I see what Mista was saying. There's so many wonderful people and things here, but I'm done. At least for a while. I love you guys.

It's an entertainment forum. It shouldn't constantly irritate you and pull down your day. Which is to say, I'm not blaming Gaf, which is wonderful and quite often the opposite of that, just some of the pieces of uncivilized garbage that have chosen to flood in to parasite that.

I'm going to think about things, how to react to them, and at least have a little bit of time without crap like this always pulling at me. Maybe then I'll be in a better frame of my mind to come back.

You have to shed away your negative feelings and emotions to the point where you don't go from 0 to 100. It isn't easy but the best way to start to change is to see what is truly ailing you. Hope to see you back soon, don't retreat into a farm or something.

I'm sure the idea behind this thread was to hash out disagreements and such but the thing is... every time the mods allow a thread to exist specifically for people to do the shit they derail other threads with... they don't bother. Whether it's the console war thunderdome or this, I saw it so often "take this to the Meta thread" both posters don't come here. It's a community thread for people to just chill because no one is willing to use it for the actual purpose, because most people who troll and derail LIKE that what they do is trolling and derailing, they don't want to bring it somewhere where things can be hashed out and dealt with. They want to repeat the same bad behavior over and over. I think those of us who post here (definitely in my case) do so to cool off from all the sperging in the rest of the forum.

Take your time off with GAF, I did that for weeks or months at a time and it helped improve my perception of the forum.

Plus, you don't want to lose your Top 20 spot now, would you? :goog_cool:

Surprised to look in and see that there really wasn't anything wrong with what I was saying. All on point. I think trying to meld community rules with emotional honesty, and the difficulty inherent within, has left me a little paranoid of being negative.

Still going to take a little time off, though. One, I think it's lame to say something and not do it, and two, a little time away from something only reinforces your positive feelings for it, and freshens things up.
