Nioh coming to Steam on November 7, Nioh Complete for PS4 same day

*Sigh was hoping for a model swap
That's in the game! Unlockable skins with in-game currency.

I genuinely don't understand how one can hate ninja Gaiden but enjoy nioh. The game is so Ninja Gaiden that it hurts.
I don't hate Ninja Gaiden exactly (though I do find DMC boring and loathe Platinum games), but they're just too hard for me and I rage-quit them very early. Plus the lack of exploration/level design tends to bore me.

Neat! But entirely expected.
Exactly 9 months later, I guess those exclusivity deals are typically negotiated in 3 month chunks.

The 100 GB is weird cause it's only 55 GB on PS4 with all DLC.

This could be a case where the compressed size is close to 50 GB and during installation, both the compressed and uncompressed files have to sit on the harddrive at the same time. This would temporarily use close to 100GB of space before the temporary files are removed.

I absolutely hate that games need so much free harddrive space to install nowadays though.

Oops meant to say for me, most console exclusives that appeal to me are third party and they're becoming a rare breed.

Their first party output? (And third party exclusives which tend to stay on their systems).
You said we can ignore ps and Xbox consoles if we ignore the majority of their first party output. Shouldn't the same rules apply for Nintendo. There are quite a few third party exclusives still only on PlayStation as well. If you meant just for you then that's fine but your post made it sound like a general observation.

could be anything KT is inconsistent with HDD space requirements
just small comparision of steampage and depot size on steamdb

Holy mother of fuck... O_o

I've just seen the HDD requirements (haven't gave it to much attention before cuz i mostly care about CPU and GPU requirements). For what fucking reason does the game require THAT MUCH space? Is TN ever heard about the ability to pack a bunch of shit into archives? It'll take me one day to download it and i have pretty decent internet connection (90 Mbit/s DWN / 90 Mbit/s UPLD), but imagine the someone have a shitty internet connection... it will take a few days to download the game if not a week. What a clusterfuck.

Very good that it's coming to PC, but my current gaming schedule is packed as it is. I'll catch it on sale maybe.

Also would have been nice to play this port at launch since I was only playing Gravity Rush 2 when it was released, but something something Sony published. Thanks Sony!

"never going to happen"

On topic though, hope the port is a good one. I wanted to try this one for quite a while, so I hope its performance on various hardware holds up and they actually thought through the options

Superb game, definitive as a favorite for the year. Fell a little behind but got back into the second DLC only this past week.

Seemed intuitive that with all the constant and full-fledged updates that it would end up on PC and/or clearly as a complete edition. And that strategy guide is still on pre-order...

well it was only published in the west by Sony generally speaking, KT still owns it and can do what they want with it. Its similar to Demon's Souls, Atlus doesn't really have any rights if Sony wanted to make an enhanced version. My guess is that Sony really gave them localization assistance to expand their reach

50 GB+ 4K textures is 100% bollocks. Look at F4 official "4K textures" pack which doesn't look that good at all (especialy when you look at the size of it) and performs like shit. Hell, even 4K textures mods for Skyrim looked a hell of a lot better and did not asked for freaking 50 GB+ HDD space. There's something else going on for sure.

If I'm not mistaken, it was also a marketing thing initially as well as publishing?

That doesn't assuage our wtfs man, these are like a couple GB off. Nioh with all DLC on PS4 is 56GB...
