Peircings for women is great, it's pretty. But that's where it ends.

Fuckin sleeves. Butterflies. My life's story. Mememememe. Ear lobes stretched open. A million peircings. This is who I am, this is my expression to the world and my voice must be heard.

I don't mind if it fits somebody's aesthetic but when you just get a bunch of them all over your arms and look like some goofy fuckin nerd or some basic white bitch you're a joke. No offense.

No tattoos on me, never been my thing. As close as I get is following a page called SuckyTattoos on Instagram, so I don't imagine my views will change anytime soon.
 
Yeah I have a tattoo. It's based on a picture my fiancée drew. I got it after she died in December '18 as a tribute to her memory.

It's on my shoulder so even if I'm wearing a tee-shirt it's not visible. It's certainly not a 'look at me' statement, just purely personal.

Generally I think if people want to go crazy with tattoos, it's their body so whatever. Not sure how they'll feel when they're in their 70s, covered in wrinkly doodles.

The problem I have with 'their body their rules' is that a popular nifty thing like that spreads like wildfire

Like if it starts becoming popular to get your tongue split like a lizard and then all of a sudden all my relatives are doing it, I'd be like what the FUCK

True. Personally I'm not a fan of full sleeve/back tattoos. It's a trend that I'm sure a lot of people will regret. Like the people who get face tattoos then complain that nobody will hire them.

Had a Japanese friend with a full body suit done the old fashioned way, no electric tools. Ultimately cost him tens of thousands of dollars.

Can't stand them on chicks. A woman's skin is one of her most beautiful aspects, don't need graffiti breaking the flow.

Nope, and never felt the urge. When we were teens my cousin got one extolling his love for his then-fiancee one drunken night, and about 3 weeks later she left him. That always stuck in my mind. I'm not against them though and I think some people can pull them off quite well (like my Waifu Riae for instance): -



But 95% of the time they look like complete dogshit

A couple of dudes and a girl I work with have them and they're absolute messes of randomness that are going to age like wine.

Nope. Never will. I was around when they were considered trashy by anyone who wasn't trashy or a criminal. They are a good barometer for weeding out people who make poor choices.

^ No lies detected. It seems to be an absolute requirement if you work in a UK Coffee shop that you've tattooed yourself to the nines and have either nose rings or earplugs (which have never looked good). It's a cliche at this juncture.

It was cool a few years ago, but now it seems like everyone has it.
Every so called instagram star has it, some shitty words tattooed that is supposed to have a deep meaning. Uh, gimme a break.
And these football players. I hate them the most. They're guilty of popularizing tattoos to the mainstream masses. Every jock nowadays has a tattoo. And these are the kinds of people that were frowning upon tattoos a few years back.
 
I cannot believe this thread. I have never seen one before where so many people hate tattoos. I usually get destroyed by the mob rule whenever I weigh in on that. Because people with tattoos believe it is the greatest possible thing they could have ever done.

At least the chicks with tattoos are doing you a favor by proudly displaying their mental problems without having to take a few minutes to probe. I can't count how many girls I know were very attractive, and then they gain weight and add either a big leg tattoo, side tattoo, or sleeve. Somehow, they think this is something cool. The weight gain + tattoo combo is the most unattractive thing there is. I also love when people say they "love girls with tattoos" and then display a picture of a smoking hot girl with ink. Like she wasn't hot already.

But I somewhat get it for guys. No, I still think your tattoos are stupid as hell. On the other hand, the girls don't. Get a sleeve of tattoos and muscular arms, and you will have access to an endless supply of poon. Obviously they're shallow whores, but hot ones too.
 
I have quite a few including a full sleeve. I'm also pretty socially awkward and hate attention. I usually wear hoodies or long sleeve shirts so I won't get asked about them. I have zero social media and got them before it started being the thing to do. Since it has exploded I've completely stopped. It's something I've liked since I was a little kid and have always been enamored with them. For me, it's a shame to see what the whole thing has become. I guess it sorta similar to ESports where people who had zero interest in video games are now abusing that to due to the popularity.

It is what it is. Either you love them or you hate them and I respect the people that don't see the point. I can see why people would think it's stupid or trashy but I've always been a fan of the art.
 
i have thought about it but i could never commit to something. ye that would look cool but do I really want that basically forever. I have nothing against tats some are glorious hell my cousin is a tattoo artist.
 
I got a big one on my back... don't regrat it yet... the trick is to not get it in a spot that is visible normally without taking off your clothes and making sure your art is timeless and meaningful enough (ie, no lover's name). I am a pretty clean looking dude aside from this.

Nothing is more intimidating than tattoos, that hot ink, I believe I have enough tattoos for now should I decide to get another I think chest, and back tattoos are amazing.

Got a few when I was an edgy little shit-stain, nothing that can't be covered up by a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of pants. Used to have 17 piercings above the neck, now I just have 2 rings in each ear and a PA.
 
I've got six of them. I'd have more if I could afford it. A surprising amount of hate here for them. They seem super common amongst gamers and people in general now. I love tatted up girls. Give me that pale skin goth tattooed up girl any day of the week.
 
When I was 18 I got my gf and sons name tattooed onto my arm luckily enough that GF became my wife but the tattoo has aged horribly and is very faint now. Couldn't imagine having being stuck with an ex's name on your body forever.

I like tattoos on women but I'm very aware they won't look good when they get older. My friend had to get a sleeve tattoo done to cover up some old tattoos that had gone to shit but if you look carefully you can still see them. It's a shame because she is good looking but as she gets older they just don't look good.

Another thing some people don't take into account when getting a tattoo is the quality of the tattooist and if they fuck it up it's there forever.

I also hate and I mean hate those stupid holes that people put in there ears and cheeks. Getting a little piercing for earrings is fine but those massive things are fucking ridiculous and they'll regret it years done the road.
