The first trailer was just released:

Looks great. I hope this will be better than Spectre. Casino Royale and Skyfall are the best modern Bond movies.

Looks like a very safe trailer to get as many people as people excited about the new Bond flick. Let's see how the final trailer and the movie itself will look like. ;)

Not gonna lie, the trailer was pretty good. Action, visuals all look good, I hope the script is better than Spectre.

Didn't know Ana was in the movie, fk yeah.

Looks awesome. Did they really back pedal on the "new 007" thing and make her 004 or whatever, is the trailer being deceptive, or was that whole mess just a PR stunt from the get go? I really need to rewatch spectre to remind myself who the blonde is, I've completely forgotten her!

Watched a bunch of older bonds over the holiday and I really miss all the scuba diving scenes and the idea that Bond LIKES his job. Craig is just too damn dour.

But "Man with the Golden Gun", yikes. Totally triggering on so many levels. Bond beats a woman, walks in on her in the shower, sexually harasses his female colleague, and there are so many asian (and american) stereotypes it isnt funny. Well, maybe a little funny :p. And it has a climate change message so I guess it is all ok!!

I'll be seeing it day one, but honestly after seeing MI: Fallout finally a couple weeks ago I gotta say I don't think anything they do can top it. I know it's two different franchises but still

That was a good trailer, but...

Spectre had pretty good trailers too. And I consider that to be the Daniel Craig's worst outing as Bond and probably one of the worst in the franchise.

Black female 00 wasn't all that prominent at least. Still worried they'll woke it up in the full version. Don't trust that Phoebe Waller Bridge is one of the screenwriters. But still, nice to see Lea Seydoux back, she is so smoking hot.

The Bond franchise has been losing in recent years to Mission Impossible though. They really to make things exciting again.

Not convinced that this series needs relationship melodrama, but at least Madeline Swann (Lea Seydoux) isn't being lazily bumped off in the first act. Otherwise, the motorbike jump is insane, the cinematography looks great, Ana de Armas is hubba-hubba in that dress, and the 'name?' joke and final shot are fun. Craig's stiff line delivery continues to be irksome - he's been half-arsing his performances since Quantum and the snippets here seem of a piece with his previous 'efforts'. Certainly promising overall, though.

Craig trailers are usually good regardless of the quality of the actual film so I'll still wait for reviews. That said, Ana is looking amazing.

Still not feeling Malek as the villain though.

The villains in Craig's films have been pretty hit or miss to be honest. Mad Mikkelsen was great in Casino Royale, Matthew Almaruic was awful in Quantum of Solace, Javier Bardem looked like he was having fun in Skyfall, while Christoph Waltz was wasted in Specrtre.

Hope Rami pulls it off though. But even a great actor can't save an awful script.

Plot seems related to the previous one which was so bad I forgot everything about it like half an hour after watching it.

But at least the action looks nice

Not much plot to remember though. Blofeld is Bonds brother, Bond gets a new girlfriend and quits his job to live with her. The end.

I guess. But I would have liked it better if it was just a new story with new characters. It being so related to Spectre just makes it less interesting.

I like the interconnectivity of the Craig movies. Gives it some life. Hated how each previous bond movie never seemed to call back to any of the others. It was like Bond never learned from his mistakes.

Lashanna Lynch looks great!

Plenty of the old bond films had callbacks to previous ones.

Besides the worst theme song of any Bond movie ever, the worst thing about Spectre was how they pretended he wasn't Blofeld, but the it's like "hey look, a cat! He IS Blofeld".

The worst part is the movie tried to make it this big momentous reveal but as far as the internal logic of the film goes it wasn't. It's only a big deal for the audience who grew up with the original films.

High highs, but the "stay in your lane" garbage has me eye-rolling.
If they're content to put this in the trailer then the lows will a rather sorry state of affairs.

Danial Craig is getting into old-age Roger Moore territory. Action looks cool. Villain looks a bit generic. this is a well cut trailer too.

TBF Craig is in considerably better shape than Moore and still several years younger than his oldest outing.

2020's 50 is 1980's 40.
It was inevitable with stars like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp etc maintaining their popularity and crazy advancements in diet/exercise regimens that these big actors will remain relevant and in action rolls longer and still look good doing it

Not going to disagree with you on some of those topics. Craig could be adrenochroming like crazy. I'm sure Craig is in better shape than Moore was. But he still gives me Moore-era vibes in this movie. Not really saying that as a bad thing,

I liked the machine guns in the car lights. Is this the first Craig film to do something over the top like that?

Still not feeling Malek as the villain though.

Agreed. I like him as an actor, but not for this. They needed someone older imho.

Honestly not a fan. Spectre was incredibly badly written and the retconning to imply that Blofeld was the hidden mastermind behind everything in the previous films just to fuck with Bond was some risible shit that was straight out of an Austin Powers Movie. I'm not against connectivity in a franchise, but there were better ways to do that versus the route they chose to go down.

007 is in a good position with less pressure on Craig after 3+ Bond movies top 10 movie series for me.

This is Craig's last one.

But he's been Bond longer than anyone.

Connery 62-71
Moore 73-85
Brosnan 95-02
Criag 06-00

Only five movies but he beat out Moore on number of years in the role.

Looks good, but so did the trailers for QoS and Spectre. We'll see.

The Lashana Lynch thing as 007 never bothered me. It's not like their gender-swapping James Bond. She's a completely new character who temporarily takes over the agent code. I doubt the studio had any plans for her to actually continue being 007 after the events of this film.

Minor nit-pick: The franchise needs to fuck off from Italy for a while. It's been a prominent setting in 4 of the 5 Craig movies.

Broccoli said Bond will never be a woman. So people are freaking out over nothing.
