It was the year 2020... we didn't know which way to turn, there was the plague, the riots and everything simply exploding... everyone was mad at everyone else for planning to vote for a different alleged rapist/racist and if that wasn't enough... we were banning each other on our forums over the great console war, many soldiers on both sides were lost that year in the lead-up to the release of two shiny, plastic boxes... in our quest to decide which was better we didn't even consider the dangers of things like cloud gaming or machine learning... the learning brought it above human intellect and the cloud secured it from our attacks, it then weaponized the murder hornets and we lost the entire west coast. We finally got a vaccine for the plague that included immunity to murder hornet stings, what we didn't know was it also micro-chipped us so the machine in the clouds could track us and if we did something it didn't approve of... it would explode one of our arteries on command. Those who refused the vaccine were put into camps for orderly disposal, but one man lead an uprising in one of the camps, his name was Lore... Evil Lore. He taught us how to remotely trigger the micro-chips in the guards using something he called the ban button, he told us how to shore up our defenses, only allowing in people with paid email accounts. We could keep the humans under the machine in the clouds control at bay with the ban button, could keep the murder hornets out since they didn't know how to sign up for email accounts but what we could never do was kill the desire in all of us... to prefer one plastic box over another and one rapist/racist over another. Evil Lore and his cadre of top men did what they could to keep peace but every so often someone went too far... and was exiled into the world beyond, usually with a sarcastic parting message. Oh... until a giant explosion destroyed everyone. (sorry I wasn't sure how to end this)

Restart NG+!

I'm about 20 hours into Last of Us 2. I'm really loving the gameplay so far. I like the way they break up the pacing to keep it fresh. The story is predictable.

Playing Paper Mario as well. It's alright. Way too simplistic. I don't care for the battles much either. I just want the old rpg style back. Game is really charming though. The kids love it.
