What is the status of your next-gen pre-order?

Walmart says my ps5 will be available after 6pm to pick up. I don't want to wait the whole day, is that just a placeholder till it gets closer? Never done Walmart pick up before
 
The Ultimate Launch Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales just charged to my account. Now I am waiting for the PS5 to do the same. Thursday is so close!

Forgot to mention this is from Amazon.

Amazon shipped my AC Vahala but not Demon Souls or PS5 yet.

Edit, as soon as I posted this my ps5 just changed to shipping soon and I can't change anything about the order :)
The Price of AC also dropped to $49 on ps5 so they refunded me $11 since I had prepaid with a gift card o.o

I don't think that most people will get their pre-orders on release day since they haven't shipped yet, unless they live very close to one of Best Buy's warehouses. There just isn't enough time; I don't think that Best Buy will use one-day shipping.
 
Good news to report: My Xbox finally shipped from Amazon. I guess some Xbox's are being held up. I talked to Amazon CS, yet again, but this time got a supervisor. They said that if you got an email this morning about a delay, don't fret. Your Xbox will ship in the next 24 hours at the very least. Unless you got an email with a date of December...then you're probably boned.

My Xbox Series X will be here on Thursday. I consider myself very lucky.
 
Feeling very fortunate for camping in front of Gamestop for what was a few hours to secure my in-store pickup, instead of worrying myself silly over a shipment. I'd hate to be someone who stressed over the online purchase at first, only to now be stressed over the actual arrival date.

Woo-hoo my PS5 was picked up. The delivery date moved up a lttle from Nov 18th to Nov 16th. Maybe once its in the UPS system it'll move up more.

just got a text from Amazon:

"Delivery Delay: Your Amazon package with Xbox Series X is still on its way, but arrive later than expected."
 
For me it's just a waiting game. We will see how long it takes for MS to ship my XSX. Hopefully it won't be Dec. 23rd!
May try my luck on getting a PS5 tonight.

It could definitely. My order doesn't seem to have a label yet and still show the 18th. Here's hoping you get some movement soon :)

Check using their Website instead. On my App, it only shows "Order Placed". On their Website, the first message I show is "Estimated Fri, Nov 13 - Web, Nov 18"., click inside that I get:
EmihlPSW4AU9pMR


Three different views. 1 very nothing happening on my phone, and two others on my PC's Web Browser. This will likely all change once the label is created and I can find it after the item is picked up by the carrier, and again after it ships.

I'm away from home and therefore can't view the website on my desktop. However, on my phone, the website displays the following:

well that was a waste of time contacting amazon. got nowhere with them. just saying it will be delivered today but says it's not dispatched or out for delivery.

seriously doubt it will actually arrive today. need to wait until tomorrow. fucking useless so they are

Mine still says "arriving tomorrow by 8 pm" I'm only a few hours away from the Jacksonville warehouse so it's possible they won't need to get it ready till much later in the day. I hope so anyway lol

Did you try clicking on "order details"? That is where mine says preparing to ship. My bank account also shows a pending charge.

The shipping company driver was suppose to deliver it yesterday for me. Still waiting, and no sign of anything. For Christ sake... I hope not to have issues with the delivery! :messenger_pouting:
 
I know console releases could be a nightmare for some distributers but they should have had these units in stock for a week and sent them out based on delivery times. These are not amateur websites.

If places that sell physical hardware and disks want to stay relevant they need to not give poor first impressions.
 
it's shocking that amazon can't handle these consoles. you've got smaller retailers having no problems. wish i had ordered from somewhere else. i'd cancel my PS5 pre order if i had any chance of getting it somewhere else.

Amazon charged for ps5. I am going to consider myself insanely lucky if I get both systems.
I'll be standing outside this time so ups doesn't throw it down the stairs
 
Apparently walmart won't update the website and charge until last minute but should arrive on time. At least that's what series x people said

I live literally an hour and thirty minutes away from Jacksonville and they delayed mine till Monday which sucks😭

Update:

Series X Plan A (Wave1 Amazon preorder in Sept): Spent the weekend waiting for funds to be withdrawn or a shipping notification. Then got the dreaded By Dec31 email on Monday night. No move since.
Series X Plan B (MSFT Xbox Store preorder yesterday): Original estimate by Dec 23. Status still Pending. 80%ish of the money still on hold.
Series X Plan C (Costco preorder yesterday): Original estimate Nov 23. Status still pending. 100% of funds on hold.

Playstation 5. (Gamestop in person preorder in Sept): Paid in full a few days ago. They said mine is there and waiting for pickup at 10am on Launch :)

3090: Couldn't even get a preorder

That's my hope as well. I'm still awaiting shipping label creation at this point. Just "Preparing to ship". I'm about 52 miles from an E-commerce distro, and less from New York City based regional centers. Could have something to do with that. The NJ Distro Center doesn't open until 9AM Eastern though.

Did you see any changes? I'm in the same boat, still not actually shipped, just sitting in Louisville, KY, unless it goes out early this morning i dont see it arriving on the 12th :(
