I'll be happy if PS5 is close to XsX. I'm going in expecting 11-11.5tf

Id they pull off even higher somehow, great, if they don't, oh well. If the 9tf rumor ends up being true I'll be disappointed but I'll get over it eventually

Sony's silence lasted long enough though, I think tomorrow is a great time to finally counter punch

Large suppliers sell to WM direct. No importer or distributors unless it's odd product in weird wholesale cases, which a wholesaler will handle for them.

Costco is all direct. You ship products direct to each store.

As I said the biggest customers don't always get the best price. Comes down to negotiation.

But please keep telling us your expert business knowledge. lol

If Cerny tells the tf count, make sure to wait for context.

He might try to pull another FP16 thing where PS4 Pro is more powerful than X because it's 8.4tf at FP16, and X is 6tf at FP32.

You're basing your "knowledge" from what Google or tales from your ass?
What's the negotiation? X amount of chips and it goes back and forth until both sides are in agreement about the price per unit.
Part of that negotiation is the order size, one of the key aspects is to move product from A to B asap, if customer A's order is larger a supplier would be more than willing to sell cheaper to them.
Not hard to understand, then again we've been on about the same thing since the beginning but different angle and while you act like a complete idiot this is my field of work - sales.

I think sony are going for the "high end" approach, while i dont think it makes the most sense business wise, there thinking is that they want to capitalise on there "best in class" first party offerings,I still dont think it makes much sense though when the difference will only be 100-300p res difference.

He gave very specific context for that statement when he made it and never suggested the Pro was more powerful than the X but go off I guess.

No doubt MS' SeX info yesterday was a planned out promotion. Tons of videos, some articles, coordinated with DF who also did articles and videos all the same time.

If the PS5 video is Cerny doing a sketchy job talking about PS5 like Sony and Cerny just winging it as he goes, then no doubt it's a reaction bit to SeX. Giving gamers only one day notice too.

But if it's a nicely editing and professional video with Sony sites coordinating PS5 info, then it might be just luck it's coming after SeX. They were planning to release GDC info, but by fluke MS did it the day before.

for me it all depends on backwards compatibility

last year i bought a PS4 Pro. i'm building a nice library and would love to be able to play all my games on an upgraded machine.

if BC is really really, i will totally buy a PS5 at launch and give my old console to my brother.
 
I think the specs will be for ps5

Gpu: 52cus clocked at 1900-50mhz resulting in 12.6 -12.9 tflops

CPU: 8 core zen2 3.6ghz smt, 3.8ghz without smt

Ram: 16gb gddr6 14gb available for games 2gb for the OS plus 1gb ddr4 for OS + SECURITY.

SSD: 3GB/s RAW, 6GB/s Compressed

I dont think the more exotic things will happen, the xsx while very powerful is still bound by console limiting factors, sony is also not immune to these factors hence the very similar specs, and large differences would be because of a radically different design approach or higher cost.
I also think theres a chance MS may increase clocks if the difference is this small, but I think the likly hood is low given how little effect it will have on performance.
