Why is there a PlayStation logo in the announcement of the PC version? Why is the SIE logo nowhere to be seen?
What is that screenshot even supposed to come from? It's dated 6 September and it looks like a Tweet, but it's obviously impossible it is one?
If it just says "available", it strongly implies that picture is supposed to be released when the games are already out. So you think they will be out in 5 days from now, with zero heads-up?
PC releases & marketing etc of PS games do include Playstation logos, it's one of the first thing you see booting up Days Gone. But it's the wrong one in the picture, that's the blue PS4 trade dress & not the new black & white version. If that's an oversight from Sony marketing or a 4chan troll remains to be seen. The 6th September date might indicate a scheduled tweet waiting to get published. The "available" bit? Maybe they do a Halo Collection and roll out a new game to the collection every xx days till December? They somehow forgot to remove the PlayStation logo?
they barely ported their good games to the ps4One day Sony will port a good game to the PC.
I'd be happy with either option. If they put the work in to improve textures, add dualsense support and give me whole new trophy lists for each game I'd happily pay (for the 3rd time).Doubtful, when horizon came out on pc it ran with higher res textures and better frame rate and ps5 only just got a 60fps mode not the higher textures, days gone only got 60fps, where pc got higher textures as well, although knowing sony there could be a £10 upgrade for 60fps, dual sense support, and 3d audio
Imagine being hurt that more gamers are able to enjoy these games
Why are you upset over PS games coming to PC?
Not here in Germany.Actually the Uncharted 123 Collection was free for all PS4 users too.
Back in spring 2020 when they started the whole play at home free games thing.
Glad you liked it, but i just didn't enjoy Uncharted 4.
Horizon and Days Gone came much faster and i'm pretty sure we will see Ghosts very soon. Day1 Pc releases have a huge advantage for Sony. They spends insane amounts of money on marketing their AAA games and this would push pc sales massively. Not gonna happen too soon i guess, but when enough games came for Pc, enough PS5s are sold and the hardcore fans are used to it, i'm sure Sony will make it.
So Dec. 7th? Sounds good
Many reasons, the industry is becoming so homogeneous and boring due to the lack of exclusives.
Exclusives are PlayStations biggest strength and now they are giving them away, this is an indicator that competition has failed and that Sony no longer feel compelled to provide compelling exclusive content.
For instance, we lost MLB exclusivity, Mm is not making new exclusives, we lost access to Zenimax games in the future and several studios were downsized or shuttered.
The response to these losses has not been to buy a few or even many talented studios to compensate PS customers but to give away the remaining exclusives we have...... despite the fact we are paying MORE now than ever and Sony are more profitable than they have ever been.
Meanwhile we have to look at Xbox buying every damned studio they can get their hands on.
Nintendo NEVER put their games on PC and reinforced the mental connection between Mario, Zelda and their other franchises and their consoles.... they started by bundling Mario bros with every Nes, then the 3rd game sold 17 million on its own. Now it sells 40+ million and moves hardware.....unfortunately PlayStation management never had the patience and never provided the proper marketing to make such an impact.
Now Horizon is just a multiplat.... the prestige is gone.
Limiting access and making these games a privilege of buying into PlayStation hardware gives these games prestige and increases their perceived value. Putting them on PC, does the opposite.
This will be a treat for the PC community. However, I still wait patiently for Gran Turismo and MLB The Show on PC. I still have the faith in you, Jimmy boy!
Relax, I don't think anyone here is being mean, it's just that he has become somewhat famous on the forum due to his impassioned and strident views on the topic of Playstation games on PC, so we're just having a little fun with it.
For the record, I think his views have a lot of logic to them, but Jim Ryan seems to want to go all in, so we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out over the course of the PS5's lifetime.
That too, is on my list. I didn't get the PS4 version because I am a patient man.Ghost of Tsushima is the one I'm really waiting for. I think it'd be a big hit too.
Is Uncharted 1 really that bad? I've only played 2 and Legacy, and enjoyed them both. I'm a sucker for these "Indiana Jones travels the world on adventures" types of games, especially right now when actually travel is almost impossible. I'm ready to give 1 a chance.

Just very dated... ND was in a bit of chaos at the time and didn't have the time or resources they have now.

cause it won'tI don’t get how people won’t think it will kill alot of the Playstation business.

