Well right now it seems all Super representation is based on the Frieza movie. All the characters alive at that point all seem to be having their designs pulled from there as well. (Can't wait for my green sweatsuit Gohan)

But it isn't? Blue Goku and Vegeta are based around the Universe 6 and Goku Black arcs.

Anyway I wasn't trying to police anybody I was just giving my reasoning why I don't think we'll get reps from the manga. The manga just doesn't seem to get the exposure the anime does.

Well yeah they're using their SSJ models as a base, which use their Battle of the Gods designs

I think NPCs like Bulma and even 18 in story mode use the RoF designs as well though which is why I see most of the stuff being pulled from there

He means that it is likely that they won't use the manga as a reference for their moveset. Like SSB Vegeta for example, he had a manga exclusive attack they could've used, but they didn't.

Or with Black, he's arguing that they'll focus on his moveset in the anime, rather than anything he does in the manga.

I like green track suit and glasses because it gives Gohan his own visual identity, vs dressing him up in either Goku's clothes or Piccolo's clothes, or something inbetween like the purple GI he wore during Buu saga

I'm more talking about the future in terms of moves and such. Heck ResF was skipped in the manga version.

I'm mainly referring to how moves and forms that so far been unique to the Super manga haven't been referenced to my knowledge outside the manga.

Sucks that they don't really know what to do with Gohan it seems.

Pretty much this, yeah. Even the End of Z cemented that he stopped training and was a scholar. That was always what I liked about his character, dude never liked fighting but always rose to the occasion when he was needed. I know we'll be getting the orange Gi, but it would be really nice if we got one of his more original outfits, like the green tracksuit. Pipe dream, though.

Seriously on its own it's not a terrible look, but it's a shame that after so many years getting multiple unique outfits the one adult Gohan seems perpetually stuck with is his worst dad's look.

Because Zamasu is a complete drama queen with a literal god conplex. He openly admits his villainous monologues are entirely for himself. Of course his attacks would be just as flashy.

Gohan fans always do this to themselves, this is what happen when you started watching DB with DBZ. He'll never be more than what he is, a C Tier Fighter and that's ok.

Because they would make so much money just by costantly putting out new skins every month. I mean, almost every single character in the roster has like a dozen of historic, iconic and beloved outfits...

To each his own i guess. Manga Zamasu was basically Light Yagami : DBZ version.

I never really took the Anime Zamasu seriously, even less so when they run up on Black and he's just magically this complete powerhouse of a villain with strange mannerisms for no adequately explained reason.

But most importantly to this specific discussion...his fused/zombie arm/merging with the universe (?????) forms were really, really stupid. I feel like his Manga incarnation would make a far better fighting game character, from appearance to moveset variety.

Kid Buu is one of the obvious choices we all expect, alongside Mystic/Ultimate Gohan & Beerus. I guess we can expect a batch of Buu Saga reveals next, followed by the DBS reveals to round things out (& 21 if she's playable).

Yeah, they basically ahve to manually shade every frame of animation, so it would be a ton of work. Only 1 character in the entire Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 roster has a playable alternate costume.

A new costume for this game is almost as much effort as creating a new character, lots of drawing and animation involved, it's possible but the team is fairly small and all the details that go into each character is very time consuming.

This is why I like manga Zamasu's fighting style better. His stuff in the anime is so gimmicky and clunky while his manga techniques can much more naturally compliment DBZ fighting and it's more fun to watch because of it.

That big thing appears in the anime and it just kinda slows down the fight and they try to punch through it, has a beam struggle with it and meh.

Edit: Not "it", but him while he has it up as he just kinda used it as a turret. Anyway it was flashy and unique but didn't make for that fun of an encounter imo.

Infinite Zamasu in the anime was unbeatable without Zeno. In the manga they could have sealed all of them away easily.
