Destiny 2 |OT2| Leviathan Wakes (Spoiler Tag ALL Raid Discussion)

Is there a list of the best or most loved weapons from factions and planetary vendors? I have been just grabbing a ton of stuff from them and deleting it almost instantly......I want to make sure I'm not getting rid of any diamonds in the rough.

Does the Prestige Nightfall give you another set of loot drops for the week, at least? Or is it really just an aura and an achievement?

First attempt at full raid today with PUGs.

First group got all the way to Callus in ~5 hours, which isn't bad as we were learning mechanics. Gauntlet gave us the most trouble actually.

Then one or two people went AFK on Callus after 10~ tries. Found replacements, wiped a few more times, then everyone bailed.

Tried another group entirely. After ~10 attempts we got a smooth machine running. But on our last attempt, Callus had 5% left after second damage phase. Got to third damage phase. Some dude died because he didn't jump up on the platform with us, and everything went to shit. Everyone bailed. Extremely frustrating.

Overall I'd have to say this raid is more difficult than the ones in Destiny 1. It's certainly taking a lot longer to get through. I might give it another go with another PUG tonight but not sure. I'd like to get it done before the reset at least.

It's really not hard if your team knows the fights. If anything it's really easy, at least with normal mode. Once you get a team that knows it you'll clear it in an hour.

Need 1 to help a group get their Calus kill.

PS4 (FR and Join on Hawkian)
Hmmm ok. I’ll have to go through my vault now and make some decisions.

Also-when are you going to start doing Thursday newbie raids?
I love that it's 100% for sure on Thursdays ;)

As soon as possible.

Being able to lead a true newbie raid (meaning me + 5 people who have never touched the raid before) requires basically firsthand experience with every role in every encounter and decisions about which strat(s) to run for each, who to put in which role, and how to explain them. In this raid, the order of the encounters and the route I will run newbies through to most respect their time will change each week because the order of encounters (and thus associated shortcuts) will change.

I don't want to start newbie raids until I have a relatively high degree of conifdence in my ability to lead them. Out of over 200, only a single-digit number of attempts have ended in failure for the night. Rest assured I am doing it as much as I can, trying my best to get to a level where I can make sure I'll be able to offer high odds of victory.

you're a good man hawk! you probably don;t remember, but you helped me and my cousin with our first nightfall in destiny 1. I remember you had pocket infinity before the nerf, and wrecked all the minotaurs.

Hawkian made a good list but here are a few off the top of my head:

Nameless Midnight (Scout) from Zavala
Curtain Call (Rocket Launcher) from Zavala
Scathelocke (AR) from Devrim Kay
Better Devils (Hand cannon) - Crucible
Uriel's Gift (AR)
A Single Clap (Sniper Rifle)
Unspoken Promise (Sword)
Last Hope (Sidearm)