I mean as a consumer I don't see that anything you just said benefits me. I suppose if I confused my own value as a human with owning a playstation console maybe I'd be upset.
I do find it hilarious that people think sticking a title on a PC that can easily cost twice to in my case ten times the amount as the Sony console as lowering perceived value of a product... I mean I'm sorry to say but even after the PS5 patch horizon is simply put a superior experience on PC thanks to the increased detail and frames, the cheaper experience is on the console, that's why you can afford it, and I suspect has a hand in why this upsets you.
In going to point out that Microsoft stopped making interesting exclusives long before they started to release things on PC. As a counter point they have actually started to release more interesting content (as in some actual games worth playing) recently SINCE they started releasing on PC, did people forget the majority of the Xbox One years or something? Ya know the time Microsoft had "no games" and didn't release stuff on PC.
So Germany got the better deal you say. Got it.Not here in Germany.
For whatever reason we got "Knack 2" in exchange![]()
Loved this collection on my ps4 pro, especially no 2. For me, it's the best game out of all of them.
Fantastic more people get to experience this now.
I don’t get how people won’t think it will kill alot of the Playstation business. Same thing would happen to Nintendo if they started releasing on PC. Day 1 releases on PC, would take away so much from Playstation and Nintendo.
You have such a narrow a limited view of world and business.
Especially at a time when game production costs are so big.
The first thing to consider is that Son is only releasing these games on PC after s significant amount of time.
They are waiting for these games to lose most of their value in the PS platform, and only then releasing them on the PC.
This enables Sony to reap all the value of brand attachment on the PS platform. And then, by releasing it later on PC, to have more clients, increase the fan base.
For example, by releasing HZD on PC it added millions of new players to the franchise. And now that a new game is announced, those new players are interested in playing the new game, righ now.
So these new fans of the game are more likely to buy a PS5. Even if they know that the new Horizon will be released 2 or 3 years after, on PC.
The other thing to consider is that most of the work is already done. So releasing a PS game on PC is a cheap way to increase sales and ad revenue.
Maintaining these games as exclusives on the PS platform, is leaving millions of dollars on the table. Money that Sony can't afford to lose in an age when game budgets are still increasing.
Look at Days Gone, a game that barely broke even on the PS platform. But by releasing it on the PC, Sony just made a few millions of extra profit. Not only that, they increased brand awareness and user fan base.
Now a game that was almost a failure on the PS platform, and had little chance of a sequel, became profitable. And Sony might just change it's mind, and consider that a sequel is justified.
In short, by releasing these games on the PC, Sony makes more money and increases it's costumer base.
This means Sony has more money to invest in future games. And it means that there's less risk of failure, because the amount of potential costumers as increased significantly.
I dont agree with having a huge advantage for Sony. Just like if Nintendo started releasing day 1 or at all on PC.
They are console makers, not just publishers.
Thing is both Sony and Nintendo have done more than fine being console exclusive for decades.
If they lose day 1 exclusives to PC, some people, not all. Maybe 10-20% maybe more or maybe less, will start buying PC’s instead of Playstations. Or People who have PC’s and Playstations wont need need to buy a Playstation. Whether its 10-20% of Playstation owners, it will happen…
Then Sony will lose alot of 3rd party sales to Steam/ Epic instead of those same people buying games on the Playstation. They make a huge amount of money from 3rd party games on Playstation. This is how Sony survives and is the biggest in the industry. That and having Exclusive games. Same as Nintendo.
Imagine PS6 launch and people can’t get hold of a PS6. They‘ll just buy the games on the PC day 1 right? It just takes away from the Console.
What they are doing now is fine. Basically it gives them 2 lots of sales, double dippers. They will lose double dippers if they do same day 1 release on PC.
Yeah if Ghosts comes out in the end of 2022//2023 that will be fine.
Theres still like 20+ exclusives from Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank, Spider-Man, God of War, TLOU1 & 2, Gravity Rush, Until Dawn, Etc Theres loads of games so I doubt Sony needs to release there latest games just yet
they can't give out a great game when they don't have one in the first placeI'd much rather them give a 4K/120 fps patch for PS% than give these PC peasants a great game.

PC users are not PlayStation customers... they are not spending in the areas that make PlayStation the big money.
Nintendo understands that exclusives are to attract people into your system and meant to be a unique selling point.
Steam and Epic get their cut out of every sale and it makes far less money to sell on PC than a single sale on the PS platform.
Nixxes was a waste of a purchase and that time and energy could have gone to buying a real game making studio and adding value to PlayStation...instead they decided to diminish it.
I have been mulling over moving completely to Nintendo as my main platform, due to their authenticity when they present something as exclusive...they do not lie to their customers and seem to have at least a modicum of respect.
they can't give out a great game when they don't have one in the first place
Cmon bro, you can't really believe that. You mean God of War, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Spiderman were never meant to make huge money. What?.....NO. Just NO.Exclusives from PS are great because they were never meant to make huge money
What are those areas? Last I checked digital game sales made up like 60% of their revenue.PC users are not PlayStation customers... they are not spending in the areas that make PlayStation the big money.
That's just BS.
The moment someone buys a game from a company, they become costumers.
And the more games Sony sells on PC, the more money these costumers will give to Sony.
Arguing that PC gamers are not costumer, because they can only buy a couple of games, today, is just disingenuous.
