Looking for some great obscure 80s/90s movies

Some pure guiltty pleasure films here.

Falling Down (1993). Arguably a movie even more relevant now than ever.

Warlock (1989). I always liked this movie back in the day. I think Julian Sands and Richard E Grant hamming it up just made it so watchable.

Heartbreak Ridge (1986).

Tremors (1990)

All of the hell-yes-watch-these-now.

Return to Oz
Flight of Dragons
The Dark Crystal
Labyrinth
Krull

Damn the 80s just had too many great movies.
We have watched 3 out of 5 of those. Missed Flight of Dragons and Krull.

Other 3 are all top tier though, not sure if Labrynth counts as obscure, if it does both my kids are well educated in it.

A few more movies that seem to be forgotten

Can't count how many times we caught this on cable back in the day. Kind of an early 90s Karate Kid clone w/ hockey and in-line skating. You got Seth Green being very Seth Green, and Jack Black is hilarious in an early role.

Some great suggestions on this page.

Have to give a special shout-out to Falling Down, Little Shop, Airborne, The Pest and Only the Strong. Everyone should see all those movies at least once.

Would add Wishmaster and Critters to Warlock.
Innocent Man to Runaway
and Wanted: Dead or Alive to The Hitcher recommendation

Going to go on the other side of The Black Hole and a little outside the 90s
It's still got that 90s banter and tone. And Sarah Polley.
transition to the 2000s

Some great recommendation's so far, here's a few of mine.

The man with two brains (1983)

The Explorers (1985)

Innerspace (1987)

Mother fuckin Ice Pirates!
The Money Pit
Explorers
Meet the Feebles (Peter Jackson!)
Bad Taste (Also Peter Jackson!)

Revisiting some memorable comedies that I remember liking .

Three Amigos (1986)

Trading Places (1983)

Spies Like Us (1985)

Gung Ho (1986)

Scrooged. (1988)

Major League (1989)

UHF

The 80's were absolutely staggering for comedy - it was pretty much a Comedy Golden Age back then. This isn't even touching half of the good stuff that came out of that era.

Honestly, I really love the effects that were done in the 80's. For me it hits a lot harder than most computer generated stuff today

Le Dernier Combat aka The Last Battle (1983)

Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland movies were a big genre in the first half of the 80s. Usually, they were Nuclear Holocaust in origin. This one isn't, although the exact nature of the disaster isn't specified.
What, you don't speak French? That's ok. Neither does anyone in this movie. They don't speak at all.

Trust me, bro

Track this down somehow

What a wild ride

Getting to the tail end of '91 and finally got around to this.

Wtf was that? I was questioning everything through this movie. So fucked up.

Was surprised to see a few really famous faces in it too. Not sure how i missed this as a kid.

Good recommendation
