Need baby name advice

UPDATE

Unfortunately, my wife and I lost the baby. It was a girl. I've always wanted a daughter (three sons) and the two times we were about to have a girl, something went wrong and the baby died.

Anyway, my wife insisted we name her. So, her name is/was Lara.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We are talking about trying again. I'm getting up there and am a lit more hesitant than her, but we will see. Perhaps in several months I'll be back asking for more suggestions.

Original Post

My wife and I just found out we will he having our fourth child and we are having difficulties thinking of names.

Before you tell me this is the wrong forum, let me tell you three boys names.

Our oldest (11) was given the same name as my Final Fantasy XI character - Latch.

Our middle child (8) is Locke (middle name Cole).

The youngest (3) is Link.

We never meant it to become a theme, but we have three boys, all of which start with L, are one syllable, video came character names, and strangely parts of a door.

I don't think there is any possible names that would fit all those requirements to keep the pattern, so many just as close as possible.

My wife suggested the name Lara for a girl. That could work, I guess.

When we found out the news, we were on a resort vacation in the Dominican Republic and each night were playing a bit of Luigi's Mansion on Switch. Long story short, my wife did not like my suggestion for a boy name.

Boy: Leif (also the protagonist of a Fire Emblem game)
Girl: Liv

Those are Norwegian names if that's not a problem.

I never played that game, but I'm actually playing Fire Emblem Three Houses now (literally right now).

That's pretty crazy that it fits all the parameters, one syllable L video game character name that's also a part of a door (well door "leaf" at least).

Not a part of a door, but

Lee (Starts with L, one syllable, main character from The Walking Dead game)

Also has the added benefit of the kid not being asked his entire life "oh that's an interesting name, what's it from?"

Not bad. And judging by all my kids' friends' names, everyone these days has "interesting" names.

Congradulations! May the child and your family be happy and healthy as you welcome in a new member to it.

I don't really have any ideas, but since it has to start with L and needs to be from a game what about Leon (1st name) Kennedy (middle name)?

God bless you!

wtf i wanna have a kid and name him Link now

How about Killian, for Killian Samuels, the protagonist of our favorite game. Prey 2.
Also I'm all over the Luke/Leia idea. Especially Leia.

If you get a girl, you could name her Zelda. And then every day you can ask "how was school, princess?"

I dont have a suggestion but made me think of when I was nursing school and doing peds clinicals I went in during a c section and when they were filling out paperwork and such after their last name was king and they gave the baby the first name of nosmo.

On second thought I change my mind. Never name your child Larry.

Maybe for girls: Lulu or Lenne from X-2. Or Tifa from 7.

Leif is actually pronounced a bit differently originally. (just listen in google translate).

Girl: Lucrecia (FFVII)
Boy: Leon (from many games, Leon Silverburg from Suikoden, Leon Kennedy from RE)

Leon or Lara depending on the gender.

Both are pretty famous for video games.

Luca/Lucca is also good for either gender.

Don't name her after a fucking video game character unless it is a normal sounding name for your child's sake.

How about Leo? It's even unisex, so you could use it for both boy and girl.

My own son was born a little over a year ago, on October 26 2018 - The day Red Dead Redemption 2 was released. His name obviously ended up being Arthur. So yeah, gg Rockstar Games, you basically named at least one human being without even being aware of it ;-)

There's a very good chance this is how we will go.

My wife shot down Kennedy as a middle name. She says that's a girl's name.

Other than those, the best I can think of that fits all of your thematic criteria is Light.

Starts with L, is part of a car door, is one syllable, and has been a video game character thanks to Death Note videogames.

Edit: Didn't see the theme had 4 criteria so I added it in. But Light can also work for boys and girls.
