luckily the service will have games from Activision blizz. Bethesda ,Ms, EAand many others
Would be interesting to see what the poll results would be if those were all included.

I can't speak for any mass polls, but it'd certainly elevate GP's value for me and my circle.
I might actually end up hosting a Family GP plan if/when that becomes official as well.
Well, if cod costs 70$ on PS, GPU is 5$ more expensive a month, so 60$ for a year.Whats costs more? Playing cod through a subscription until the next release or buying a copy?
Many PS players also have a gaming PC or a Xbox. The question being asked is very strange.
"46% of PlayStation gamers in the US indicated the inclusion of Activision titles in Game Pass would make them consider subscribing to the Xbox subscription service"
Game Pass isn't available to PlayStation gamers. So the question that should have been asked to PS gamers is "Would you purchase an Xbox console and subscribe to Game Pass if Activision titles were included in the subscription". It isn't simply a matter of "subscribing".
Why? Their market is growing: Hardware sales are supply constrained by active userbase (PSN MAU) has yearly increases and demand for hardware seems very high.also kinda makes it harder for Sony to launch their own competitive FPS before the xbox market split grows.

You're in for a rude awakeningIn 2025 when CoD still isn’t on gamepass it will be another argument
I betYou're in for a rude awakening
Black hawk downAccording to this community, Bloodborne has sold 50 million copies while the biggest games on the planet like Fortnite, CoD and all the sports games basically don't exist. Also Nintendo Switch is a bomba.
The funny thing is, i made a post yesterday, jokingly saying, I am going to report him.

Unless that IP does the twice as much money on PlayStation than on Xbox. You don't spend 70 billion on properties to cut its earnings later. They didn't do that with Minecraft. Sony will also not stop releasing Destiny properties on other platforms.Yup. Until current contracts run out. Then, maybe a few cash cows will stay multiplatform for up to a few years. But then those games are going to be Microsoft only. You don't buy properties to let your competition have access to them, that's not how business works.

Love how people were celebrating the idea of call of duty (and overwatch) going exclusive to xbox when this was announced to now pivoting to gamepass day 1 being the big game changer.

All these companies are doing is making the most money out of their properties. MS and Sony are getting quite platform agnostic right now.
Depends on when/if the deal closes. If it closes this year, MW2 will also launch on Game Pass, if it's next year, it'll be that.
Did they actually ask gamers? It doesn't say it here:

Haha brilliant as per usual
This years COD? It's not going to launch on game pass lmao
Gotta love how people thinks out of the box to make anything positive about Microsoft to a negative.
"yeah, but are they true gamers, or hippie vegans who misunderstood the question tho"
Yeah I'm not expecting the deal to close this year either.
You'll never see questions like that if it were the other way around. The door to the concern only swings one way apparently![]()
It doesn't matter whether the deal closes this year or not. You're not going to see COD day one on game pass for at minimum until
Why not?
Game pass doesn't equal exclusive.
I think that depends on how aggressive the ftc want to be other than that, it's going to be on GP.It doesn't matter whether the deal closes this year or not. You're not going to see COD day one on game pass for at minimum until 2025

Oh I don't think that's gonna be the case at all. I don't think Sony's perceived marketing agreement would prevent a day 1 game pass release.
What reason do you think it won't be on GP after the acquisition closes ?

Massive oof my guy. You have to have Gold/ Ps plus anyway, which costs more than the game! Might as well just get gamepass
Didn't know you were an insider at Microsoft. Your post history and avatar really fooled me.
Oh, yes it would. We already saw them do this with RE8. It should be a no brainer that they'll have covered their bases with their most valuable marketing deal.
You'll never see questions like that if it were the other way around. The door to the concern only swings one way apparently
Because it's their most expensive marketing deal and it should be obvious they'll want to cover their bases with subscription services.

You are correct. Here it is:
"During the term, Publisher shall not authorise, assist or encourage any third party to include the game in any Competetive Platform subscription service, including but not limited to Google Stadia Pro subscriptions, Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold, Project xCloud or Game Pass subscription service or similar Competetive Platform subscription service," it's written in the alleged contract."

Sony deal reportedly blocks Resident Evil Village's release on Xbox Game Pass
A full document that reveals a marketing deal between Sony and Capcom has been discovered in the leaked files. According to the deal, Resident Evil Village won't be coming to Game Pass at least for a full year since its launch.www.altchar.com
A handful on both sides of the blue and green temper tantrums keep it going day in and day out like it's their job to.Honestly I don't think comments like this add anything to the discussion. The door swings both ways here due to Gaf being host to many different communities.
I didn't realise common sense was an insider exclusive trait
We all became "insiders" when this stuff was leaked out of the Epic-Apple lawsuite.

It'll sure be a shame if some of them are no longer here when all the big news starts rolling out this year.
That's one games specific contract, not a universally binding one.
We have no idea what the extent of restrictions, if any at all, on the CoD deals are.
We won't know this until the deal closes, until then it's a safer assumption that like all other first-party games, the next one will land on game pass day 1.
It'll be universal. Hence why both Ghostwire and Deathloop also aren't on PC Gamepass
