Doesn't the guy who owns 4chan work at Google? I would look it up but i'm at work and virtually anything 4 chan related, included the wikipage is blocked.

Moot works at Google now but he sold 4chan to Hiroyuki Nishimura a few years back, which is when the site went really downhill since Hiroyuki never squashed /pol/ like Moot would occasionally do with /news/.

This is horrible. My girlfriend was about a mile from it and she’s okay but when I got to the office and saw a photo of us I started crying and had to go to the parking lot.

Fuck anyone who’s against gun control

Probably not, but I'm sure he already got his phone call from the NRA giving him talking points to deflect

If only all the hotel staff had automatic weapons and could have averted the tragedy.

Little timmy in the next room could have opened fire the minute he heard a window break . Poor little timmy didn’t have access to a machine gun .

I have made an executive order that every hotel room has an ar gun ready.

Correct. If I wasn't carrying, even then I'd still respond to the threat. When I'm armed, at least there is a better chance than being without.
You could respond with a pistol to a high powered automatic rifle 32 stories a above you, and hundreds of meters away?

I can't stand the man and his supporters but there is no way he will say that.... Right?

Probably more along the lines that hotel staff should have had been armed to the teeth and maybe then more bloodshed could have been avoided. Some bullshit like that.

Or just talk about the strength of America and how America needs to hold onto its strength and protect ourselves from future incidents.

Blah blah blah

Disgusting

Im already seeing facebook videos blaming the victims for now being prepared

Unbelievable. How do you prepare for an assault of this type that happens in all of 60 seconds

FUCK these assholes

Fuck actually acknowledging that this is a problem that can be fixed, let's expect people to be hyper aware for mass shootings anytime they do anything.

I'm so sick of how stupid and backwards this country is.

Boggles the fucking mind. How do we let weapons capable of such destruction be so easily obtainable?

Well the issue at hand was that these weapons WERE NOT easily attainable which makes him owning them and in such high number more worrisome.

Most likely bought from the black market or from military personal through shady means.

This is one of the saddest and most profound tweets I've seen, and its an old one!

Sums America up perfectly :(

Did not know you could target peoplo from that distance with those guns.

Incredible you can get them basically the same way you can buy anything on a supermarket. I know you need some papers and time but the point is that you can get it after all.

"Vegas has debt on many sides. So many sides."

“This wouldn’t have happened at a trump hotel I tell you that , even little rocket man couldn’t hit a trump hotel “

“I tell you that , wouldn’t happen , have you seen my hotels , beautiful hotels , you should all come visit , amazing building “

2015, Trump, didn't realize he already said "not enough guns":

"If you look at Paris, they didn't have guns, and they were slaughtered. If you look at what happened in California, they didn't have guns, and they were slaughtered."

"I think it would've been a lot better if they had guns in that room, somebody could protect," he said. "They could've protected themselves if they had guns."

It's laughable that any high functioning human being anywhere should be subjected to watch or listen to that amoral piece of shit spout his garbage after an inhuman event like this. World is fucked.
It's like that Dave Chappelle joke about getting Ja Rule's take after 9/11

50+ people dead in a mass shooting let's hear what Donald Trump has to say.

Except in this case he's the POTUS

Oh OK, that makes sense.

Was he on a balcony? I was confused from the start because I never noticed any on Mandalay Bay when I stayed next door at the Luxor.

It was either balcony or the window was taken out to aim from. I saw a pic earlier today from the hotel showing the line of vision/distance. I'll try to find it again, but it's not nice trying to cycle through pictures online right now. The picture I saw wasn't depicting any violence, I believe it was taken from an unrelated time but being used as an illustration now.

Well if he actually had a fully automatic gun, he didn't get it legally.

Full auto guns are illegal in America.

Might very well be slide fire / bump fire stock deployed. We just don't know at this stage. What we do know is that he had over the excess of 10 rifles.

The attacker's brother just spoke to the Daily Mail:

---

"He was just a guy. Something happened, he snapped or something.

Speaking from his home in Orlando, Florida, Eric said: "We know absolutely nothing, this is just, we are dumbfounded."

"We have absolutely no idea. Our condolences go to the victims and all their families."

Eric said that he and Stephen, 64, lived on different coasts - Stephen's last address was in Mesquite, Nevada - and that they did not speak that often.

He said that his mother was 'in shock' and struggling to cope with the news. He said: "Our family is OK, we're sitting in here in our house hoping that everyone doesn't attack us."

"My mother is 90 years old, lives down the street from me, we're just completely dumbfounded. You can imagine how this is affected her."

This seems so strange to me that when something like this happens, the media immediately searches/stalks every corner of every public record to find where the suspect's relatives live -- then camp outside their house to ask them questions. Maybe its just me..

Gotta get those interviews first. Think of the ratings!

The audio of the officer whispering right before they blew down this guy's hotel room door. Jesus.

The knowledge that a rifle might be pointed at the door must be unbelievably daunting.

The media is absolute cancer when it comes to national tragedies like this. They sell their soul to get the latest scoop/reactions/tearful interviews.

I'd love to know if he bought all 10 from the same place. If so, that probably should have raised some eyebrows.

Can we please not do the back and forth whining about labels? Like honestly it's fucking gross.
