2020 is by far one of the worst years in human history, but there are still time for things to turn around. For me one of these things need to happen:

1. I win the lottery jackpot
2. A vaccine is widely available worldwide, at least for seniors
3. We win all 3 branches of government in a landslide

not too unrealistic hopefully. What about you?

this year really hasn't been that bad tbh imo

You mustn't do much with your life then.

Every single in person event I was looking forward to was cancelled and of course events I was going to enjoy online also got cancelled.

Not to mention the initial quarantine period and movie theaters being closed.

Awful year so far.

I'm married, it's been chill my wife's been working from home. I get to see her and my dog more than ever.

I might care more if I was younger, but you learn to appreciate other things as you age.

Lol I was a little too excited. That sounds nice.

Also for the record I appreciate being with family and friends but I also enjoy doing other things. You can do both. You do you though.

This was the worst year of my life by a million miles and nothing can save it.

if another 12 month period in my life ever gets worse than this then just shoot me now because I'm done.

LOL.

You don't have any idea.

Read this...

A decade of people freezing to death, and mass starvation around the globe, followed by the bubonic plague. Resulting in the death of around half the population of the roman empire.

Covid-19 is just a small little fart compared to what happened back then.
In fact, this year world wide more people died of Tuberculosis than of Covid-19.

Nah. This year has been terrible. But hey look on the bright side, 2021 might just be worse. Things seem to be trending that way.

Doubt it. I could never have imagined that living through a world changing global pandemic would be so fucking tedious.

One of the worst in human history? No, i don't think so at all. It's a bad one and probably the worst since the internet became a thing.

And who is "we" winning all three branches of the government? If you mean democrat then fuck no. That would be a horrible idea.

Edit: do you ever actually participate in the threads you create?

Which is a shame because we have a vaccine for TB.
Both are equally terrible and I hope we get a vaccine for Covid soon.

No one in the world should die from vaccinable disease.
The opportunity cost is immense.

I'm in a long ass line right now hoping to help redeem 2020 by kicking trump and his cronies the fuck out of Washington

Worst year in human history lol. Every single year of WWI / WWII makes 2020 looks like a bee sting compared to an amputated limb. There are probably humanitarian disasters every single year that are much, much worse than anything happening in the west because of COVID. Let's be honest, we're really sheltered.

Not personally for sure. Thanks to COVID I have lost my job and many of my passions too like festivals, concerts and such.

Thanks to the economic downturn it has been near impossible to find a new job too, been to one, yeah just one job interview from all applications I have sent in.

Only thing that would redeem 2020 would be some miracle like me winning a lottery jackpot and a partner after being single for over 12 years.

But historically 2020 is nowhere near the Top 10 of the worst years. Have you heard of other pandemics like the Spanish flu, the world wars, dark ages with the Black Death, Spanish Inquisition and so on and on.

Seriously, 2020 is one of the worst years in human history? Worst year of your life, sure. Worst year in the past 20-30 years, maybe. In all of human history?? Get a grip and read a book, which you have plenty of time to do it sounds like

What? I've been doing nothing but play videogames and watch random shit on youtube. While doing the occasional home office work. Since march!
Best year ever.

Years have been bad since around 2005 for me, maybe because I couldn't handle the transition of aging into an teenager-adult at the time, I failed at life around that time and still trying to stuggle being happy.

Though, in 2020. the Sonic movie was a pleasant surprise for me.
