Sony's show really didnt have that "Killzone: Shadowfall moment" ironically. MS needs to show that game that shows us that next gen has arrived.

Halo: Infinite gameplay looking as good or better than the Discover Hope trailer may do that. Hellblade 2 gameplay will do that. No more excuses. I'm glad that this event seems underhyped on purpose.

Man, I'm really hoping for some new reveals and/or exclusives. I feel like we really haven't gotten to many yet (at least that I care about, lol) and I'm craving more, haha.

I guessed it would be the 23rd! now I wonder if preorders go live on the same day or on the 24th because Friday is payday for lots of people.

Really looking forward to this.

I WANT to give you my money Microsoft, so give me good reasons to.

well they have every chance to make a big impact here

if they fuck it up now, then.......ooft

Oh fuck I'll be in Mallorca at that point in time.
The hotel better give me wi-fi for this shit.
Also no Forza Horizon reveal this year means an automatic 3 point deduction.
You more than likely will see Forza Motorsport 9 thus year rather than Horizon seeing as part of the Playground team is rumoured to be working on a new Fable title.

That's good imo, not had a proper Motorsport for a while Horizon 4 still seems awful fresh to iterate it on once again so quick.

Got a feeling they're pushing for 4K120 on it too.

I don't expect much, always hype hype hype but then it's a let down somehow.
They need variety to attract new buyers, Japanese games like on the Japanese consoles seems too much to ask.
But other way around it's fine - does not get it.
They should show trailers of games that won't come out for years like Sony does in every conference.

Feels like we won't be seeing any ID@Xbox games at all during the showcase probably. They just released a indie showcase video on their yt channel

Good. I don't care about Indie games.
Would rather see a signing in screen similar to Sonys PS button to start teaser than sleep through games I'm not remotely interested in.

This better has AAA gameplay and OS teasers.

Looking forward to this !

No mention of Series X in the announcement, so there might be Xbox One games or maybe Series S who knows ?

I hope that we will see some Japanese games !

Phil stated he hates doing this because of Scalebound, but he may not want to die on that hill. People need to see what's in the pipeline since consoles are a multi-year investment. If a game is cancelled, its cancelled. It would have served its purpose to generate the needed hype.

I think it will be a bit easier to show stuff from first party thats farther out. Probably easier to gauge how the project is going vs a 2nd party deal.

Mic drop moment. MS buys Warner Bros. Gaming Division. Kidding aside.

I do hope MS aquires a few more world class AAA studios. They're still short vs Sony.

Don't think there will be any major new announcments. I think the show will all be about showing the games we already know of and have been heavily rumored.(Halo Infinite, Everwild, Fable, Hellblade 2, Obsidian rpg, Forza,Physchonauts 2, and The Initiative game)

My concern is the Initiative game. They're still only at like 30 people. Either they're partnering with another studio (The Coalition) or its a very small game. In order for The Initiative to be a world class 1st party AAA studio, it's going to need at least 100 people.

Going to temper my expectations because I want MS to do so well that I don't think they'll meet expectations.
They can have a great show with those games as long as they look good enough and like a big leap

Hellblade is the only thing so far shown that looks next gen. Horizon 2 looks good too, but not quite on the same level. Unreal engine 5 demo was a lot of rocks.

Microsoft is our only hope for hype about early next gen. Over time I'm sure games will look incredible, but so far "next gen" hasn't really impressed.
I'd say Hellblade 2 (we need to see gameplay 1st though), Ratchet and Clank, Kena, Returnal all look next generation to name a few

I am super excited for Fable, Halo Infinite, Flight Sim, Forza Motorsport 8 (if they show it), Obsidian's games (even if they only show off more grounded I'll be okay), Everwild and whatever their publishing arm is ready to show off. If all these games come out within the next 18 months that would be even better and would be pretty hard to beat.

I'm ready to be immensely disappointed, yet I still have an unimaginable amount of hype.

Haha this is where I am at. I am not expecting this event to be mind blowing judging by Microsoft ls track record. What they consider to be "amazing" is usually just good for me. I'm usually not disappointed with their showings but I am very rarely blown away.

Killer Instinct randomly dropping in the middle of e3 2013 was the last time I was completely caught off guard by them.

Everyone keeps talking about being hyped for Perfect Dark. I played Perfect Dark Zero and thought is was very, VERY meh. Is Perfect Dark, much better than Zero?

The OG PD was a massive game for it's time. But it's not aged particularly well. PDZ was not really anything like the original other than it was a FPS.

For some, the original even tops the flawless Goldeneye 64. But it didn't age well, like most games from that time. I agree that Zero wasn't exactly a revelation, but I liked it nonetheless. I guess I'm just a huge fan of this old Rare IP, I can look past a lot of shortcomings then. My favourite game of all time is Skyrim, which is a bug ridden glitch fest.
