I'm burning all of my EDGE magazines as we speak.
If he was only a gamer... not.
But he is first a journalist and he is paid for that job.
So you need to get pissed.
It is like a journalist doing a article not checking all the story facts.... it is unprofessional.
What kinda primadonnas have game reviewers become? People used to spend time through awful and shitty games, just to review them or even just to get through the story (like Drakengard). Now a game that's basically about delivering packages is enough to break a reviewer? Oh well, the struggles with the Cuphead tutorial should've been a big enough sign. YouTubers seem far more relevant than any of the video game websites for me. Was it so hard to finish the game? It can't possibly be a 40+ hours game, so does this mean it's more like the reviewer sucked enough to get stuck for a long time?
I love Edge Magazine, this is rather disappointing.
It makes about as much sense as trusting film critics who review a movie before watching all of it. Or book critics who review a book before reading the entire novel. Or music critics who review an album before hearing the whole thing. All of that sounds ludicrous right? And yet for years, this industry has trusted the reviews of video game critics who do not, on average, finish a game before reviewing it. Deadlines are the usually cited answer. Because publications are in a rush to get their reviews out before their competitors.
The score is irrelevant, it could be a 1. I don't care about DS, but single player games or single player campaigns should be played to the end before being reviewed, it's what reviewers are paid for, complaining that they are required to finishing a game is just admitting that they are fucking lazy.Your shouldn't be, by the sounds of it they probably would of given it a 5/10 lol.

You said he/she shouldnt be disappointed that Edge didn't score the game because it probably was a low score. I answered that isn't a justification for the lack of score, the value is irrelevant.I don't understand what you just posted has to do with my post.
I never said anything implying the opposite of what you said, so I don't know why your quoting me

Edit: That should be "releasing" in the title.![]()

People need to have common sense and realize that, no matter how well made it is, there is a score limit for a FedEx simulator.I think he would be more happy with no edge review then a bad one.
He would be upset if his masters work is further tainted![]()

If you are a profissional reviewer you should play good, ugly, and bad games... you are not a gamer that gamer that have the choice... you are being payed to do a job.No it's not the same at all, a game being too horrible and clunky to finish is understandable, I'm not going to judge him when I can't even finish watching a gameplay demo of DS for 10 minutes without passing out from boredom. How many people who reviewed Superman 64 finished it?
It was 6/10. They changed it to 8/10 after the game broke out and the backlash started. That's not the 7 out of 10 GTA III review that no wait sorry, that score was a printing error.
Seems pretty unprofessional.
If the game is supposed to be this cinematic thing with story being an important factor then how can you get away with a review without finishing the game?
The only games this could be understandable for would be multiplayer or games like tetris etc where there is basically no "end" to the game.
How could you possibly find yourself competently reviewing a single player, story driven, experience when you haven't finished the game?
I suppose the key pieces of information here are "how long is the game" and "when did they receive their review copy".
A lot of other outlets seem to have reviewed it just fine.
Strange trend of videogame journalists trying to make the coverage about them rather than about the games.
What do you mean by "deserves" as if the game is objectively bad? This is a silly statement that I see time and time again. I never thought to myself "yeah, this game deserves less" in terms of review scores unless it's blatantly pandering to SJW agendas.Lets see what other sites have the balls to give this 'game' the review it sounds like it deserves. With how rabid Kojima fanboys are, i doubt it.
They did review it.
Too shit to finish seems to be the verdict. That's enough for me.

BTW DS has a 84 Meta now... there are more scores with 9+ than 8-.
I'm sure a bad game may not reach these scores
This sounds so fucking wrong. Does that mean they would release the review without finishing the game if they had the opportunity?
Fucking gross.

Wut?Dude, did you see the Last Jedi reviews?
Take reviews with a pinch of salt. That way you can avoid watching Luke Skywalker squeeze green tit juice into a bottle, with growing feelings of confusion, anger, pain and betrayal boiling up inside you.
It's common, sure. Some games are not even supposed to ever be finished.People review games without finishing them? Is this a common thing and I'm just super naive about it?
Hahahah VIDEO GAME JOURNALISTS hahhahaha who ever came up with such thing should get shot. Corporate little cunts.
On topic ......ok lets say they didnt finish it and maybe or for sure did t like it. Thats ok and i feel it was the right decission from them not to write a review cuz maybe they felt they were not qualified enough to write about it.
So, if the average goes down, it's because other sites "have the balls to speak the truth", if it doesn't it's because they are cowards.Lets see what other sites have the balls to give this 'game' the review it sounds like it deserves. With how rabid Kojima fanboys are, i doubt it.

too afraid to call out Kojima for the hack that he really is.
