All modes have ray tracing it looks like, I assume the 60fps mode would have the quality of the rays toned down quite abit though OR the resolution drop will take priority over RT quality. Time will tellDoes 4k 30 have other goodies like mentioned raytracing ?
In the same interview, Gavin Moore confirmed that Fractured Mode is in Demon's Souls, and it will basically reverse all the maps to provide an additional challenge. And then once you've chosen a character, what you can do is, after you've paid a number of souls for it, in the Nexus you can actually kind of store your character and then go in and change your character in the Nexus. So that's the quick interpretation of it, I guess.
World Tendency is also back in the Demon's Souls remake, and it will work like in the original. Some UI tweaks will make it easier to understand the current tendency of each location.Fractured Mode is basically the Fractured World and it's a mirror mode. And actually, that's challenging because you reverse the map.
Demon's Souls is also going to feature different filters that will let players experience visuals closer to the original and more.World Tendency is exactly the same. The only thing that we've done is adjust the UI to make it a little bit easier for the player to understand which state the World Tendency is in.
Demon's Souls is releasing on November 12th in North America and on November 19th in the rest of the world. The game will feature the same brutally challenging experience of the original PlayStation 3 alongside a massive visual overhaul. And for the visual look of the game, what we do is we allow a whole set of filters. So you can pick the filter that you would like to play with in the game. So if you want to play in black and white, that filter exists. And there is a classic filter. So if you want to harken back to the days of the PlayStation 3 and play with that starker look and more of a darker look and a little bit more--what's the word--driving a little bit more fear into the game, then pick that classic filter and play like that. We have all those sources for you to play with. I really would like the fans just to play the game the way we made it first though, just so it can show off the incredible power of the PlayStation 5 and what we've done with it.
- Experience the original brutal challenge, completely remade from the ground up. All presented in stunning visual quality with enhanced performance, this is the world of Boletaria as you have never seen it before.
- Venture to the northern kingdom of Boletaria – a once prosperous land of knights, now beset with unspeakable creatures and ravenous demons. Meet strange characters, unhinged and twisted by the world around them, and unravel the unsettling story of Demon's Souls.
- Perfect and hone your skills in combat – know when to push forward and when to bide your time, as with each missed swing and careless mistake, you risk losing the very souls you've worked so hard to collect. The rewards for slaying the strongest foes are immense though, and death does not mean the end – it's just another state of being.
- With online invasions adding to the danger of your quest. Or play cooperatively by summoning allies to aid in your fight against the demons.
- Active PS Plus subscription required for online multiplayer.

So where did Digital Foundry got the 1440p number from?![]()
why you here if you don't like them? if you don't like it then why do you want to buy it?I really wish I liked From games, cuz this looks fucking amazing. I might give it a shot when it drops to $20-30 range just on principle.
The more info that comes out the less and less hope I havee for 1440p being supported .1440 120fps RT off?
1440 60fps RT on?

i'll be playing at dynamic 4k 60fps. 30fps is a joke for a game like this. i'll happily take lower resolution for higher framerate.
and good that they aren't giving into the people who beg for easy mode.
why you here if you don't like them? if you don't like it then why do you want to buy it?
that makes no sense. why don't you like their games? too hard for you? want an easy/hand holding setting to play at?
I watched the Sony trailer on YouTube in 4K. I'm assuming that's 30fps gameplay. If it is 30 it's really solid

That's the performance mode. Dynamic 4k at 60fps. It says so on youtube the footage is 60fps. We haven't seen the cinematic mode yet, even on screenshots.
They'd notice it a lot less than 30 LOLpsWould people even notice performance mode is dynamic ?
I watched it on my tv so I didn't see that. It looked so good I actually just assumed it was 4K.

A 360 doesn't change your direction you muppet.Nice to see gaf doing a 360 as always. 4k30fps next gen is fine now? I'll wait for PC.
It is 4k. Dynamic 4k, probably with some checkerboarding / upscaling to make it even.
