i hate that the gun control thing is always the first thing the far left goes to. its the most simplistic route of logic possible. lazy even. if guns were illegal or even made "harder to get" with laws, it will not prevent things like this from happening.
besides, he could have just as easily killed as many by driving over people. probably more effective actually. anyone who has been to vegas before can tell you those sidewalks on the main strip or even the old vegas under that overhang are always packed with pedestrians.
Worthless,terrible, garbage post.

"He could have used something else." True, but irrelevant. He used a gun - several in fact - and there's a reason for that.

It would be nice if you could engage the problem we actually have rather than trying to change the subject. Try harder next time.

okay cool soooo you admit if he didnt have a gun he would have driven people over. so you admit that its not the guns to blame but the killer? so then youd have to admit that banning guns would not have prevented this crime from happening.

Less dead people seems like a win.

If guns are no more effective than other weapons, lets just ban them then. Right? Why even bother with them.

Please. Go on with your incredible insight.

The only solution you have is "whataboutism" like typical gun-nut cowards.

I don't understand how it went from 2 to 58, did the 56 people die in hospital?

It's impossible to get an accurate casualty count when you have a lot of (para)medical aid descending on a crime scene/disaster area; some people are treated on site, some are driven to random hospitals, some treated in the ambulance stationary or driving, some are brought to a casualty collection point, some are in areas still being swept by responders and some are moved to aid by civilians.

Asking for an accurate casualty list in the first few hours is asking the impossible; nobody could honestly tell you.

If he had driven people over less than 500 people would be dead or injured..

By your logic, might as well have let him use an RPG. Crime still would have happened anyway, so what difference does it make how deadly the weapon he uses is?

The first time I learned about those, I just thought it was insane that they were legal. Can see one in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_SWefYWKw0

This country's gun laws are so fucking dumb.

It's not the laws that are the joke, its the way the ATF regulates everything that is the joke.

People write letters to the ATF asking if something is legal and someone from the ATF then makes something legal by responding and saying "that's OK"

Wtf are you going on about, making it harder to get weapons would help a ton. Look at the rest of the world.

In what reality does your mind live in where it is possible to kill 60 people and injure over 500 people by driving over them with a vehicle?

Seems to work for UK and Australia. Not perfectly, but exponentially better than US.

Man. Don't. Have some respect.

That is not the agreed definition of Terrorism. There are sorts of reasons why Nevada might have defined it that way. Probably to get more federal aid in cases like this after 9/11..

There is no (universally) agreed upon definition of terrorism.

the far left lmfao, keep showing your ass. lazy is not doing a goddamn thing since sandy hook all because little baby gun chuds cry about “freedum”. this is all on the nra, republicans, gun fetishists, and people who want to cry politics (like you!) when a mass shooter kills people.

Yeah, I mean, the United States only has 10 gun deaths per 100,000 people, that's basically the same as the UK's 0.23 gun deaths per 100,000 people (both per annum).

You can say 'the left says this, the left says that' all you want but unfortunately facts aren't on your side here.

Also, I'm sure you've been told before but cars actually serve another purpose. Cars are useful in the read world and are misappropriated as killing machines. Guns, however, are.

Look, we get it, you’re trolling.

Regarding the car comment? You 1) could not have done this with a car and 2) cars have a meaningful purpose besides killing. It’s a moot point.

If the laws banned something, ATF would say "that's not OK." Laws also govern how ATF operates.

Tell this to countries with sensible gun laws.

the idea that the far left is anti-gun is pretty funny tbh.

most far left peoples and groups i know of are pretty pro second amendment. it's the liberals who are anti-gun.

Sad thing is this guy has killied and injured more people than isis has or will in an attak. But this will go unnoticed

How in the world can you come to the conclusion that this is going unnoticed? It's the story on every news channel, and news site in the US. It's one of the top stories around the western world.

It's funny because some people will always argue gun control will only harm the good people because they won't be able to fight back. Which cowboy would bring his rifle to a concert and save the day?

I don't even know why I myself bother engaging with these folks.

They know other countries with stringent gun regulations have far fewer gun deaths per capita than the US.

They know you can't kill and injure nearly 600 people with a knife or a car.

They know doing so from 32 floors up and a safe distance is only possible with a gun.

But desperately they want to deflect from these points.

Are you kidding me with this shit?

This story is literally on every single news network in most Western countries. Go unnoticed what the fuck.

I don't see how anyone could argue against gun control. Just, I mean, look at the damn words.

Gun. Control.

Come on now.

Doesn't matter the reason when they list these numbers usually.

I guess my point is people equivocating injured with guns, which I am not sure is easy to do. Whether it’s a bomb, a car, or a gun, a tight space like this will send people into a frenzy and cause a mass amount of injuries. Guns are often far too lethal to leave such a disparity between injured and killed so I was confused by some comments

Remember when black people peacefully protested and that made one guy angry and pissed and demand consequences?

Remember when a white guy killed dozens of people and a guy reacted emotionless and didn't demand any consequences?

Same guy.

That guy is the US-President.

So... Basic ass dude, with no history background or military training, priors or criminal record, family and friends refer to him as friendly and kind, and say he owned no weapons, and "not a gun person" etc etc.

WHY IN THE FUCK DID HE DO THIS.

I doubt that guy was posting in good faith. Most likely someone's alt they activated to stir shit.
