Can somebody compare the shell of the snes classic and the NES classic ? I was wondering if I can buy a NES classic case , that is already in stock and much cheaper, and use for the snes

I just printed 3 manuals as small booklets from the pfd files on the nintendo website.

Huge queues in Australia. Some stores only have 50-60 per store. Others eg: Target limited the amount of consoles per store (just a few stores in each state out of all of them). So that theres plenty of stock in minimal locations.

Picking up my pre ordered unit shortly, just got told by a friend that one Target store had 500 of them.

Not officially, but a tool was developed for the NES Classic that was able to inject ROMs or even other whole emulators. The SNES Classic runs on the same hardware, so it won't be long before the same kind of thing is available.

What the what? Wal Mart? You glorious bastards. You actually came through with a pre-order? I just got my shipping status (no email) with a FedEx tracking number. 10/5 delivery date. I'm okay with that. And this was a 8/25 pre-order.
 
Got mine here in NZ today. Played a bit and am very happy with everything. CRT mode looks great on my desktop monitor. I've decided to start with Castlevania IV for some weird reason. Haven't played that since 1992!

The music. It was the first one I played for 5 minutes just for that. Then me and my daughter started playing World for the game club thread.

This thread is killing me. I'm an 8/25 walmart preorder and I keep seeing these posts. I just want some kind of status change...I've been sitting at "Preparing Order" for a month
 
Mine was delivered today. Arrived absolutely beautiful. EU version from Amazon.de

But man, what the hell is going on in the USA?
People can't get their pre-orders, because of some "treasure truck" what? Lol.

Yeah every time someone says their 8/25 order switched to shipped I re-check mine and nope still preparing. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-

It's a glitch caused by Wal-Mart's app. If someone scans an item in app then never actually checks out, it takes awhile for it to update. So if some else quickly buys it, it removes 2 feom inventory. Same thing happened with Switches.

Classy Cat, I am happy to say that mine has also changed to "shipped." FedEx shows that it simply means that the shipping label has been printed. Come on, Thursday!

Amazon just launched a service in specific cities where they have a truck that delivers unique items for a day, in this case it's the SNES Classic, yet people who pre-ordered through Amazon are being told their systems are on back order, even though Amazon clearly had systems in stock due to the new Treasure Trucks.
 
My buddy got one at a TRU at 4:00 this afternoon. I rushed over after work, but they sold the last one about 4:30 the guy said.

It bodes well that it took all day to go through their supply, maybe on the next run.

I just had a major nostalgia trip. I was kneeling in front of my living room TV (because the controller cords are so short), but that replicated me kneeling in front of the 13" tv in our basement when I was a kid. And I was playing F-Zero on a "real" SNES controller and leaning into the turns.

The back soreness is new, though :P
 
What does it mean if brickseek says 0 quantity, limited stock? Just some delay in status updates? One store's been like that for a few hours now
 
Opened mine this evening, played for a couple of hours and was left with a big grin on my face. I have never really been into emulators, so some of these games I haven't played for 20 years. I played a bit of Mario kart, star fox, donkey Kong, super Mario world and Zelda.

I don't know what I am doing in Mario kart! Out of all the games this feels like it has aged the most.

Definitely looks much better with the CRT scan setting. Without it, the games really do not look how you remember.

Cant wait to show my kids tomorrow.

What has the stock been like in the UK? I have another couple of units available for collection (Christmas presents) but I may just leave them if I should be able to get them later.
 
I hope people don't let the likelihood of being able to add more games distract/sidetrack/dissuade them too much from the games that are on there.
Since, there are a number of absolutely amazing games on there.
 
Does Best Buy or Gamestop sell extension cables for the controllers?

Seeing how I really don't want to wait an extra day, I'm thinking of grabbing a pair from the store tomorrow and returning them later when the $1 Amazon order arrives.
