Show us your RETRO Gaming Setup

Finally finished my retro setup. I've been in transit for the last three months with three different moves but will be in this space for the next year. Took a couple weekends but I finally got it to the point where I am happy with what I have on hand. Naturally, shooters come first then everything else follows.

TWO vertical displays now?! Super jealous as a shoot'em up game fan.

Lots of great setups in this thread, so I feel bad showing mine. Excuse the crappy pic, but I live in a shoddy small room I rent with poor lighting, and old-ass furniture to boot, so I can´t get a decent shot; need to move out. In the mean time, here goes my current retro setup, or rather my retro displays. Games and systems are just shoved in a cabinet and some boxes, space is really limited.

Fucking nice. What is that JVC tv you have? It looks so clean.

It is a JVC AV32432 32" CRT.

I found it by a dumpster while in Asia. It is a beast of a TV. Nice curved tube. Solid geometry and colors and excellent s-video and component inputs. It really has been my favorite classic game TV that I've ever owned. I have a bad history with Wegas years ago so refuse to even look at those...including the flat-screens which have geo problems as well as those parallel visible wires in the screen. Nothing, I mean nothing beats a big-ass curved screen. I have not hooked up RGB via a RGB-to-Component conveyor yet but I have a feeling it will also look amazing. S-Video looks phenomenal on it.

No need to apologize, another great setup! I have been meaning to take pics of my shoehorned setup to inspire others with limited size, space, etc (because I have a crt on a side table in front of my hdtv). Everyone has different goals in their setup so it's great to see their methodology and execution!

I just redid my whole setup. It has doors and every system is all connected at once. No swapping cables.

Now I only have doors on two of the four columns of the shelving unit, I may add two more in the inner-most columns so that it's fully enclosed.

This is the BESTA series from Ikea. And you can customize it however you want. You can get doors and/or drawers wherever you please or build it higher or wider, etc. Personally, I was going to replace this unit because I didn't think I could fit everything, but I did some re-jiggering and got it all to fit nicely. If I get one more system, however, I'm going to have a hard time finding a spot for it.

Anyway, before I re-jiggered everything, I was actually looking at the new EKET series of shelving from IKEA that just came out. If I could do it all over again (and I still might) that's what I'd do now. They also have the KALLAX series, but personally, I think the EKET is better just because it's so modular and customizable. And it has nicer colors too. BESTA, again the series in my pics above, is also fairly modern looking, but is a less "in your face" sort of look.

And yea, I know I need a floor rug. It would make the whole thing look way nicer. That's in the works too.

Posting some images of my mostly-retro setup (and some gaming art that I have up.)

I have a Besta unit too, though I ended up removing the back as the PS4 sounded like it was going to die in there and I needed to keep the doors closed while our cats are around.

Also, I like the idea of modular IKEA furniture but they discontinue or quietly revise their furniture so often that you more or less have to get most of what you'd want at around the same time. We ended up buying cabinet doors for two 2013 Billy bookcases last year and had to drill new holes, because IKEA had quietly changed the spacing. Quite irritating.

Just bought a home and although it's a little messy at the moment, this is the room and TV that I have dedicated to gaming. I just got the CRT, which the Genesis and SNES is hooked up to using HD Retrovision Component cables an the picture is much better than my old Sony CRT. The HDTV has a Framemeister, Ras Pi, SNES Classic, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360 and a PC connected to it. I have an an AV Famicom, Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast and a Jaguar all waiting to be hooked up as well.

22 console setup. All consoles 5th gen and below are going to the KV-36FV26 CRT. Everything else is going to the HDTV mounted above it.

EDIT: Huh. That's odd. Either I'm doing something wrong or it has to do with the "You may not post attachments" statement applied to me under Posting Rules =/
