Demon’s Souls – Gameplay Trailer #2 | PS5

Looks good. I wish it wasn't so hard. I could never finish Bloodborne's first chapter. Although may be with the share and help feature on PS5...

Roll a Royalty class character, stack the Magic stat, cast Soul Arrow until you get the Crescent Falchion from 4-1 which has A scaling from Magic. None of these words will make sense to you now, but it'll make the game easier while still retaining some challenge.

I played them all back-to-back over the course of a year or so, including Sekiro, and I'd say it's definitely one of the easier ones. A lot of the frustration came from the game feeling a little dated, which it won't now. Use the tip above to turn the difficulty down a notch from the start.

Thanks Dude.

Oh, I've got no problem with it being balls to the walls hard. I've beaten DS 1-3 many, many times. Just in watching the trailer, it actually looked quite easy on the whole. Still, the atmosphere looks incredible.

Ahh, okay, you'll have absolutely no trouble then. It being the genesis of Souls it was pretty slow, deliberate and rudimentary, especially since I played it after Bloodborne, but yeah, the pace isn't what makes it.

Holy crap that looks incredible. I'm not sure if to go for this or miles at launch :|

One weird thing I noticed, the feet don't seem to connect with the floor properly, looks like pretty severe displacement maps with IK

the only thing that is missing for me is textures for sword damage, it would be nice to have some visible damage on enemies, like cuts and blood splatter on armor.

Just give every new From Software game to this remake house IMMEDIATELY after release, or before release, or whatever...This looks amazing.

You can do it dude. I'm generally a bit shit at gaming, and even I can beat the Souls games.

Just takes practice and lots of leveling.

Yeah I've heard a few people say this so I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm not planning to buy any other games at launch so this should get my full attention as well.

I'm messing around with Bloodborne again at the moment in the hope that it will help me prepare although I understand that the combat in Bloodborne is a little faster and suits a more aggressive style so I'm not sure how relevant it'll be to Demon's Souls.

I'm so fuckin mad I can't get a PS5 at launch this looks too good. Kinda annoys me that they couldn't do omni-rolling in DSR.

Take it slowly. Concentrate. Don't rush. Don't give up. Don't get frustrated. Let the deaths wash over you, but learn from all of them.

That's how you play Souls games 👍

Looks amazing! With those visuals and 60fps this will be incredible. Really makes me want a ps5.
I'm really curious how I'd do against the Flamelurker now that I'm several souls games more experienced. Spent many hours on him on my first playthrough.

I played DeS after DkS1 (I might have played DkS2 before as well) and found it comparatively easy.

There are no doubt many changes. Some seem for the better. This game by itself is enough for me to purchase a PS5 if I can ever find one!

ok i'm really excited for this now. gonna be playing day 1 now cyberpunk has been delayed.

this is the only souls game i haven't played. didn't get into them until 2015 and i wasn't gonna go get a PS3.

Can't wait.
For those that have played it is the parry as useful as it was in DS1?

I found after blood borne between learning how to roll for invincibility frames and practicing parrying that the games difficulty really leveled out. At least prior to boss fights.

Well my first complaint is the character doesnt react at all to blocking an enemy Attack.... no movement, reaction or stagger. Nitpicking but whatever
