Undetonated devices still on the subway

Several law enforcement sources say a man possibly dressed in clothing that resembles those worn by MTA workers threw some sort of device and opened fire.

Looks like a poorly planned and executed attack. He threw bombs that didn't work and fled. They aren't saying anyone died, so hopefully that won't change.

and never let out of prison!

Was reading this piece last week:

You certainly get the feeling things ain't so great in NYC. Inflation and worsening economic conditions only going to drive up crime.

I live a few blocks away. Shit is fucked.

Unfortunately, the description of the suspect is not very helpful because there's a MTA depot just one block away where there are dozens of people working right now that fit that description (sans gas mask, of course).

Hope they catch that piece of shit ASAP. This city is getting worse by the day.

No mention of race that I have seen.
Police described the suspected shooter as a man about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 180 pounds

No mention of race that I have seen.

Those of us nearby received the description on our phones. Black, 5'5", 180lbs, reflective construction vest, gas mask.

I remember 4 or 5 years ago, I used to take the very long tunnel that connects the Time Square station to Port Authority. I would think if some type of attack happened in that tunnel, I'd be screwed because the only exits are on the opposite ends. Then one day, if I would've came walked down that path about 10 minutes later than usual, I wouldve experienced this crap:

Thank god it was a failed explosive, I don't to ever experience this crap of the sort nor do I wish that on anyone.

Too many crazy people out there and its definitely getting worse now.

We wouldn't have this issue if they changed the gun laws it's about the mentality ill coordinator with multiple guns running around.

With all of the cameras in the city and subways, and all of the police (including undercover) around, I am surprised the suspect is still at large. This is like something out of a Batman comic. So sad.

It really is a fucking shame what's happening to NYC.
Hopefully, those that are injured pull through.
It really is. New York City is my hometown and this is sad to see.

BUT, this is what happens when you take the ridiculously SOFT stance on crime that NYC has these days. That, on top of the constant vilifying of the very people that are supposed to enforce the law.

The only answer is to have a tougher stance on crime like NYC did during the 90s (when I lived there). Yes, politicians are to blame, but the people keep voting for those politicians. I live in another major US city that is becoming increasingly crime-infested. You should see the NextDoor threads on crime: people have truly lost their minds these days, and they blame crime on everything EXCEPT the city's soft stance on crime and the vilifying of cops. All for dumb virtue signal points.

This going to go quietly in the memory hole like the Sacramento one?
And the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy.

but why wtf ??
I find this line of questioning to be quite naive, and I can't explain why. Are you asking why a terrorist carried out a [failed] terrorist attack? Why did Bin Laden plot 9/11? Why did the same group of Islamic terrorists carry out the 7/7 bombings? It doesn't take a genius to work out why.

NY has become so shit and we saw it coming. Crime is out of control and I think our officials and even police are complicit.

I go to a boxing gym there and know that neighborhood very well. I pass by on that station 36th at on the N or R every morning on my way to work. Nothing ever bad happens in that section of Brooklyn. I hope they quickly find the fuck who did this.

I'm just surprised he ended up shooting 10 people without killing anyone. There's at least some good news out of this bullshit.

No mention of race that I have seen.

The shooter, who fled the scene, was described as a 5-foot-5-inch Black man with a heavy build wearing a green construction vest and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

It is 1000% the DAs. If I was a cop I would not lift a fucking finger if the DA is not going to prosecute anyone.

Nowadays news tends to omit race in their report due to racism and negative stereotypes.

It was almost reported immediately

Right. I listened to CBS News live on YouTube... They kept mentioning his "race" every time they rattled off bus description. Some outlets omit it (for some dumb reason) and others don't... CBS, NBC and CNN all said he was a black male.
