Yeah, I do my best to remain impartial and I usually like DF but when I was watching their video, it almost felt as if they were fear mongering about the PS5's size and price point, he literally spent the whole video discussing the potential issues consumers will face when buying the PS5, save that shit for tabloid gaming journalism and stick to deep tech analysis and reviews.
These are just my impressions personally, I won't hold it against them, I understand that they have to pump out videos every few days especially about the PS5 since they get the most views/engagements. There's more I can say but this a next-gen discussion and I rather not waste time discussing piss poor journalism.

IMO, this really leave PSNow in question for long term appeal. XCloud, Stadia and Amazon's service will be available on hundreds of Millions of people and Game Pass will be there to benefit from it. How does Sony fit into this picture? Sony is relying on their own proprietary hardware for Cloud Gaming so it makes it impossible to integrate XCloud, Stadia or Amazon Cloud gaming services with PSNow. As all three companies are relying on their own proprietary servers.

i mean i have been telling you guys that this stuff isnt mind blowing to everyone. there isnt really that much to get enthused about since they showed pretty much nothing from a gameplay perspective. we got ratchet and some indie games showing last gen gameplay. ok.
its great that you guys think the ps5 games are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but a lot of us were expecting more. and i dont just mean better graphics.

I'm literally saying out of $60, 13% being the sum costs of selling that software is insane, especially when you add all those I described (i.e. printing, disc, shipping, storing, cut to the retailer). And I even didn't add VAT, so please insert that one somewhere in the equation. And before you say VAT is paid separately, that may be the case in the US, but at the very least in Europe it's part of the price, not a side thing.
New Uncharted, if it happens, will be a different game (characters, feeling, maybe even gameplay) so it only makes sense. I think ND are done with the franchise and that's good. Artists need to seek new inspirations or their creations become stale and predictable.
Depends on a game. DICE patched it in Battlefield because people with SSDs were occupying vehicles at the beginning of the round. But when I play, say, Division or Borderlands with friends, I can get quite far in a level while they still load and curse me
.I don't use iPhones but I don't really care if my phone has 64 or even 32 GB. My photos upload to the cloud right after being taken, music I listen to is streamed. Even 32 GB is more than enough for the apps I use.
They will have to offer some lobby activities for next gen users so they can wait for current gen ones.
You can spend this time in quality mode discussing other people's mothers.

Sony could include the Media Remote with the PS5 to sell us the idea that we are buying a Home Cinema System too. It could even have its own UI and works without turn on the PS5.
This is why $499 and $399 makes sense to me.

Not necessarily a Sony TV as long as it has CEC or whatever the tech is called on your tv you can control your ps4 with the TV remote.
You can check here all the names that brand uses that is CEC.
Edit: Just be careful that your console is plugged on the right HDMI slot as some tvs only have on one port.

Thanks for expanding on the thought. I didn't want to speculate on other brands as I haven't bought a different brand TV for over 20 years. I have 3 Sony TVs at home, the oldest is 14 years, I think, and none of them has ever had any fault. The first colour TV with a remote my family had lasted for 20 years with 2 minor repairs.
Unfortunately, today's electronics won't last that long because of RoHs compliance. Those SNES and PS1 consoles may still work well when most PS4 or Xbox One units go to the landfill. But that's politics disguised as ecology and quite off-topic.

Your post is just as guilty in reality. In comparing RTX 20xx discrete GPUs for the purposes of benchmarking, it assumes identical architecture (and therefore CU occupancy, which is why you don't compare peak teraflops) and identical drivers and graphics APIs.
XSX and PS5 both have GPUs that are derived from AMD's RNDA2 technology, but both machines will be using very different graphics APIs, and PS5's GPU has the ability to keep its CUs loaded with work as changes to system memory pages invalidate parts of its working cache.
It's systems and incremental changes like this between GTX 10xx and RTX20xx that improve CU occupancy and make comparing theoretically calculated peak teraflop figures irrelevant.
Games typically only achieve around 30-40% CU occupancy, with a lot of time a CU spent waiting on something else to finish, or for a memory fetch to fill its working cache so that it can do useful work.
PS5's Coherency Engines and GPU cache scrubbers could contribute an average of mostly fuck all to CU occupancy, or something quite significant. It might vary based on game or game engine. We don't know.
This isn't saying PS5's GPU is suddenly better. This isn't even saying PS5's GPU is equal or has even appreciably closed the gap, either.
This is saying that although both are RDNA2 based, there are hardware and architecture differences that directly affect CU occupancy.
There are graphics APIs unique to each manufacturer that also indirectly affect how efficiently those CUs will be utilised.
So it's neither comparing a GTX 10xx to an RTX 20xx, nor comparing an RTX 20xx to an RTX 20xx using the same Windows drivers and DirectX API.
The answer to how much difference between the two GPUs in real world code there is for anyone not working on a multi-platform title with both dev-kits is:
"I don't know".
The rumours from such sources say it's closer than ever. The earlier rumours seemed to say it was the opposite of what a naive reading of paper specifications would say.
I think it's reasonable to say we don't know but it's likely XSX has the edge over all.
Comparisons to tightly controlled PC benchmarks where the only thing being changed in CUs and clock-speed is irrelevant. That isn't the only difference between the two systems, or even the two GPUs.

