it's really just a single post and a few replies, but sure
my only real point is that anyone who's been turned off the lackluster budget of the Anime would probably feel much better just reading the manga
but that's like, every anime, so yeah
it very quickly grows on you. It's actually very well done.
It's a shame that it translates so horribly into the anime though. The artstyle is a bit different, but the manga doesn't actually lack any nuance or detail, which is the biggest problem with the anime style.

I think there are different pros and cons with both versions of that arc, but I feel like I overall enjoyed the manga version of the Black arc better. I agree that the characterization of Black is better in the anime, and it has a more substance at the beginning with a lot better set up, but I think the manga version generally explains things better and nakes more sense, and the climax to me is HOLY F good and honestly has one of my favorite DB moments of any official DB work, while I have more problems with the climax in the anime. Of course I like that Trunks gets more spotlight in the anime, but at the same time he could have been handled way better. And definitely the art being more consistently good enchances the manga for me.
I still have to go through both again to really judge, I'm still kinda high off the climax of the manga version.

Both of them would be pretty out there picks, considering most Dragonball fans in the West wouldn't know who they are. But both of them would offer something unique playstyle-wise. They also double as both being the kind of "artificial lifeforms" that would fit in perfectly with this game's "Android-focused" storyline.

I think merged zamasu and vegito blue would be the first DLC characters they add.
I get it and it's possible, but it doesn't mean we can't discuss both and see if a character in DBFZ could be based on both versions of the character.
Nah, it's clear you're just not too fond of Super, and arguing about which version of a character was better is still on-topic, as we can discuss many aspects which could be represented in-game.
But it does though, for reasons I explained above as their movesets vary between versions.
And this is a fucking Dragon Ball thread. How are you not gonna expect people to discuss Dragon Ball even for a bit? You're simply being too ridiculous about Super.
But it wasn't about which version of the character would fit more in the game. It was literally about the anime or manga being better.
And some people mentioned Merged Zamasu from the manga using some interesting thing like teleporting limbs and the Kacchin metal, a callback to Kaioshin using it against the Z-Sword.
You know, if you guys don't like Super you do you, I don't really mind and will keep discussing the same way I've been.

Well right now it seems all Super representation is based on the Frieza movie. All the characters alive at that point all seem to be having their designs pulled from there as well. (Can't wait for my green sweatsuit Gohan)

The manga/anime talk came from comparing moves and demeanor, of which this game takes both into account. Until there's a final roster, speculation will take place as to which iterations of which characters we see. That's the point of the thread, to gauge expectations and discuss the potential of announced/unannounced characters who belong to the greater property of Dragon Ball.

I would also love Future Gohan, but Arale is my most wanted character for sure.
