They say in Wuhan alone they suspect 40.000 deaths. Nice going China. This is the 3rd virus you released on the world. Fuck off.

Rent payments could drop even more drastically in May, Mr. Strasburg said, when tenants who lost jobs in March may have even less money to pay that month's rent.

The largest annual bill for most property owners, real estate taxes, is due July 1. And property taxes make up about 30 percent of New York City's revenue, which helps pay for basic city services.

Perversely, we might see a LOWER death rate in years to come as lots of older/sicker folk are dying now.

Fuck that, Im going to swing for the fences when all this is over: Hookers, drugs, skydiving with hookers on drugs. Might as well live it up before piece of fucking shit CCP douche nozzles release another plague on the earth.

Man... I'm really getting sick of people who just try to twist other people's words because they don't like them.

"It's possible kids could have went back to school in two weeks to four weeks, but they just cancelled the rest of the schools."

Twitter dumbfuck translates this to say, "HE WANTS SCHOOLS TO REOPEN IN 2 WEEKS!!!!"

Why can't these people process language correctly? His message is that he thinks cancelling the rest of the school year is premature when there are still over two months remaining in the school year and we do not know for sure how this is going to progress.
I don't think you watched the whole video. Context is important. Nunes said and I quote.

"I will tell you this, If we don't start to get people to work in the next week or two, I don't believe that we can wait until the end of April. I don't know any economy that has survived where you unplug the entire economy and expect things to go back to normal. The more tests that are out there. The more people that are getting tested. Let's learn about the treatments. Let's figure out a way to get back to work."

Arguing that people should go back to work in 1 to 2 weeks is the kind of dumbfuckery thinking that put us in this situation. This many people didn't have to die had we taken this seriously from the beginning. Thank god the president is no longer listening to this stupidity.

I did watch the whole video. Twice in fact.

He is not arguing that people *should* go back to work in 1 to 2 weeks unconditionally. He's saying we need to figure out a way to get people back to work, because if we don't, bad things are going to start to happen.

I don't see how he is wrong. He's not saying that everyone should just reopen for business without having done anything or making accommodations that fit the situation, just that we need to figure out a way to make it happen or else we're in for some trouble.

Do you think people aren't going to start getting desperate when they run out of money to pay for food and essentials?

I also do not believe that the WHO wanted or wants to cover up anything. Sometimes things are just the way they are.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO's director general, is no stranger to covering up epidemics.

And while the US is the largest financial contributor to WHO as an organization, the Chinese pushed hard behind the scenes to get Tedros the director general position.

Now think about that when you go back and look at the countless press clips of Tedros praising China's response to the crisis and how "the Chinese people absolutely feel safe."

You are arguing with an AEN pusher.

I'm heading off to work now. Unfortunately I have the shakes again. They're really bad this time. I'm better when I'm at work, but the thought of bringing the virus back home to my now very fragile mom has paralyzed me.

Most of the ladies where I work - 90% of them are from the Philippines - seem completely stable, despite the working conditions, which are straight out of a sci-fi movie. I have total respect for them.

I don't know what else to say. I feel like I'm failing terribly. I'm not the strong person I've always wanted to be. My fear of loss is not a good thing - and I understand that.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for posting. I don't know why.... shared experience, I guess... but this thread continues to give me partial comfort.

Tell your family members you love them. And try to be nice to each other. :)

Try to live in the moment man. Don't think of things in the past or what could happen in the future. Just live in the moment. Take it one day at a time. It's all we can do right now.

what kind of work are you doing?

SDCC still hoping they can do it in July.. I am very very very skeptical it'll happen.

You know what surprises me? I never saw anything come out of the PAX East thing. It apparently came and went without anyone getting COVID-19 or spreading it. It was right before things got bad, but I thought for sure it'd end up with an outbreak.

just keep pushing, forward is the only way outta hell

First victims that I know have popped up.

A distant cousin of mine passed away. We weren't close. Late 50s and otherwise was healthy. His wife now has it and is in critical condition. Not allowed to have any family around her. They didn't tell her husband died for obvious reasons, so if she recovers that's going to be one hell of a shock.

The crazy part is they lived in rural Texas area and were self quarantining for two weeks now. They're trying to trace the origins but so far it doesn't make much sense how they got it.

Sorry to hear, that's awful. Maybe they came into contact with a neighbor or a delivery person? If they had no contact with anyone, it would be very hard for them to get it.

So Australia beat the Corona virus in the ass or what?

Down to 100 case per day with drops the last few days. Few deaths as well.

My Country seems to be doing well in recoveries. 1400 recoveries on 9500 cases. 11th overall on the scoreboard. the only country above us with less cases is SK and Belgium being a few thousand cases ahead of us.

Maple Syrup and hockey cure for CCP virus.

It's stock footage, I don't see whats bad about it.

Here's the clip. You decide if you think it's not terribly misleading at best. (footage used around 1:20)

At the very least, they needed a BIG disclaimer at the bottom of the screen if you ask me.

Oh so that's dishonest at least.

I get im very fortunate and life is hard... But damn thats a lot of people who cant survive two weeks no pay, these people would be f****ed if a real emergency hit.

Many of my coworkers are having the same problem. :( I fully understand not having funds to survive 2 or 3 months.... but 2 weeks? Damn.

It's gotten to this point where I really cannot pay rent because doing so would jeopardize my ability to buy food or basically survive,"

What? Isnt a roof over your head the first thing you need? How are you cooking anything without a place to cook it?

In France, Dr. Raoult did a follow up study on Hydroxycholoroquine and Azithromycin. The initial study had only 36 patients. The latest one was with 80 patients but it also was not randomized.

They concluded that Hydroxycholoroquine and Azithromycin may be helpful if patients are given it before they develop severe respiratory problems.

Again, there was no control group so it hard to tell if the drugs helped patients recover or they recovered on their own. It's still too early to make a judgement.

The viral load goes down at about day 7.

If anybody is interested, here's an article that goes over the study.

President Trump doesn't need to talk to Biden.

Biden doesn't know what fucking planet he's on, how could that senile clown offer anything useful? He can't, so Trump should tell Biden to fuck off.

Most people in the country are living paycheck to paycheck as well as being in debt. It's why I'm so worried about the effect that these month+ long shutdowns are going to have.

He also has a hospital with over 1000 patients using it and only 1 died.

But as with all of his studies scant on info and no control groups.

Waiting on the New York test that will tell us if this thing works or not. Not going to hold my breath or get to excited.