Nope my friend. You are the one saying dense fudness. The CUDA cores didn't change that much between the two generations. As you can see here, the older 1080TI, having 12,5% more Teraflops, has a rendering speed advantage around that value, so the efficiency is almost the same.

Here's my bench, it's kinda messy, I know, my daughter keeps pulling the wires and biting them like a rodent, and while playing TLOU2 she keeps climbing me all the time to the bed behind me then comes again and repeats it as some kind of a game. Man, it was a torture to play the game that way.
55" 2016 Sony DX70 HDR 4K, might upgrade to 65-85" Sony XH90 depending on my brain state as I go crazy around electronics.
Pardon the crappy quality, it's just to give an idea. I took off the shelf above it for better airflow, it tends to make some noise if kept inside those tight spaces, and you can place the shelf back when you're done. That way or in an open space is the best way for console longevity, and it's a very quite PS4. Got it day one in November? 2016, and gave my base PS4 with some physical disks (bought it in December 2nd, 2013, day one here) to a dear friend who's still unemployed, sadly, until now.
This console and the previous model spends long sessions up to my personal record of 51 hours playing MGS5.
This one is the second version of PS4 Pro as I remember the complains, the second model/revision.

I'm not sure if it's still in place, but Sony has a policy that if third/second party develop exclusively for PlayStation, Sony gets the ownership of the IP. It's one of the reasons Insomniac actually developed Sunset Overdrive for Xbox. Sony would have had ownership of the IP, Microsoft didn't. In highsight pretty funny now that Insomniac is a Sony first party developer.

One out of the two must start it, like a used games trade and Sony/MS have a %5 cut or 10% (6 for studio and 4 for Sony, just like the store percentage?). Maybe some will think it's a high cut, but to most digital games owners it's a welcome change for many. I will sell all my freaking backlog (180+ on PS4) for 10 games on PS5 or even less.

Well, Sony paid a $229M in cold cash for that! And what a smart move that was. It still stings Sony that they lost the Crash Bandicoot IP, although it wasn't a first party game to begin with. It saddens me that the new one is still regressive and didn't develop and evolve like Ratchet and Clank for example. I'm not impressed with the new Crash game, and Activision is one of the most hated companies to me.
Insomniac seems like a wonderful studio for a better Crash Bandicoot, but a shit company as Activision they won't let the IP go. Naughty Dog lost it in a strange way.
Sunset Overdrive was one of the best games that made me consider Xbox actually, but I didn't sell my soul to the devil.
Been looking at 4k monitors because my current 1080p one is dying. Any good recommendations, just browsing at the moment dont know if I'll be able to afford one yet. Though I could always sell my body to science to afford one

Not quite sure on budget yet its depending entirely on how the next few months go with the current situation and if I end up getting the flu putting me out of work. I prefer gaming on a monitor you get better response times and much greater PPI on a 27inch monitor compared to a big TV. I atleast 4k 60hz HDR monitor.What's your budget? And why not a TV? You just don't know what you're missing, but if you are a hardcore shooter gamer then monitors would still be great for you for PC gaming. New TV's have VRR and 4K@120Hz if you've not been keeping up, and both PS5 and XSX support that with ALLM as well (HDMI 2.1 feature set).
I've used a monitor for ps4 for the last 5 years and it gave me better experience than I got from a TV because there is a lot less lag and no heavy post processing features going on. Yeah a TV would like that would be nice but I dont have the budget for that I would have to sell my legs or summon to get one
monitors are cheaper options whilst offering up same features. Tho if I miraculously stumble across some cash I'll look at some of those juicy TV's- Status
