What is the status of your next-gen pre-order?

There is a TON of random information provided mostly by Target Chat about shipping. Pretty consistently, they say shipping Nov. 13th. A few say the 12th. One said arriving at warehouse tomorrow and shipping from there at that point and the warehouses don't have them yet... just the stores did.

There's a mix of shipping info from people regarding the XSXs they pre-ordered. Some shipped FedEx and are getting them today. The people had to created FedEx accounts to see that since Target's date didn't show the right info. There are others who are indeed getting them on the 16th according to their info (shown on Target's system, not FedEx). The only people who were mentioning how something was shipping had so far said FedEx. Target Chat couldn't state how the systems were going to ship.

I would just try to breathe. I will go with, I doubt PS5s from Target will show shipping details until sometime later in the day tomorrow at the earliest. Some after that on the 12th or 13th.
 
Anyone order games from PS Direct? My console shipped last weekend and is being held at Fedex. My Demon Souls copy has said "preparing to ship" for a week now, but has not shipped.
 
So UPS pulled up, I was watching on my camera....he dropped it in the truck and it rolled down the steps and landed on the ground pretty hard..

Amazon UK just dispatched my order! 24 hours late but could be worse. I'm thinking maybe they got them in late?

FML I moved my meetings so I could work from home today and now I have to be on site tomorrow

Had Walmart going logged in with updated payment info...still wasnt fast enough. From when timer expired to place order was less then 7 seconds. Still didn't get one. Not sure if it was because the pickup store was more in demand then others. Oh well. I have one I preordered from Amazon (From original Sept 22 Preorder date, says By Dec31), Xbox (Says shipping by Dec 23), Costco (No Date but expecting end of Nov). I only want one. Thinking of keeping the Costco one and deleting the other two. I only want one, dont want to have to sell extras. Any reasons I should keep a second order as backup? If so, which one? Is it safe to trust Costco?

am with the amazon crowd who they have took payment but not shipped today. my mate orders his about 10 mins after I ordered mine and his gonna be delivered before 8pm tonight. no idea how they choose who gets there's and who doesn't

Yeah I am tracking my UPS truck now that is close to my neighborhood to deliver my other Series X from Amazon

I got the same thing. I called Amazon CS and they said they GUARANTEED delivery today. So either it got delayed or it's coming by 10pm tonight. Either way, Amazon fucking sucks.

I had zero issues with my launch ps4. I think Microsoft has dropped the ball some here and didn't see the shipping delays with covid-19 and everyone shopping online. That and the yields on the series x I imagine are not good with the low supply.
 
Any GAF got PS5 shipped from Amazon US? I reckon it should be shipped now if it's going to arrive on time on Thursday.
 
I'm gonna see if mine leaves the RIchmond, BC depot today if it gets to my local depot I'm going to see if I can pick up in person, otherwise it'll just sit there all day tomorrow for no reason.
 
There I am looking all happy at my door as Fedex starts to drive up. Then he drives right past me.

Hopefully it's in a different truck.
 
All is quiet on the Walmart front. Apparently Customer Service is still confident shipping will happen today for most people, but they cannot tell the actual status of any particular pre-order.
 
I had a friggin' Series S in my Walmart cart online and in between putting in my CC number and hitting submit, it went out of stock. What the hell good is putting something in your cart if you really don't have it? These online stores are trash.

Microsoft Store is a shit show as usual. Xbox All Access through Microsoft basically just redirects you back to the same page. I managed to snag a Series X in my cart but there's an error preventing me from checking out. Do I really have it or not?

This whole launch experience is garbage. It's not like I waited until the last minute in either case.

good to know, thanks. So it sounds like no one who pre-ordered from Target has a chance of getting their ps5 on launch day. Not a huge deal but kind of surprising. I just hope it arrives on Friday or Saturday so I can go balls deep during the weekend.

Mines arrived. Smaller than i I thought. Looks lots better in the flesh. The controller has surprised me ass well, feels realy nice.

Via Twitter or other sources, I have not read a single update saying an order has shipped yet from Target. Some people still have Nov. 12 or 13 - 18. Some have Nov. 16. I'm in the Nov. 13-18 camp with only a hold on my CC for the $.

The most consistent Target chat/phone rep will tell you it will shipped when released. Other answers vary. So far, just about all shipping based orders for both systems are not arriving on time in the U.S. The exception to this is Walmart who got SOME people their XBOXes a day early with no warning and others swinging in the wind.

I want to think this is Covid related, but, who the hell actually knows. Still, IF, they ship tomorrow night at some point, and arrive on Friday or Saturday, .. I'll be OK. If they don't ship by tomorrow night, better believe I'll be up at 1 AM trying to score a day 1 box from retail for pickup.

In my younger days I'd probably be in line too, but I'm getting too old for that shit. Godspeed

On the plus side I ordered an extra controller last night and already received it, lol. So in a way, I can hold next gen in my hand right now!

Despite Amazon saying i'd get the XSX on launch day, it went out for delivery today. It's expected to arrive tomorrow.

Doesn't really matter as other retailers fell through with the games deliveries..
 
My target XsX still says preparing shipment with a target date of the 16th.

This only makes me mad because they know it will only take about two days for it to reach me so they are waiting to ship it to hit the target date.. or at least that's how it goes in my head. 😂

Best Buy got me a controller on 10/30, ordered a ship from store surge protector last night, that's arriving today, ordered the Charging Station last night which should arrive Thurs along with Valhalla and MAYBE Spidey MM.

PS5, I wound up stuck with Target because I couldn't get into Gamestop and I tried for hours to get my Best Buy order to get into Checkout with no luck. I couldn't stay up until 3 AM trying it. I gave up at like 11:30 PM Eastern. I put in that Target order straight away at 7:38 PM Eastern and kept it just in case I couldn't get one anywhere else to go through. I think Amazon didn't even start yet at that point.

I'm also at a point where even midnight is a tall order. I'm tired from all the damn work and life things by the end of the night. Yay for being 44. Generations, at this age, mean something else.
 
Got my 6AM pick-up from Bestbuy. Have been downloading all morning. Just bought updated Control, wanna see how nice it looks and runs. Will dabble with some Monster Hunter and Doom Eternal too.
 
Amazon CS just told me they "sold out" of Xbox Series X's even tho I had an order and now it's not coming to my house apparently. Making it very clear that they lied to me earlier when they said they guaranteed that my Xbox would be here by 10PM.

Amazon sucks balls. I'm cancelling my Prime service and will never use them again.
 
just got an email from Target. my copy of Demon's that i ordered 9/18 has shipped and is arriving Wed, Nov 18. i have a tracking number of everything. so i guess i have to wait one more week for that. unfortunately i bought the console and game in two separate orders.

however, the PS5 itself still hasn't changed. i was able to pre order that from Target on 9/16. no updates on the console itself. lol im being very impatient.

UPS hasn't updated my tracking since 12:05 am and it's not showing Out for Delivery. Still In Transit. Not a good sign halfway through the day. Amazon order, in AZ.
