BNO update for those of us who were wondering..
Because the NYC hospitals were beginning to struggle a month ago. Another couple weeks without a lockdown, and we would have been in serious shit.
You thought it was BS that people called health hotlines, Dame posted a link regarding Maryland, and that became BS too. You often find something to be BS when it doesn't fit with what you already believe.
I didn't even know about Maryland, I know that the Tristate hotlines received many calls.
The alternative isn't much better.
People didn't try what the President said, they didn't even inquire about what the President said, the whole country just ignored him?
If everybody knows to ignore you, you shouldn't be leading a McDonald's, let alone one of the top 50 countries in the world.
No, it does not mean that.
For there to be a 2nd wave, a 1st wave would have needed to form, and crash. There's absolutely nothing we know that would have randomly stopped a 1st wave.
It's also a nothing story. A military historian wrote a story over a month ago published by the Conservative Review? Where are the facts?
Unfortunately even in hard hit areas like NYC, the antibody results indicate that a 2nd wave could effect far more people than the 1st.
I still think we can have a fairly nice Summer, but if youre not expecting lockdowns, or a larger 2nd wave later this year, you're likely in for a rude awakening.
My how far they have fallen. They used to be a go to.
Rumor is someone bought out the Drudge report and it's run by new people now.
The court said it “acknowledges that the First Amendment guarantee of the Free Exercise of religion is one of the most important ones set forth in the Bill of Rights, and, without question, it grants the Church, in this case, the right to assert certain rights which, say, a barbershop would have no right to assert.”
"Today's judicial ruling is a much-needed reminder that the Constitution is not under a stay-home order and the Bill of Rights cannot be quarantined," he said. "The Constitution protects our liberties especially during times of crisis, when history reveals governments too quick to sacrifice rights of the few to calm fears of the many."

Virginia says they can't open for TWO YEARS:
Phase one could take two years, not that it'll take two years to get to phase one.
Uh, OK. Did you even read what I posted (or the content in the tweets you posted)? It's going to be fun to go to Virginia when it goes full Mad Max. Will be great for tourism.

It can't be done sooner than that; it would cause any gains against the disease to be lost and the death count higher. Partly its the politics slowing it down as to how it can open up while maintaining safety.
The wording was "some businesses" , not most. Maybe you should read things before you repost them here. Or verify what you're posting, instead of blindly posting the retweets of rando tweeters. It's already been clarified he meant that a vaccine may take two years to develop, not that phase one would last that long.Phase 1 requires schools and most businesses to remain closed. If they are doing Phase 1 over two years, the state will cease to exist.

"Phase One will not last for two years," said the governor's office on Saturday. "We need to keep working together to beat this disease — not spread fear and misinformation."

