UK GAF PS5 & Xbox Pre-order Watch

Still having issues with currys, no preorder confirmation email from the 17th but 5 quid taken on the day and preorder code screenshotted. Between twitter, live chat and calls nobody can give an answer other than you will receive an email to pay the amount a few weeks in advance.

If you can't even confirm over the phone or send a confirmation email, I have no fecking trust that I'll get the payment email 🙃
 
Do we know if game confirm anything apart from when you place the order?

I presume it will come on time it says release date 19th

I emailed them, and they just said if you got the generic thank you for your order email after you preordered everything should be good to get your console on release

My PS5 Digital Edition from Shop To says confirmed for day one but I've received no email confirming it yet, on the other hand also no email saying I've not got one for day one either, I've sent a support ticket to confirm.

Do you reckon I'm in the clear? Or some bug?

Yup, email yesterday afternoon.

A few of my friends received either confirmation or declined emails yesterday depending on whether they were successful. My shopto account also shows confirmed for day one as well now

Haven't received an email but my preorder says confirmed for day one, have sent a support ticket to ShopTo to confirm!

Just seen this. You're good as long as it says Confirmed for day one. Yeah I got an email. Glad to see you got yours too eventually :)
 
I just noticed that my Argos order delivery address doesn't have my street name/number. But my account details preferred address does have my full address, will I need to change it or is this just how Argos shows stuff?
 
OK Argos customer service confirmed they have the full address (I am certain I would have put it).

Probably just their website not showing full details in order summary.

Would have taken my chances, ain't nobody cancelling shit at this point.

Which basket do you lads think I should throw my eggs into? Amazon or ShopTo.

I am leaning towards ShopTo as they have went out of their way to allocate me a day one PS5, but Amazon have never let me down either so I dunno.

I would say Shopto... for me personally at least. Have never used Amazon for release day games or consoles, but have used Shopto with no issues

Definitely not Amazon for consoles. If Game say you're getting it day one, it's nailed on. Cancel Amazon and don't worry about it.

Another vote for shopto, they use DPD for delivery on consoles.
 
yeah DPD have always been great in my experience.

GAME have me with 24hr tracked royal mail delivery. My royal mail people have usually been good luckily.

Looks like GAME still has some DE but only as part of a bundle with the HD camera which I have no use for.
But for people interested, strike now.

I don't get why Game are always so scummy bundling. It's not as if they're in a good position to be able to fleece customers.
 
i wonder if Amazon is gonna confirm whether we are getting ours day one or not

currently have PS5 Digital on Amazon and XSX on Amazon and ShopTo

nothing from Shopto on XSX yet
 
Apparently Currys will have another session on 2nd Oct 2020 9am. Id leave it running in a browser as last time i did this i was a few thousand in and couldnt work out how people got in front of me

Box.co.uk are being a bunch of cunts. Whole week emailing me saying they will update on the status of the preorders this week, and today still the same thing...

I guess they don't know how many PS5's they will actually get, seems like bad practise especially as they wanted £1 to confirm what may be a non-existant console.
