Well for starters they have far more moveset potential.

I won't complain if he gets in mind you I'll be happy for his fans, I just won't be in any rush to ask for him.

I could see Ginyu being the Captain Commando of DBFZ (in that he’d call in the Ginyu Force for certain moves), which would be sick.

While you’re right in that Hit & Goku Black have more moveset potential, the roster could use some more big characters, something that Nappa offers.

Moveset potential should be at the bottom of anyones list of reasons not to include someone. Look at Krillin, dude throws rocks and beans.

If they wanted to put Nappa in, I have no doubt they could make him sick as shit.

Honestly they already did, they're clearly looking into Extreme Butoden for movesets, so might as well put the character with one of the sickest moves in that game and make him even better.
 
Real talk tho, is Gotenks ever gonna be relevant in Super? Are they gonna give the Blue power and have smash someone? Like yo, come on throw me a bone here.

Edit: Hell, he's honestly the only character that I really want. Most of my favorites are already locked in. I'm not even bothering getting my hopes up for characters like Zarbon, who I really like. Nappa however I feel is worthy of hope!

Hey, I get it - he's not going all out, he's holding back. Personally, I just thought the whole scenario didn't make much sense - Krillin is raging against insurmountable odds, fine. But somehow SSB being used almost as often as base SSJ as a plot device makes it feel cheaper.

Again, I'm a fan of the series and I'll add that the Universe Tournament arc has done some good in keeping things reasonable - the Saiyans having to conserve their energy, only briefly using their forms when needed, tactics, etc. But I definitely think DB Super could have moved away from DBZ's mistakes, as a previous member mentioned.

If I was in charge of this game's roster, it would be really fucking different lol. I like a lot of "nobodies" in this franchise.
 
Grappler Nappa with mouth beam special and saibamen assists would be great.

(If you KO Yamcha with a saibaman, it should give you a special victory screen, but that might be too much to hope for)

Caulifla stole any hope Goten or Cabba ever had of being relevant right now.

It wouldn't even surprise me if Goku took her under his wing as his first apprentice (He mentions not wanting/knowing how to be a teacher when Dende asks him to train Uub in the future, yet he's quite confident with his teaching skills in EoZ)

Gotenks can only be relevant if they grow up
 
I like Hit, but I actually hope they will delay him for DLC. He's about to kick some ass in the tournament of power, there could be some new moves they could add in the game.

They ain't about to delay Goku for his new form, I don't got the patience for Hit's new stuff. I'm ready.

Just because we may not see new Hit moves until next weekend (though he already has a pretty full moveset) doesn't mean Bandai-Namco/ASW/etc. don't already know what rests in the future.
 
To me Nappa and Cap. Ginyu are more likely to be on the base roster than Black.

I still think beerus+golden freeza arc will be the last one as far as base roster go.

I think vegito SSB will be the first DLC mostly because i believe OG Vegito is in the base roster.

Going by the amount of Super content in the game already (Future Trunks arc stage, GodTube, SSJB Goku & Vegeta's moves, DBS Future Trunks emote, etc.), clearly ASW had knowledge up to the end of the Future Trunks arc at the very least. Anything beyond that is probably gonna be relegated to DLC.

As for Vegito in the base roster, I'm honestly not too sure about that. Gotenks is a pretty safe bet at this point (kill 2 birds with one stone concerning Goten & Kid Trunks), so we'd already have our fusion character. Plus we already have 2 variants of Goku & Vegeta in the game already. If we do get Vegito, they'd be better off waiting for Vegito Blue, who (again) ASW likely already knew about going into this game's development.

For the love of GOD don't let Adult Gohan and kid Buu the next to be revealed characters. It's bad enough we got another set of Goku/Vegeta. One of each is enough for now.
We have all the staples in the game so far, now is the time for the creative roster picks to emerge. The likes of Hit, Black, Beerus,

I'm fine with them being the next reveal to get them out of the way. Hell, I'd like to see Kid Buu already lol.
