I'm not. Look this game has been in production/preproduction for the better parts of at least 5-7 years. The marketing is on the level of that of a rockstar games production. To think this game will flop or be a disappointment is kinda crazy to me. Will it be perfect? No but what game is? Will it have bugs and performance issues? Sure it's a huge open world with lots going on so that should at least be acceptable. When GTA5 was released on the ps3 it had framerate issues and pop in issues but damn that was the benchmark for that generation hands down. CDPR didn't invest this much time, money, and effort for it to flop. Red dead 2 is my game of the generation, hopefully this tops it.
Also, CDPR has a pretty damn good track record from the last 3 games they've made, which have in my view become progressively better. That alone is enough for me to jump in without hesitating (only time that stance has burned me is TLOU2, but that's a whole different story).

welcome! So. Corpo, streed kid or nomad?
Corpo probably.

I've stayed mostly unhyped about this game cause I knew it would be ages before it was released. I've only just been looking at previews and videos and such, so I only have a vague idea of the story.

And that's the best way to approach it. 3 days from now we'll embark on a great journey of discovery. I can't believe we're so close. :messenger_hushed:

The consensus seems to be around 20-25 hours of main story, and a total of 45-50 hours doing all the side-quests plus main story (completionist playthrough).

not all the side quests at all. just want to clarify that. there is a shit ton of sidequests is what i've seen. no one publicly finished them all. main story seems around that yes.

25h for me is kinda disappointing

Why? Are you going to play only the Main Story?

Main + Side Quests seems to be about 50 hours. The Pace fo the game seems to be excellent. This is very fine for me.

Im going to make 2 playthroughs (normad + corpo), so at least it will be 100 hours for me.

I like long games if they are good, and have a good story, that's all. I wasn't complaining about the witcher length, and witcher 2 was much to short for me.

It is not that its bad, but taking 150h from the wild hunt felt great, I hoped for the same here.

Trans people are absolutely welcome. I know a handful of trans folks - including one of my best friends - and some of them are long-time CDPR fans. This outrage is entirely manufactured.
Have they said anything about what's going on Era? Like their opinions?

Honestly I have the same feelings.

So are there still people around here who are as excited to deep into this world for welll over 100 hours and enjoy every second of it and not compain about how filled the streets are or how it performs? I know that I'm gonna play this again when the next gen patch comes out and I can actually buy a ps5 lol

you can spend 150h in this game. the main story is shorter but it has many more side quests than tw3

Wait for reviews or playthroughs.

CDPR underestimated TW3 playtime.
They've said Cyberpunk 2077's main quest is shorter than TW3's, which is what?, 50 hours? I would be highly surprised if they had cut the Main quest by half .

On top of that that, you have side quests and street stories.
And high replkayability to top it all.

Wait for reviews.

Yeah, I can't wait, my PS5 is ready

People are talking a lot longer than that in terms of side missions/content given the amount of them. The Dreamcast guy said over 100 hrs most likely.

man they sold over 30mil copies of witcher 3 no? I'm gonna be quite dissapointed if the main storyline is only 20 - 25 hours.. I loved the really long main quest of the witcher 3.. Witcher was over 40 hours that was great. I dont think I care for the replayability to be honest with another character . Its just not the same as a longer main quest.

Why is that? Just curious. Neither am I, primarily because I've grown to despise game journalists but also because I'm playing this game regardless.

I don't want to be spoiled to be honest I've seen enough leaks now to know I'm going to love it and I just can't wait to play it.

And I know journalists just wanna spoil shit so they can be first to get there scoops out.

Plenty of side quests apparently. Bear in mind that people are throwing these completion figures around, but some of them played the game on easy to be 'first' I would imagine unless you're planning the same, this isn't going to be a weekend retreat.

Good lord have y'all seen the cyberpunk thread over on Reset? It's insane.

The whole site is insane. They cant get over the fact that Gal Gadot, an Israeli and an ex-IDF member, supports Israel! Thats their worldview.
They are nutjobs. Theirs is a miserable existence

I pre-ordered the physical copy for PS4 for 39,90€. Not too shabby price. But my hype level is actually pretty low even though TW3 is my favorite game of all time.

I'll think I'll wait for the next gen patch. Well at least for few patches that'll fix the bugs because I'm quite sure there are lots of them.
I have so many games to play on PS5, so I'm not rushing to play Cyberpunk 2077.

A recent example is The Last of Us 2. It was way longer than it should have been. It literally felt like the game was going to end several times, only to keep going, and going. Pacing was way off.

I think that is where open world games are better though. Easier to put it down, and return to it. You can pick at what you want to do.

LoU2 needs a director's cut. It doesn't flow right.

Do we know exactly what the NG patch is going to be vs the BC upgrade playing it now on PS5? Have they announced yet?
