they wouldn’t have people waiting here for no reason.

Could be a line for 7 am tickets? Not sure. This BB is unique for being open now I'd imagine. The other ones in the city will have tickets if you get there at 5-7 am probably but I just am not able to make it that early.

I'm getting the European/British/UK version, but I don't want that one... I want the American one. I'm thinking I could find a trader on craigslist... but I also spent like $30 more for it.

What am I doing haha.

No idea how many my 24 hour Wal-Mart is going to have, and they aren’t answering the phone right now.

It’s 10:10, should I be heading out?

Walmart just cancelled my online preorder. I had 2 separate orders shipping to 2 separate addresses (my house and my brothers house). Don’t know why the fuck it took this long for them to decide to cancel one of them. They even cancelled the first order and not the second one.

I'm number 18 in line at the 24-hour Alexandria, VA Walmart. Employees say they have 20, Brickseek says 33, so fingers crossed I get one either way.

At my local Walmart with a friend. They are getting 34 and there's 10 in line so far. They were nice enough to let us grab chairs off the floor to sit in until 12. Screw Walmart online though for not shipping my order that was supposed to arrive tomorrow lol.

So amazon pretty much screwed the pooch I take it? No way I’m getting my order tomorrow as it hasn’t even shipped

Amazon emailed weeks ago saying that preorders weren't guaranteed to get them on the launch date.

They did guarantee that they will get them to everyone that preordered.

Been choosing pick up at store option for all my games at Best Buy. Had this shipped and arrived today. Changing all my pre-orders to shipping.

Guys, please remember to not bite employees heads off if you miss getting a system. As a retail employee, I have seen the madness that entails getting a hot product. I also waited for the Wii many years ago.

I work at Best Buy, see some of yall tomorrow morning? Shout out to fellow gaffers.

...I'm realizing GameStop (US) never actually called me about my in-store preorder.

Should I be worried? I have my receipt and everything so I figure I'll just show up in the morning, but... That's not exactly great to think about.

A random 24 hour Walmart in Florida told me none of the stores in the whole district had received any, but to ask target and gamestop.

I'll go to my wal-mart after work tomorrow. If they have one, awesome. If not, I'll check back. I'm in a small town so supply may actually outweigh demand here. They have at least three or four Switches in stock every time I go there and that's once or twice a week.

Sweet, mine is confirmed on its way for overnight delivery.
Actually surprised we got any in New Zealand. Normally we get shafted for anything Nintendo-related.

The fuck, I called earlier a Walmart earlier and they said no tickets.

It was a complete shit show. Showed up at 6:20 PM Pacific. No line, huge gaggle. They finally formed a line, and announced they only had 40 units.

Line was easily over 75 by 7 PM. Lots of sad faces.

Oh I’m not worried about the system. I just want to be able to walk in get to the store pick up window get it and leave without having to wait in any other lines.

They usually have 2 different lines, one for preorders and one for walk ins. You are going to wait regardless because a lot of people will show up to pick up their preorder in the morning . Just go 1 hour after opening to make sure everything is quiet . I will only opick up mine afternoon

We had to talk the manager here into doing tickets. And they are still making us stay in line WITH the tickets.

Its VERY YMMV with walmart managers.

They also wont let us sit down here. Something something fire code something.

I doubt you will find one, you can't compare 6 months after switch release to first day snes release
