Made it halfway through to him describing pink hot pants wearing 'Safespace' as a 'burly jock' and had to turn it off. Fuck me but comics have gone downhill.

I just checked because I too found it too retarded and lacking in self awareness to be real, but nope, this is a real comic being sold by Marvel.
The only way I can see this being anything other than torture to read would be if Internet Gas is like an actual teenager online and spends the entire time being an insufferablely edgy meme lord that keeps dropping red pills and insults on the rest of the clowns.

I'm legitimately more appalled by how amateur hour the artwork is, even more than the wokescold theme of the book. I pray whoever did these drawings isn't doing the interiors for the actual book. Awful. It looks like they've practiced drawing people from behind once before this, if that. The colors are horrible too.
For this art to even be associated with the roll-out for a new Marvel series is ridiculous. Whether the book ends up looking better or not.

stories are great because we can identify with all kinds of people. i can read Spider-Man and identify with his awkwardness. i can read Superman and identify with his idealism. i can read Batman and identify with his need for justice. i don't look or live like either of these people. that is fine.
