God of War, Ghost of Tsushima or Horizion Zero Dawn?

Ghost>>>>>> >GoW>Horzion

I was the biggest critic of Ghost but the game proved me wrong.

I am talking pure fun gameplay here.

Miles would be a bit below Ghost on my list. I really enjoyed it... it looks incredible, has a good tight story and doesn't drag at all but it doesn't have the epic boss fights of 2018 SM and some of the dialogue is a bit too 'on the nose'.

I'm a huge insomniac fan and love Ratchet & Clank, their gameplay is top tier and always fun. Swinging around the city is enough to keep me playing for a long time.

Ratchet for me its all about the upcoming PS5 release, which would switch up a gear my interest in getting the console...otherwise I am only just getting into the world of PS4 Pro....so no hurry
 
God of War is one of the best games ever made imo

the other 2 are very good open world games, a notch or two above Assassins Creed
 
I mean,you need to play all three of those if they interest you at all....so the only question is which one first....and the answer to that would be,it doesn't really matter,lol.
 
I say God of War. At a certain point its just more action vs the other 2.

That's like trying to choose between 3 hot women.

But if I had to go in order I would play HZD, Ghosts, and GoW last. GoW is so good it can ruin other games if you play them right after. Horizon had the best combat though. They're all damn good.

If you never played GOW first of all where the hell you been, second , watch youtube vid that gets you kind of caught up on Kratos story.

God of War or Ghost of Tsushima.

God of War does world and story better. It's big enough but not open world.

Ghost of Tsushima might have better combat, I'm not sure, but it's world is enormous and the story has the same problems that plague all open-world stories.

My pick would be God of War.

Ghost of Tsushima is really nothing like Ninja Gaiden. Two very different types of games. All three games are fantastic and personally I think Ghost got lower reviews than it deserved. It would first come down to your gameplay preference. All three games have elements of exploration with Ghost and Horizon being open world while God of War is wide-linear. Meaning it has large areas to move around in but there are clear constraints and disconnects from one map to the next. It's a half step away from open world.

God of War has a very bruiser, hack and slash style of combat but it's not mindless. Horizon is much more about ranged combat and more fast paced than the other two. Ghost is more methodical and lower paced. It often requires you to think and plan a lot more than the other two. There is also the settings. God of War is a fantastical setting with gods and mythic creatures. Horizon is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. Ghost is a much more realistic, historical setting. All three have RPG elements to them to varying degrees with Horizon having a very BioWare feel to it.

Overall though, God of War is just the better game between them. It feels the most polished and has the best story. I went through a greater range of emotions with it than the other two though Horizon did make me cry at the end. But I would say save the best for last.

Play Horizon: Zero Dawn first. It's the oldest of the three and the cheapest last I checked. Plus it has an expansion so it will keep you busy for a long while.
Then Ghost of Tsushima. It was one of those games that I thought I wasn't going to like but was so satisfying once I settled in. There is a multiplayer mode if you need a break from its single player.
Top it off with God of War. To me, it's the best PlayStation exclusive since The Last of Us and probably one of the best games of all time.
 
Ghost for me God of War just dragged on after 20 hours and I stopped. Horizon had shit combat one of the best worlds and lore I have ever seen but the combat was terrible. The trailers sold it as a western rpg and it was a twitch shooter. Give me a western. Rpg version and I would be in love.
 
Horizon Zero Dawn is my favourite PS4 game. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Great setting, story & gameplay. Stunning graphics with incredible HDR. It's the whole package. Love that game.

I'd play God of War next. It's a great game as well but I thought it had a bit of a difficulty curve & the enemy variety was quite lacking.

Ghost of Tsushima is beautiful. It's swordplay is sublime. Sadly it's story is a bit of a wet fart.

They're all worth playing but that would be my ranking of the 3.
 
God of War is the best of the lot. But that doesn't mean other two are bad games. Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero down are solid 9.5/10 games -- better than 90% of the content out there.

You should play all three of them.
 
I choose God of War, despite of not being "open world" it has way better exploration compare other two which are "open world".
 
The best game of the 3 is God of War and it's honestly not even close as far as I'm concerned... however, people for some reason really seem to love GoT, which I regard as a kind of fun samurai action game with nothing else there. God of War is telling a cool story in an interesting way, GoT does neither of those things. But if you'd prefer to hack people up as a samurai and that's all you care about, you're probably going to like that more I'd think.

Either way, both are very worth playing. GoW is on another level, a legit game of the generation candidate.

I couldn't get through Horizon. I think it's good, but not great. That comes in 3rd place, for me.

God of War has the best gameplay and story and much tighter pacing due to not being open world.

All 3 are amazing though.

Since I'm sick of open world games, I'd vote God of War. Sure it's pretty linear and you're basically going from corridor to corridor but they're gorgeous corridors.
 
Didn't playt Ghost but Horizon is a much better and interesting game than God of War, in fact, i would recommend skipping God of War, mediocre ass game.

Haven't played it but watched an entire let's play and it looked pretty damn linear to me. Sure a bit of backtracking to find stuff but it is linear. I don't mean that in a bad way though. Couldn't stand MGSV and I'm glad GOW is still a linear set-piece galore popcorn fest.
 
I enjoyed horizon zero dawn the most. I don't consider it to be one of the best games ever. It's actually a very simple game, basically assassin's creed with some different ingredients, but very entertaining.

I guess most of the people will tell you to play gow, as it's highly praised, but I wasn't amazed.

The best suggestion is to skip all of them and play Bloodborne, that's the best ps4 exclusive by far. If you have finished it, play it again. And again.
 
Finished God Of War > Made it through the first section of Tshushima > Gave up on Horizon shortly after the game world opens up. Bonus points to God of War as I was never a fan of the series prior.
 
Hard to choose between God of War and Ghost of Tsushima. Both were GOTY for me in their respective release windows.

HZD is good but not up to the quality of the other two games IMO.

Do you enjoy multiplayer co-op? Ghost has Legends Mode, which is fun as hell.

You haven't even played it? Lol please stop talking, you're embarrassing yourself

God of War 2018 is a hub based design, it is not corridor linear.
