the great thing about this thread is that everyone agrees to the simple unspoken truth about guitarists: there is no 'greatest guitarist' or 'greatest solo' because there have been so many incredible players over the past century that there is literally a virtuoso for every genre and thus a great guitarist for every personal taste.
