Xbox Game Pass on PC

Besides Indie games, there really isn't much on game pass for PC. It's pretty much devoid of multiplatform games and I wouldn't doubt it if Microsoft inevitably drops support altogether.

What's the appeal? There's better PC subscription services offered, and even epics free games have been higher quality than what's offered (for free).

Uh, game pass for PC is awesome. What a troll post saying Microsoft would drop support. Lots of games now and lots of games coming. New and old titles rotate in and out all the time.

Console has more choice but PC is still in beta and is getting more and more. This month pc ended up with more new stuff then console to boot.

For $5 it's worth it to me Carrion and Battletoads would have cost me $40. Wastelands hits soon and Flight sim there as well.

Are you blind?

I hope this is a joke "drops support all together"? Are you high.

Eh?, Gamepass PC is awesome. There are tons of games, with new games added almost daily. Flight Simulator alone would make it worth it lol.

Are you fucking kidding me?
The last 5games I have played have been on PC Gamepass:
1. Metro Exodus
2. Metro 2033
3. Metro Last Light
4. Rise of the Tomb Raider
5. Dishonored 2

It's been an outstanding deal so far. In fact I've gotten more use out of it than I have from Xbox games.

Dafish? There are plenty of big games on the subscription and it's still in beta no? For 5$ i am getting my money's worth 10 times over

The fuck are you talking about?

If anything the selection is better than what's available on console.

Nevermind, the OP doesn't actually play games:

I understand that "I have absolutely no need for this..." thing.

I barely play any games on PC - I've beat maybe 20 games in the past 7 years - but I still want to build a new PC. Current PC has a GTX 980 Ti, I7-8700, and I also have a couple NVME drives sitting in my drawer.

There are a few things to complain about on pc gamepass but content and quality of content are NOT those items.
I mostly wish they didn't use the fucking horrible Windows store as the backend. I know they have no choice but the Windows Store is such a heaping pile of shit and has been so for so long, it's so depressing.

There is should be an auto response to any new gamepass threads.

"Do you understand that Gamepass is not for everyone?"
If yes, delete post.

If no, BANNED.

It depends on your tastes, I guess. I got 3 months free when I bought a new CPU last year. Ended up not playing a single game. Didn't care about 95% of them and already owned the other 5%

Game Pass for PC is phenomenal. I feel like an asshole for snubbing it until last week when I started my trial. It works beautifully, no Windows store jank (I got the Game Pass App), just a huge assortment of great games for $4.99 a month. I've already played Flight Simulator, Wargroove, Momodora Reverie, and The Touryst.

I 100%ed Momodora and am almost there with The Touryst, this is the most fun I've had with video games in months.

The Touryst is really good, was pretty surprised.

I just fired up my Xbox app and there's a lot here. Battletoads, Spiritfarer, the latest Flight Simulator, a football simulator, No Man's Sky.....

Seems like good value to me.

While i wish that some of the bigger games available only on the xbox side were on the pc one, they more than make up for it by adding several games more focused on the pc audience. It also has the more diverse selection than any other service available while also providing new stuff releasing day one on it without charging an extra. Humble monthly and twitch prime is pretty much indie stuff which you seem to dislike, Ubisoft and EA ones are pretty much dedicated solely to their games with a small selection of 3rd party so complement it a bit (EA also charging extra for access to the newer releases, unsure about Ubisoft since i haven't used it). Epic isn't like these other as it's not a sub but it tends to also be a lot of indie games with an occasional oldish bigger game giving out the base version to sell dlc which pretty much is also the kind of multiplatform game that also pops up on gamepass.

TLDR No other service gives me day one Crusader Kings 3 in a week so they can't be all that better.

I dont have xbox, but i used the 12 months xbox live gold to convert to GPU.
Now i have 3 years of PC games buffet.

Im sure MS will add more third party PC games to GPU out of beta. It is the future, inevitable. Subscribe it, support the future!

That's what I did as well.

Game Pass on X1 is great, as games I remember off the top of my head it had or still has included DMCV, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Battlefield 1. However like I said, the multiplatform support on PC is sorely lacking.

In Russia you can buy only Ultimate and only as a cards from retailers.

What year is that ?

P.S. In Soviet Russia Xbox plays you.

I had a look at the list. It's not stellar but it's not even close to what I'd call bad especially for the price. They could raise the price slightly and it still wouldn't be a bad deal.

EA Play subscription on Origin.

Considering that XGP get MS games day 1, for the comparison to be valid, I'll just assume you're talking about EA Play Pro. So, tell me, what multiplatform games does EA Play Pro have? From their list, stuff like A Plague Tale Innocence, Darksiders 3 and The Surge 2 as already been (or are still available) on XGP. Other than that, the Sinking City, Warhammer Chaosbane, Wreckfest and Trine 4.
Let's see wnat XGP has: Age of Wonders: Planetfall, Alien Isolation, Battletech, Battlefleet Gothic Armada, Dirt 2, F1 2019, No Man Sky, Rage 2, Yakuza Games, Dead by Daylight etc.

I can understand your complain IF you're comparing the service between the XB1 and PC version, but it's cheaper on PC, so, yeah, a compromise needs to be made. But EA Play (Pro or not) being better? Only if you enjoy EA games, but the "multiplatform" argument goes out the window.

It's in beta and they're still adding quite a bit. I mean, since I signed on they've already added quite a bit more. Maybe it's just not for you?

To each their own but I don't understand how anyone could look at the list and think there's nothing there. I've played quite a bit and have been happy with it personally. But there's much more to come.

I'll throw my two cents in as Captain Shit Lord of the Pirate Sea

I would like to get GamePass, however, there's just no reason to on my ship

With that in mind, GamePass becomes more about "What games would I get to be able to play that aren't already on PC?"
Which is slim, already, since they started releasing most of their titles on PC too
I've finally gotten to play Halo single player instead of co-op at a friends house

Guys, notice how he ignored all of the critical responses? That is trolling 101. This thread should be nuked.

DMC V was only on console
Shadow of the Tomb Raider was on both Console and PC
Battlefield 1 has never been on the service.

Your perception clearly needs some work as there are plenty of multiplatform games on the service.

Dsrksiders 3
Darksiders Genesis
F1 2019
Yakuza Kiwami
Yakuza Kiwami 2
Yakuza 0
Bloodstained
Dishnored 2
Saints Row 4
The Outer Worlds
Rage 2
The Sruge 2
Shadow Warrior 2
Alien Isolation
No Mans Sky
Fallout 76
MVC:I
Dragon Quest 11
New Super Luckys Tale

The Touryst is really good, was pretty surprised.
I finished it last night. I highly recommend this to anyone with a free weekend that is wondering what to play next on GamePass.

After playing, I went back and looked at some of the Dev's other games and am planning on picking up Fast RMX on Switch before my next cross-country flight.
