RetroMania Wrestling: Wrestlefest style game featuring Road Warriors, Zack Sabre Jr, Tommy Dreamer

I just want a tentative release date. They said summer 2020 originally. Passed and they didn't even say, "Whoops, our bad!"

I'll get excited once they have an actual release date. Much like how I refused to believe Final Fantasy VII (remake) wasn't a hoax until it was actually in stores.

Really looking forward to this one. Thanks Bullet Club Bullet Club for keeping this thread going. Feb's going to be an awesome month with this and Mario 3D World coming out.

Wrestlefest was one of my favorite games to play in the arcade as a youth, and this looks ok, but I just can't get over that most of this roster is a bunch of jobbers....

Looks neat, but wish they just had original wrestlers if this was the best real life lineup they could get.

To be frank, this probably was about the best they could do to get a few recognizable personalities, without having to pay huge licensing fees to WWE, AEW, or Impact.

Most of the wrestlers here would appeal to ardent enthusiasts, particularly those who have followed wrestling for 20 or more years. Likewise, the design of the game itself is meant to appeal to those who like arcade wrestling games from the 1990s. With that in mind, they have appropriately matched the roster to their intended audience.

I'm definitely a narrow audience. I mostly care for WWF spanning 98~2000.

That's why Fire Pro does it best. Make a good editor so ppl can create all that stuff.

Just to throw it out there,, I'm a fan of....

WWF up until mid 92
Territories/NWA/WCW up until 94
ECW late 93 to mid 98

...nothing afterwards

wwe battleground deal with it GIF

The AI is insane and the controls/gameplay beyond the striking is very unintuitive. I can't recommend it even to hardcore wrestling fans. Huge disappointment for me.
Plus no CAW and it's price makes it a hard buy.
Tried telling them CAW was needed for this type of game over a year ago but he wasn't having it.

im holding out on till a Switch physical release maybe.
I dont really like the roster. And they have no business calling it the sequel to WrestleFest.

but ill play any wrestling game tbh

Got this yesterday and I like it. However as compared to the original it's just....uncomfortably faster. And my god why are there so many tag matches?

Protip: For a cheap way to get through the modes use a guy with a solid submission move.
