It's not an awful date, it's just not really a surprise and it's not a whole lot different than saying "we still have a lot of dev time left sorry."

That date pretty much guarantees the game is going to be cross-gen, though, perhaps from the beginning.

It's like The Last of Us 2 there's always that slight possibility it could of come at the back end of this year. That would of brought the hype, even if it was just a 10% chance. Making a big deal for next year isn't that exciting, as you say the date that was the most likely.

Tbh Gamepass is the best thing to happen to gaming since remote play.

Amazing value and since I bought it, I haven't needed to buy a single game.
