As I mentioned above, the PS4 shipped with a power supply that worked in either region. I have a Paris-bought PS4 plugged in my home this very second. I don't think it'll be any different with the PS5, though of course I can't guarantee it.

On Amazon the PS4 was made available for preorder the same moment the price was announced by Sony at their conference, and it wasn't the shitshow of the PS5. I remember it very well because I ordered one from them.

OH I don't remember that. I remember waking up next morning and I was pissed bcus preorders had gone up maybe a second time at around 9 am then waiting a week and getting preorder in.

You can get an adapter at a Target or Walmart or just get the cable separately, like I did with my euro PS4.

Oh ok Didnt know...On the Canada site I ordered the DE edition and it went through but when I bought the disk edition using a different account, it looked liked it cancelled my DE order but had 2 different order numbers. When I clicked on my order status for my DE edition, it gave an error and nothing was showing. But disk edition I got the confirmation mail after. Then lastly, just about 10 minutes ago, I got the confirmation for my first order which was the DE one.

So now I wait for both versions. Bestbuy was out of stock in 15 minutes. Hell! I got the email from them announcing pre-orders were live way after they were out of stock loll
