Sony is removing Cyberpunk from PlayStation Store

Whatever dude. The company is top tier and make some of the best games to ever grace any platform. They are #1 in graphics tech and their art team is some of the most talented of any developer out there..

Give them some slack and let them fix the port.

Nah. Don't get me wrong I respect the developers. CDPR though? They outed themselves as the typical corporate they are. They just had the sneaky moves to capitalise on all the bad moves AAA publishers made and got you sheep flocking like no tomorrow

man... i really feel sad for Mike Pondsmith. He gave cdpr his life work after years of declining countless licensing rights. Yeah, they'll patch it and make DLC next year, but first impression counts and it's not here right now.

and they made him a ton of money, and the game is STILL better than the majority of titles released this year. Im sure he's fine. in my opinion there isn't one title this year that's gonna make me be like "oh golly let me play that instead of cyberpunk" lol nope. the other shit doesn't look that damn good;

not miles morales ( i mean it's cool but it's spiderman), not demon souls (which is a ps3 game), not assassins creed valhalla(c'mon), not TLOU2 (nah).

not one of those games. and you guys act like you have some goat shit to play. fuck outta here lol

doom eternal was dope though. respect to doom.

BTW.

That opens a new precedent for better quality games on PS consoles.

I hope every time that a publisher tries to release an unplayable game on PlayStation Sony does the same.

Well you talking about a game that doesn't exists on PS5... you are playing a shit BC version.

I just checked No Man Sky was never unplayable.
A shit BC version? We have people 50 hours into the game with no crashes on PS5. I have 15 hours with no crashes on PS5. How is it shit? It plays great. It looks good and it is a fantastic game. Have you even played it? Yes it has bugs and glitches but it is not broken and it is very playable on the PS5 even running in BC mode.

Both tlou2 and demon's souls are rated higher than Cyberpunk. Go whimper somewhere else, cd Projekt red fumbled hard bro!

I chase after great story, good gameplay, and top tier graphics. CDPR delivers that in spades. I'm not going to crucify them for their mistakes even if it affected the PC. I literally love the company and their talent.

Should have just released it on PC now and console next year.

Well, after the Chinese Communist Party support on GOG, CDPR can get bent. They changed, man. Sold out.

SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.

Is this a first for a AAA, major high profile title? When they deliberately hid pictures and footage from gamers, I knew something was wrong. Should of been PC and current generation only and this is why. Sure, CDPR made their money, but was the potential damage done to their reputation, Sony's relationship and new franchise worth it?

Well there a night a day difference between the OneX and PS5 version I played both, 60 locked on PS5 why you think they tried hiding even the OneX version for reviews you know the one that it was marketed around. Never played the pro version has to be worse than OneX

It is still a shit BC version.
C'mon you are playing on PS5... you deserves better... you didn't pay $500 for play rushed games with tons of bugs.

Sony made a huge mistake allowing that game pass on QA by day one patch promises... thanks Sony is now fixing that mistake.

I will support CDPR but they need to step back and finish their game before release it on PlayStation.

PlayStation gamers deserves quality.

I bet they wish they had just canceled the PS4 and Xbox versions. The backlash they would have received from cancelling those versions would have been severe, but in the end it would have blown over. This debacle may haunt them for much, much longer. This is a historical screw up for CDPR.

Because millions have already bought it for last gen consoles and are getting an unacceptable experience.

If CDelisted Red want to repair their tattered reputation, it starts with the last gen console versions

Buying a next gen console that they may not even be able to preorder is not a solution

arkham night got pulled from steam due to performance issues

demon souls isn't doing anything groundbreaking, i mean...it's fine and safe. but it's nothing anyone needs to play....lets be honest. especially since it's a remake of a game we've already played.

it's not that "next thing". it's a souls game....not even trying to hate but thats what it is. like if i showed my non gaming dad demon souls, he'd get bored. Cyberpunk he actually was hella impressed with even as someone who doesn't play. that says...something.

