*walks into Walmart & Meijer at 3:30 a.m., NOTHING for both stores aside from Walmart having a display thing telling you it exists*

*Amazon still has no update as to when it'll ship*

*feels bad for nothing being able to find SNES Mini for best friend since both of us have huge nostalgia for it but he still hasn't played some games on there like Super Mario RPG*

Damn it....

Surprisingly my Walmart in Canada got 90. Showed up 10 mins before they opened and was number 56 in line. So thankful it ended up being easier than I thought it would be.

I feel for the ppl who couldn't get one, but the experience of buying on on the app this morning, leaving the office for a 5 minute train ride, picking it up and then grabbing lunch really can't be beat. Especially when you consider the nightmare that was pre-ordering one of these.

So is there any place near Union Square where you can pick up Snes classic?

I got mine at 28th street which isn't too far from Union Square, unless you mean the san fran union square.

Man your cats a pimp

Just got one via Amazon Instant in College Park, MD. It's a bit of a drive, but I'll be working by there on Monday, so I can pick it up then.

Apparently from what i'm hearing is the Snes Classic Hori Fighting Commander wireless pad is a piece of shit.

it's spotty and disconnects. You need to be at close range to get any kind of decent reception and even then it's still bad.

Probably need to wait till a 2nd revision comes out or something

Going for that authentic 90’s wireless controller experince is all.

Your 100% right and now that I've cooled off I can say I overreacted. Its the thirst man, it got me good.

Oh yeah it's a frenzie and I'm sure I'd be in the same boat too steaming under to collar so I don't blame you! I mainly just think that noooooobody should be shelling out eBay prices just yet because 1) fuck scalpers and 2) it would be such a pisser and waste of cash to spend $100+ on an SNES Classic today or this weekend when supposedly there's gonna be another big shipment as soon as next week. I'd be even more pissed if I missed one today, bought one on eBay for $150, and then by the time it got to me there were restocks and I essentially wasted $70. That's money for Super Mario Odyssey money right there! I try not to "concern troll" but the thought of people resorting to eBay already is no good! As long as Nintendo's good on their word we should all make it out just fine and for MSRP :D

Brickseek says Walmart has 2 SNES minis left.

.........why would they have them now compared to 3:30 a.m. in the morning? Target doesn't even say how many they have via Brickseek.

I'm a tad disappointed that everything is in English. The german translations were top notch back then, of ten better than the original :(

I got off work at 11:30 am headed to nearby best buy store I was told I could not buy it without a ticket at that time at 1 pm they would sell it to people without tickets I asked if they would have he did not give me a definite answer made it sound like they have enough. I left there is a walmart in same shopping center I went in asked where the gaming department is employee knew why I was there told me a horde of people were there at 6 am they were sold out twenty minutes before 1 pm I went back to best buy there was a long line there was no line when I stopped by before 12 pm I felt so dumb I got in line at 1 pm best buy started selling snes classic minis strict 1 per person limit I bought mine the line was long it seemed everyone in line was getting their snes classic minis.

I posted this in the B/T/S thread, but thought someone here might be interested.

I have a SNES Classic that I want to trade for a NES Classic. Send me a PM if interested.

Just had to walk into Best Buy and pick up my pre-order. Amazingly, there were no lines.

Finished my first run of Star Fox 2. It's definitely a trial-and-error game, but the controls click eventually. Veterans of the first game might want to know Control C is the original game's default scheme; things progressed much more smoothly after that.

Can't wait till game club thread is up, it's hard to actually discuss the games and system right now.

In a side note, the system is pretty sturdy, the kids and dogs have knocked it down hard into the ground as dozen times already (Many time outs were given).

Got mine delivered this morning from Tesco. Pretty impressed with the packaging and look; pretty much looks like a mini snes, not sure what I was expecting.

Picked up one at best buy today for one of my co-workers as a man-shower gift as his baby is arriving on monday lol.

Thing is so tiny!

Have 2 arriving via mail for myself and my older brother.

Picking up my pre-order at Gamestop, no issues, no line, totally excited.

Dude rings up item, it's already paid off, good to go!. I notice as he's bagging that one of the corners is bashed in to hell. I ask I could please have one that wasn't used as practice for a field goal and he's fine with it. As he's getting the new one, he makes a snide comment of, "so I guess your gonna be like that and resell this, huh?"

No MF'er, I just wanted a system that looked new and not like one you kicked around behind the store because FIFA was out today.

Seriously though, so glad I got one and really excited to fire it up and play with my kids later...

Decided on a whim to call around my area and see if anything was left.

Nope.

I suppose if I happen to see one between now and Christmas I'll pick one up, but I never even glimpsed a NES Classic in the wild.

What a prick.

two SNES classics for an NES classic seems more reasonable due to the abundant stock available right now.

They don't have those anymore. Trust me, I stopped at a walmart that had 2 this morning and they claimed they sold them all so: they were stolen, employees are hoarding them or they suck at inventory.

I really hope Nintendo does meet demand with this thing, it's a pretty slick little system. I hooked it up to the projector in the conference room at work and productivity has ceased.

Is this sarcasm or something that I missed earlier in the thread?

Not sarcasm. It really looks like any Walmart pre-orders that have not shipped by now are on backorder.