UPDATE: Virginia COVID-19 cases increase by 989, deaths up by 23
The Virginia Department of Health reported Monday that the state has 25,070 COVID-19 cases, an increase of 989 over the 24,081 reported Sunday .www.richmond.com
If you think any state is going to be able to keep its population locked up for TWO YEARS you have no clue what you're talking about.
The Governor was not the one you quoted in your tweet. Anyway, you posted this 21 minutes ago when the governors office already clarified their position 7 hours agoSo he's walking it back. Just like he tried to walk it back when he got caught in blackface and a klan hood.
lol what contempt you have for people. get over yourselfBetter stop acting like neanderthals and it can open up sooner.
Nobody, just a low-hanging friendly jab at our american allies.
What are you talking about bro? America locked itself down for about a month and got a handle on the virus. Even NYC (though more work needs to be done there). We have increased PPE and ventilator manufacturing to meet our needs (or can import). We all “leveled up”. With mask wearing, social distance and hand washing.Better stop acting like neanderthals and it can open up sooner.
Some Graphs. As always, this is US data only. To save space, I've excluded the total cases and logarithmic graphs this time. They show exactly what you'd expect total cases is very high and the curve is very much flattening (this is particularly visible on a logarithmic graph since it shows the numbers in relation to exponential growth. With that. I've added a new graph today that will hopefully be encouraging in an otherwise discouraging set of numbers.
Daily Percentage Growth
![]()
The growth is still well below its heights, but unfortunately has plateaued at the 4% range. This is a great number compared to a month ago, but this number needs to keep decreasing to get past these problems. This is even more visible in our next two charts.
Real Daily Growth
![]()
As you can see with this chart, we have hit new heights on the real daily growth number. You can see where the plateu has come into the picture. This is an improvement over the growth we've seen, but a real growth in the 30,000 range needs to decrease.
Real Daily Growth Over the Past 14 Days
![]()
Looking at the real growth over the past two weeks shows a slight upward trend. Obviously, this is bad news. While we've had some encouraging numbers recently, this is a stark reminder that we are by no means out of the woods yet.
New Chart: Recovered Compared to Deaths
![]()
When I graphed these numbers today, I felt pretty good. While our numbers are still increasing faster than they are recovering, at least we have this data. Our recovered numbers are far higher than the mortality numbers. Hopefully, that green line continues to increase much faster than the red line.
Overall, I'm still encouraged by our numbers. We have kept the growth rate well under 5% , but today is also a reminder that we aren't finished quite yet. Unfortunately, as some places are getting their outbreaks under control, we've seen other places with unexpected growth. While this is overall expected, its certainly not something that we want to see.
This is a MUST WATCH.
It will clarify your mind! That doctor is superb.
And yes guys, get comfortable because we have to deal with this "new normal" world for a few years..

America did a pretty good job at containing this thing once it because apparent it was a problem.
remember, the deal was never that nobody could get sick. It was to not crash the healthcare system. We have done that. Now it’s balancing risk (Like we do everyday with almost all things).
im starting to think you are a Russian or Chinese bot just stirring up shit.

Yeah. It seems Americans cant cope with spending a few weeks inside
You say this as if it has no effect on people's lives and is just something that anyone can do without it being a very big deal.
the hope is we'll run the system with enough paranoia to stave rebound (masks, distancing, so forth)
i'm worried most about mutation and recurrent infection
*edit*
kinda late and tired, apols

It only has such a big effect cause america never bothered to put in a safety net for situations like this; while other countries are using systems like the furlough system (80% of employee wages paid by government during lockdown, 20% paid by employer)
You say this as if it has no effect on people's lives and is just something that anyone can do without it being a very big deal.
Funnily enough I say that as someone in a country having to cope with a similar lockdown. Only we don't go around raging about 'MAH FREEEEDOM!!!111' People are being paid to stay home here, but the USA will never do similar because it doesn't give a shit about anyone but the very rich.
Yeah. It seems Americans cant cope with spending a few weeks inside, let alone a couple of years.
we sit on the front lines for the whole world, knee deep in mud and blood, and this is the kinda shit we put up with
i'm not mad, but i'm not surprised
You don't go around raging about freedoms because you are being paid to stay home and your livelihood is not at risk.
Yes its bs. Because no one whose supports Trump was listening to fake news like CNN or MSNBC. If you watched the PC or FOX you know Trump was not telling people to drink disinfectants. The only way you would get that idea is if you watched liberal media that mangled his words.
If people 2 days ago werent drinking bleach there not going to start because Trump said scintest and doctors should do some tests. And liberals dont listen to what Trump says and arent going to go drink bleach because Trump said so.
If anything its either BS made up or reporters and other dummies are calling in to create a story.
And keep in mind we are all using way more disinfectants now a days. Some people are crazy enough they wash down their groceries etc.. so mishaps with these chemicals make sense as well as increased interest. But i am sure media is combing through anything lysol or bleach related ready to pounce.

Exactly. Unfortunately here in America we have an entire breed of human that is entitled and very selfish.People in Italy are locked down since nearly 60 Days. FULL Lockdown, they were not even allowed to go Out for a Walk. And guess what, No one Protested. No fuckin rallies, no demonstration.
Are Americans some Special Kind?