TLOU2...Cyberpunk is more interesting than TLOU2. I think thats the case for...most people. hence why TLOU2 didn't generate nearly the excitement this did. and that was a naughtydog game.

im not gonna stop playing this game, for those games. you can have fun with that though, seems same old to me. but maybe you like that?

The good devs that Microsoft has releases good games. The bad devs that Microsoft has releases bad games. Thats a talent problem

But Bethesda (like CDPR) don't have a talent problem, they have a management problem. Microsoft can solve a management problem
Fam, Microsoft is one big management problem. Have you not seen the state of their First Party?

I am thinking they should ditch last gen, focus on PC, PS5 and xbox series

They can't, there are millions of physical copies on store shelves out there. But Sony's unprecedented action could have a domino effect. What happens when big retailers also remove the PS4 version from their stores, return all remaining copies and reimburse all purchased copies, no questions asked? This could ruin CDPR.

This crash just seems so bizarre. To go from The Witcher 3 to this dumpster fire.

The Witcher 3 got so many awards and was so popular even a TV series was made and then this game comes out with its incredibly long development time and crashes.

Like what happened? How do they go from such a high to such a low? My guess is that The Witcher 3 benefited from being a sequel. The franchise was gradually getting bigger and better and so when the third game started development art assets were already there, people were familiar with bringing over existing systems and just tweaking them.

This was a totally new franchise from the ground up.

It runs at a locked 60 on the PS5. Crowd density is a bit lower than on Xbox, but it's absolutely playable on the PS5.

It might be off the store for months. With this move news will spread even faster of how bad the game is on PS4.

CDPR went full retard with this release in every way.

Sorry buy a Xbox... we don't want this quality level on our consoles.

When CDPR do a proper version with most of the issues fixed we will welcome them again.

It is not a ultimatum... it is a warning... do your job right.

This game was to be released with a custom super fx chip bundled with the game but EVERYONE and their mother wanted to buy digital.

So this is all your fault you lazy cunts not wanting to walk to the store.

Whilst I enjoyed my time with the game (PS5) it's shocking it released in the state it did. The only other game in recent memory that comes close was Arkham Knight on the PC.

I understand it passed cert as it's not about the quality of the game, bugs etc, but both MS and Sony should of told them to get fucked with the state it's in, not just let them release it thinking they'll fix it (CDPROJEKTRED's own words) before release.

It'll be intresting to see if MS follow the same stance (they should really, marketing rights or not).

Question though, how did they throw Sony under the bus?

I had enough crashes (and game-halting bugs) on my PS5 to stop playing last week.

Sony didn't seem to be all that bothered about the state of the game but as soon as CDPR sent the pitchforks their way, they set fire to that bridge.

CDPR played us once but played themselves twice.

Hey at least Assassin's Creed actually works

like I said I'll take a lord of the ring movie that froze 8 times
over the golden compass that played without a hitch.

lord of the rings is still the better film. I'd have to be artistically devoid to not understand or see that based on the technical issues that have little to do with the art itself.

assassins creed is more of a waste of life being that it isn't trying to do anything special. fuck that.

They have 23 studios, more than any other publisher? And half of them I would consider being good dev teams. I think their First Party is doing fine now

For people defending CDPR, shame on you. The Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, but they don't get a pass for the sh*tshow 2077 is. Even on a high-end PC, the number of immersion-breaking bugs is outrageous. Quests that don't complete, a broken inventory system, terrible AI - it's a mess.

The shame of it is that it is SO close to greatness, but the state it's in is truly unforgivable. I feel so bad for the devs. That said, I hope MS follows suit and pulls it from the XBOX Store.

CD Project Red shifted a bit of the Cyberpunk outrage onto Sony with the refund statement. They are trying to get consumers to invest $500 into their console and did not want their refund policy to be the talk over the holidays. I would imagine they're pissed.

This. It was bad the CDPR wanted to shift the blame to Sony. Sony is not having any of it.
