GAF's Nintendo Discussion, News, and Speculation |OT|

I'm more of a single player and don't really enjoy playing directly against players online most of the time , I know there is a story mode ( salmon run? ) but with the focus being mainly multiplayer not my thing. I do realize I'm probably in the minority but it is what it is.
Same, no doubt that Splatoon is great game but if you are not in to MP game there is no much this game can offer. But that not really game's fault, I'm just not the target audience for this type of game.

It's cute some of you want more Splatoon news. The wait must be hard, yeah? Feels a bit shit waiting so long, I bet. Dunno how you all do it, it's gotta be re.... oh fucks sake JUST GIVE ME METROID AREADY ARGGHGGGGGHHHH!!

I played through Splatoon 2 as a single-player game only. It is pretty fun, and I adore the series' style, but it's rather short, so I'd rather see a focussed single-player entry instead.

I just finished the first game in Ace Attorney Trilogy and its one of those games that made me question myself why didn't I get in to the series sooner.

Also almost done with FE3H's Cindered Shadows DLC and I playing in hard difficulty and I have to say, some these maps are tough, some times more than maddening mode in base game. I'm guessing it mostly because you are much more limited, you need survive from what you have.

Dragging you over from the other thread. Would you say this episode is worth the DLC price? I loved my time with three houses but I did not buy the season pass. It was my first fire emblem game.

From story perspective it's not all that important but from gameplay perspective ABSOLUTELY!!

Booted up Splatoon 2 while feeling disgusted looking at Jooxed Jooxed playing Fortnite :messenger_angry:

I FORGOT THE CONTROLS!
Are you a gyro motion control guy or use the joycons/pro controller ?
On a side note
Ive always wondered what time it is for you where you are it's almost 6PM here and wondered what the difference is.

Never been a Tetris fan. Will I still enjoy it?
I only ever had a casual interest in Tetris and I play Tetris 99 everyday.

I think if you are competitive, you'll like it. It takes quite a bit of time to not feel overwhelmed, though. Especially if you are playing against the Japanese. They are on another level.

I have only ever gotten to 13th place once. Never cracked the top 10. Great game though

Double dipped on The Witcher 3. I got it on sale for half the price, physical edition, so I decided to bite. Despite 200 hours on PS4 and the platinum trophy, I want to own it on Switch so I can always bring it with me. And I haven't played Blood and Wine so it's a reason for me to jump back into the action.

The new update also looks awesome and is one reason I decided to buy it now instead of later as I planned. And I got lucky with the sale, only one copy left in the store. Don't know when I'll be able to play it though, got Starlink to finish and then Metro Redux, and Bloodstained and the list goes on. Been buying way to many games in the last couple of months.

yeah the new update is night and day, I was really impressed.

I can't believe we went all of February without a Direct, I thought no Direct until the 2 week of this month was the worst case scenario but now we're entering Nintendoomed territory.

OutrageousFacts, where ever you are I'm sorry I laughed at you.

I feel like we were all happier before Outrageous-sama got nabbed by the man.

No, If i had to here about Monolith Soft or which Xenoblade game was the best one more time and how everyone was wrong but him I might had had a meltdown.

Nintendo is just giving Animal Crossing room to breathe. If I would guess probably the first or second week of March. It doesn't really make sense to overshadow it with anything at this point. This week is also PAX so it would be odd to have a Direct this week.

Come on now. Who wasn't excited to hear more about Monolith Soft's new IP?

In all fairness it does seem a bit weird now that we haven't had a "proper" Direct.

I wonder what exactly is going on behind the scenes?
Would the coronavirus situation affect things like production of physical copies of games?
I assume one or two development delays could throw things right out also.

As far as I can tell, right now, we only have seen Animal Crossing and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon as confirmed 2020 games from Nintendo?

It seems so unusual.

Oh no im super excited for the new IP but it was brought up in every thread, and when people speculated what it was going to be about they were told NO ITS GOING TO BE THIS WAY OR NO I WANT IT TO BE THIS WAY.

Correct, There is also one more game releasing before June that has yet to be unveiled coming from Nintendo (according to the folks to leaked last years Nintendo lineup) which is why I think we are due for a direct before the first half of march.

Same. I quite like Monolith Soft stuff actually but this dude was too much.

I feel like it's always the way with Nintendo and you know if you buy one of their consoles this is what you are in for. Not that many games releasing infrequently.

Gives my wallet a break, I suppose. Not very interested in Animal Crossing so it's just all a bit "meh" right now.

Not exactly drowning in games on my PS4 either right now to be fair.

We wait and see, I guess.

Side note after stepping into the XSX and PS5 thread for a moment I am happy our Nintendo thread is so calm and peaceful. Those guys are going at each other like animals lol.

Nintendo fans are usually total chill bros with zen-like patience molded by years and years of hearing about how shit BOTW's weapon durability system is.

DunDunDunpachi DunDunDunpachi Man..

Finally took out that Leviathon fight. as a side quest.. Damn I love this game thanks for the pointers. I feel like there is a lot of hidden stuff sprinkled throughout the world too.

Finished all the chapter 3's they really ramped up. really well I think the only one I could do without was Tressa.

Do you think I should find the secret classes before I start on my chapter 4's and finish the game with those? Then proceed to the hidden dungeon? The map areas for my chapter 4's are still hidden but I still feel like there are places that will be uncovered even after I visit them.

I tried one dungeon of the hidden classes and I got wrecked by just a standard monster before the boss, so I will have to grind out some levels first.

Runelord and/or Starseer are really powerful classes and make Ch 4 stuff easier. But in all fairness, the base classes are all still powerful even to the end of the game.

If you want a broken combo, try Tressa + Runelord, which allows you to cast the Sidestep ability on the whole party. To break things further, you can use a Dancer and/or Cleric to give her more BP or cast Alfric's Auspices to make her double-cast. at the beginning of battle.

Don't worry guys, we'll get a new general direct soon.

Sushi Strikers 2: Strike Again plz. Oh and another Theatrhythm (a port of FF or DQ would be fine, too).

In other words just shovel more money at indieszero and let them work their magic.

Was Sushi Strikers good? I Never had much interest in it.
Loving it, but I am a sucker for good puzzle games.

It's like PACMAN Champion Edition DX but for Konami's Frogger. Same basic platform-hopping gameplay on a heavy dose of steroids mixed with lite RPG customization. While that might seem like a bizarre comparison if you held the visuals side by side, the gameplay feels very much like it.

Silly story, great music, great art, snappy gameplay, simple mechanics that can be mastered. Checks all my boxes.

Anyone picking up Rune Factory 4S?

Unfortunately this is coming out right before Metro Redux and Animal Crossing and I just purchased Darksiders Genesis which I still haven't even looked at. But I know some people were hyped when this was announced?

What joy cons do ya'll use? I use my switch lite handheld but I have the Splatoon color joycons attached to my switch. I have to admit I wasn't impressed when they were announced but I am liking these more.

Yeah although it's still in the farming sims niche zone, and it's a 3ds port.
