Sony is removing Cyberpunk from PlayStation Store

What part of the words legal liability is not getting through to you? Ain't no company in the world gonna sell something for long that'll get them sued and/or tarnish their brand, and you're going to be permanently disappointed if you think that's a reasonable demand.
That is the honest to god problem with this world today. Companies are scared to do anything that isn't 100% safe and to protect the brand. I get the reasoning why but it's going to be at the expense of our freedom. Trust me.

So do you have to request a refund or are they just going to refund digital purchases? I am about 15 hours into the PS5 version...well the BC version and have had no crashes or major issues. Bugs yes, plenty of them...but nothing game breaking.

Didn't sony approve this game for sale on their console in the first place. Lawsuits will probably be in the works now from one or both parties if they aren't already.
Yeah, but CDPR circumvented the certification process by promising to have this fixed at or before launch, hence the delay even after "going gold".

And now that's come back to bite them as well.

This fuck up is even worse than any game ever. Even worse than Anthem and No Man's Sky. That's how bad the situation is for CDPR.

Certification doesn't prevent games like this launching. Certification just means it ticks the boxes of not bricking consoles, has trophies/achievements, works with controllers, etc.

i love 2020, we had many never seen before shit_shows and this got to be the best one, what a time to be alive, amazing.

That's called a deflection. I would have loved to see other turds like this get delisted.

It's clear as day to see the bs you lot are spewing, because you're not demanding the same treatment with other games, you're just using it as an excuse to defend CDPR
I don't own a PS4 or Xbox One so im not demanding anything. Thats not my fight, I don't own those consoles anymore.

CDPR will redeem themselves with their next game

Wow, when was the last time a big aaa game was removed from xbox or the playstation store?
Never. Everything is fine though right bros?
this is so sad

a lot of hard work went into making this game

game devs can look at this as a lesson i guess

you gotta make your games interesting and engaging before anything else

i've been watching cyber punk vids on youtube and they boil down to cruising in a car and that's where it stops being exciting
W..what? This is not why it was pulled.

I bought Godfall off of PSN but I can't get a refund on that and that game is big pile of shit....I have twice the amount of time in Cyberpunk PS than Godfall and have had less issues than in Godfall. Where is my refund for Godfall Sony?

You're not being honest at all. You're probably saying that to inflamate the case(you're not the first one). Anyone who trully played Skyrim at launch knows how broken it was.
About 10% less broken than NV lol.

Yeah.

You don't deserve a refund just because you bought a game you didn't bother to research

Sounds like CDPR broke a promise that was made during the certification process.

Sony would have been aware of the problems but CDPR would have told them it would have alll been fixed by the day one patch at launch day and that never happened. To make matters worse CDPR then promised refunds for all customers without first consulting Sony and Microsoft.

This is one of the biggest fuck ups the industry has seen since ET. The PS4 version shouldn't return to the store until it's actually fixed, when that will be nobody knows.

Although I haven't played this game yet so I can't 100% gauge how bad it really is yet still it feels this could have been done to several companies before but wasn't(looking at you Bethesda). But SM is ramped up 10x even in the last 4 years so it's even more a pile on effect now given the hype.

Remember guys, Sony are not the heroes here.

They certified it for release, they wanted those bucks too.
We can't be sure they did, or that they did without being threatened with loss of sales.

From QA staff I've spoke with decades ago it was common place for publishers to play one side off against the other - with semi unready games - and the platform holder being left with the choice of all the sales going to the other platform, or certifying under duress and banking on the publisher getting patches to fix the game to a good state within two weeks of release.

Looking at the marketing deal Xbox had with the game, and that XsX version is native and not B/C, Sony were never in a position to negotiate a PS4 version day and date that was in a certifiable state. But as I said previously, the Epic vs Apple lawsuit has probably lead to playstation and xbox changing their certification policy, with the final signoff being the game's publisher - so they aren't seen to be overly controlling access to the console market in the way Apple is with IOS.

it's bug/crash/performance all combined for PS4 players. Godfall just sucks.

I remember Unity in 2015 being horrendously broken at launch. Single digits frame rates around Paris, numerous crashes, game breaking bugs, and the like. So broken Ubisoft had to essentially replace the entire game as a patch. So broken that Ubisoft had to give away dlc for free.

Shame Sony didn't have this stance in 2015
Well, Ubisoft didn't apologize and tried to shaft Sony by having everyone go to PSN for a refund and making them look bad. Not exactly the best news when your new console has just arrived.

fallout 76 never got taken off either. same with anthem

does that not scream bandwagon effect. a fad, and a trend to any of you?

And the topic is about Cyberpunk being delisted

if you want to talk about the H:ZD port then go start a thread or bump one of the old ones
The topic is also the action Sony took, their reasons for it, and consequently how it'd be laughable to sing praises of them considering their actions in the past, involving other games.

Just you wait till they start pulling games that don't have enough BLM/Trans representation to their liking. Or from companies with controversial employee Twitter accounts. We are living in a dystopia, my friend
This is not why they removed It. I despise SJWs but this is ridiculous.
