fuck man, that was a scary 30 minutes for me personally. saw the story and then remembered my dad was in vegas tonight. couldn't get a hold of him for like 20 minutes. finally talked to him and he said he just got back to the hotel room. he was right down the street from where it happened. i don't think he was particularly close, but he said it was pretty crazy. people running and hiding, swat yelling at people to leave. i could hear the adrenaline in his voice.

No sources have said 20 dead police and its probably not a great time to start jumping to conclusions. By the sound of things, the 20 dead number was actually 20 casualties, which includes injured. Either way, most sources are still saying 2 dead and +20 injured based on who's been brought into the hospitals.

As well meaning as those people might be, it's definitely the right call. This is still an ongoing situation. Hopefully there aren't any more suspects out there, but it seems like that's unclear right now.
