Well...now what does Disney + offer us...

Mandalorian is done for about a year...and Disney Plus has literally nothing to offer anyone in the way of NEW original content. I own all the star wars on discs and all the marvel movies, so I am not going to sit and stream those. It blows my mind how unprepared they are with original content. In comparison apple tv + has 5 original shows I am watching and really enjoying. For all mankind, see, morning show, servant, and truth be told.

What is the next original show they even have ready to go?

Thirty years of The Simpsons and most of Disney's backlog are more than worth the $5.99 a month.
Thats not NEW original content. I am burnt out on the simpsons from growing up with it. I am not saying the price isnt worth it for the backlog, I am saying how can you not offer us new stuff.

I have Disney+, but I didn't get it for the new content. I got it for some old shows and movies I haven't seen in years. I don't know if I'm keeping it though. But I do like it more than Netflix, which I don't even really use anymore.

I'm not disagreeing, but let's be fair, about 20 out of those 30 years of the Simpsons are worthless.

I am surprised they didn't have another original show ready to go the month after The Mandalorian ended though. It's still being rolled out to new countries, so a steady stream of content to keep the hype up seems like an obviously good idea, but nope.

I don't think Disney has the money to pay for it.

It's $6 a month. If you're against paying it, cancel. They positioned the price so low as they know their content, while desirable, isn't new.

Disney never advertised Disney + about new content, it was about it's existing library. If you're only in it for the new content then I'm not sure you knew what you were signing up for.

Thank you!

I go yearly subs for these kinds of things (Disney+, Marvel Unlimited, DC Universe, Origin Premier, etc) so the monthly breakdown is dirt cheap and well worth it for me in every case.

It certainly doesn't offer me anything, not even Mandalorian since here in germany we have to wait till march for it to even launch, lmao.

Disney Imagineers is a great docuserie so far. I am only 3 episodes in, though. Will see what else I am giving a try now that the Mandalorian is over with its first season.

It's a great series and they were actually honest about the original DCA. They even included John Hench's quote, "I liked it better when it was a parking lot." That's part of official Disney canon now.

Having all the Disney movies and shows super easily accessible is worth the price (and the fact that I did the 3 year nonsense).

Disney+ is a godsend if you have kids too.

I feel you op.

In the UK we have had it for 4 Years under a different name without the new Star Wars & Marvel live action Thing, and pre fox stuff too obviously & even the Animated content like Star Wars Rebels etc was always a season or two behind because there was a television deal here in the UK on those.

Yet it is still going in the UK just fine, I assume kids just love repeats at this point I think my nephew has seen cars 1&2 about 30 times or more , my niece frozen & moana probably the same.

I took it out for a month, watched a few things & cancelled, whereas my sister has kept it going for at least 3yrs without cancelling at 4.99 per month alongside her Netflix.

It will be rebranded as Disney plus in March 2020 & only then the UK will see Mandalorian for the first time (legally) I have already seen it though, so I can't see me subbing apart from two or three times a year, maybe every quarter for one month, watch it all & cancel.

The World according to Jeff Goldblum is fantastic!

It does seem to lack original content but having the library on demand is with 6 bucks a month for me with all the kids I have.

Sucks that us in the UK have to wait till March! You Americans should stop bitching about it. Yeah The Mandorlin has finished for you, but at least you don't have to wait till MARCH to even have a chance to bloody watch the thing.

Every Friday I look forward to mandalorian (obviously over), world according to Jeff goldblum, and forky asks a question.

I know it's not much but for $6 and being able to watch those and a ton of thier Old movies seems worth it right now.

Not trying to sound like a dick honestly, but it's a new service. Of course there isnt going to be much original content, you should have know that from the get go. Hell it only launched what a month ago or two?

It's a brand new service. Their only priority is to stock it with existing content, then get it going. New content will based on overall performance and interests of customers. We all knew in advance what was debuting on there so it isnt like a surprise.

Well, I am waiting for the new season of Clone Wars in spring. I did the Hulu/ESPN packaging deal, and started watching Futurama for the first time... and it's pretty funny! LOL.

But I do agree - they need more original contents and updates. Also, maybe something more "R rated" contents... but I guess since it's "Disney", it can't happen. :(

Yeah, I feel you OP. Even the mandalorian was wearing out its welcome for me. Beyond that I realize that I'm not super interested in rewatching the Disney movies I watched so many times as a kid. I'm definitely too old for those tween sitcoms. My kids were into it for a couple of weeks but cooled off already. Thinking I may cancel soon.

You are not sounding like a dick, we are having a discussion :). But apple launched only a few weeks early and they have so much new content. I just dont feel like Disney has a back catalogue of REWATCHABLE content that people want right now. (Friends, Office, Parks and Rec)

Imagineers and some of the other original content is good. I'm looking forward to watching Togo whenever I have time as it has good reviews on RT (95%). This year will have Clone Wars Season 7 (final season) in about 45 days then we will have Monsters at Work from Pixar and then Falcon and the Winter Soldier, capping off the year with Baby Yoda Season 2.

However the real value of it will come sometime next year. About 4 Marvel Live Action TV shows + What If animated show, probably 2-3 Live Action Star Wars shows plus whatever else Pixar, Fox, Disney divisions come up with.

Muppet Babies Show and Tell...That is the wrong Muppet Babies. I really want to see the Muppet Babies from the 80s and 90s instead of the new CG Muppet Babies.

I'm still binge watching the cartoons I loved as a kid... rescue rangers... gargoyles... the classic disney films etc.

I do agree that once I've run through that stuff they don't have much for me.

The Disney channel stuff like highschool musical makes me want to vomit.

I really hope they ramp up quality original content and bring over the fox content.

If Malcom in the Middle was on D+ I would just play that continuously for the rest of my life.

It's not too bad in Australia. They added the X-Men movies last month and just today added the Fantastic Four and Ice Age movies. Along with a bunch of old cartoons.

I lost interest in Star Wars a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away so won't bother with the Mandolin.

The live actions of Aladdin and maybe Lion King drop this month so will check those out too.

I haven't found a real reason to continue a subscription, I just did the 7 day trial to watch The Mandalorian and canceled. Not much use with the old programing without children.

I do find it an interesting situation. Disney has a reputation for quality and for a certain degree of restraint in what they can do. Unlike Netflix that can't just a bunch of garbage against the wall and see what sticks which will limit their output. I do wonder if this will limit their ability to keep subscribers. I feel like they should have bundled it with another service called something else (Say Fox direct) where they could just take the Netflix approach and not taint the Disney brand.
