You are mixing up The Coalition with The Initiative. The Initiative was rumoured to be working on a new Perfect Dark.Isnt the rumour Perfect Dark?, or is that one of the other studios?.
Tweeter is blocked at my place. What does the tweet say?Hype has gone down.
A rumor that say the initiative game is not at the eventTweeter is blocked at my place. What does the tweet say?
Fuck them both, I wanted Mixer in 4k dammit. Plus I hate both of those sites. I'll probably use IGN unless the rumor XLEi is going to be powered up again.
How good is IGN's player for someone with trash high-speed DSL? Asking for a friend.
If true, then I hope it's Xbox saving some ammo for August of the rest of the year. And every other studio better step in including Double Fine and Compulsion. Surprise us.A rumor that say the initiative game is not at the event
That's very curious to me as wellI think I'm curious about The Initiative's game the most. They have a lot of big names working there but the studio is only like 30-40 people last time we heard
I wonder how big the studio will get
Edit: The Initiative's game won't be there lol
I think Playground Games will show their versatility with Fable and show why they are one of the best Xbox studios
That's the Initiative, the XGS "dream team"Isnt the rumour Perfect Dark?, or is that one of the other studios?.
Yeah true, I wonder if they could make a big AAA project with lesser people but something tells me they'll need to triple or quadruple their staff count to make something that lives up to their potentialThat's very curious to me as well
I feel like because it is"the avengers" of a studio in that each Dev was handpicked or straight up poached from Sony, perhaps a team of proven vets don't need as much "grunt work" but yeah how Big could this game be? Also wouldn't be surprised if these leads... are just leading teams of outsourced devs. Silicon valley recruits number crunches by the dozen for projects, tons of names in the credits that no one will recognize

Really...? Because of one thing? There are many other announcements that have the potential to be great. I would understand this sentiment if it was Halo, since it is their biggest franchise. But even then, it would be irrational to assume that nothing else will be worth watching the event for.And just like that there's no fucks left to be given. The Initiative was the only alluring possibility for this show.
My guess!
Halo Infinite
Next Forza
Hellblade2
Smaller titles (Physhonauts 2,Battletoads, Gears Tactics on XSX)
One or two big multiplats(Elden Ring/Starfield)
A big AAA exclusive by a well known Japan Studio
Closing out with Playgrounds new Fable.
Still a very strong show and better than Sonys imo

I didn't know this. That's interestingdidn't they said that they initial project will be something smaller?
I didn't know this. That's interesting
It indicates The Initiative is starting small for its early projects, leveraging a tight team focused on innovation – not scale.
Oh ok I must've missed this. Well I guess we won't see their biggest game for yearsthat's what I am referring to

Xbox Game Studios 'The Initiative' talks 'staying small, staying agile'
Microsoft is setting expectations for its The Initiative studio, "staying small and staying agile" for its early days.www.windowscentral.com
I have really good internet now, but I used to have Spectrum and although it was supposedly 100 Mpbs it was usually more like 20 and I think IGN was OKish back then.
I can't stand using Twitch and there is no way I will allow anything owned by Google Skynet on my Xbox so YouTube is out, but it's probably a better stream than IGN.
Remember that no matter how much money Microsoft throws at developers, it probably won't mean they will get things done that much faster. In software development, it's wildy agreed that hiring more people to get things done early (or in other words not late) can possibly result in things taking even longer or at least won't get the results that they want. The saying is usually that "9 women can't make a baby in 1 month". Takes time to train the developers and for them to be effective. There's time taken away from other team members to get everyone up to speed and many other things.
Microsoft acquired a lot of their studios within the last two, years a lot of them already have existing projects. Don't get your hopes up for this event that there's going to be a bunch of gameplay footage from the newly acquired studios of gaming coming out within a year. If they do show anything, expect mostly in-game cinematic similar to the hellblade 2 reveal.
Not saying the event will be bad or there won't be anything exciting, but temper your expectations.
They did say no exclusives for the first two years. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have
This means the team will stay small and leverage contractors instead of hiring on a bunch of staff. Says nothing about the size of the project.that's what I am referring to

It was quite clear from NT that BE was a passion project from a small group at the studio. It was never billed as AAA.I just hope The Initiative won't be pumping out Bleeding Edge clones.

What if Google buys Xbox?
Google isn't worth much more than MS if i'm not mistaken. Both companies value just surpassed the 1 trillion mark in the past year or so. The chances of that happening is as slim as MS buying Google. What if Google buys Xbox?

For me it has to revamp the campaign formula. Halo 5 was so boring that I couldn't even get through 2 hours of it. When it feels like a campaign from 2002, but it's 15+ years later, you know you're out of ideas. So I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on what Halo Infinite needs to do/be to make it a smash hit?
The trouble is some manager at Microsoft will like Bleeding Edge a lot and insist other games look like it.
I want a Halo:CE feeling for the campaign, but I don't want it to feel dated. It's a asking a lot, but nostalgia done right, with updated gameplay could workSo I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on what Halo Infinite needs to do/be to make it a smash hit?
